Elizabeth May, The Green Party Grabbing into CPC Territory?
madmax replied to Catchme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is such a nonsense piece that May has given, it will be forgotten soon or she will get tripped up over it should she continue with such double speak. There is only One Party that is Anti Abortion and really means it. That is the Christian Heritage Party. -
Elizabeth May, The Green Party Grabbing into CPC Territory?
madmax replied to Catchme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Progressives are often fiscally conservative minded individuals without the Social Conservative Values. When the PCs and CA joined together, those that felt they had no home, joined all other parties, and also fringe parties that don't get alot of attention. These can be women, who like to work, like to do corporate business, and are pro choice, pro immigrant, pro business, social safety nets, pro social health care. What is the percentage? In a nutshell, the difference to give the Conservatives a Majority vs a Minority, and too take as many votes away from each other Party whom has received there votes by defaults. -

May has said, as clear as mud, that she supports those who speak out against abortion. That she supports her parties position of choice. Ta Da. -

I really couldn't care less about the 407 company and the scofflaws that don't pay. Fact is , one form of highway robbery or the other. Everyone whom uses the 407 shouldn't pay, and let the company chase em all for the money. Leasing the 407 will stand as one of the most incompentent ideas ever to possess a government.

Example #2 is hearsay. But there is nothing wrong with reporting fraud. Your friend telling you isn't doing anygood, because he is telling the wrong person. I have no problem ratting out fraudulent acts.

Best Prime Ministers Canada never had?

I remember working on them in the early 80's. Rain Water Coming inside, Power cuts out, Gull wing doors don't open. Body that waves back at you. -
I don't leave here because I can't. The immigration system in all other countries is far too strong to let a guy like me in. I don't believe you. I think it is because you are too lazy to try. I think you are full of excuses why you can't go anywhere.

Harper's foreign and social policy vs. fiscal

Thanks for providing Canadian Figures and estimates that are more current then the figures I came across earlier in this thread. -
I am getting a kick out of the apologists for the CPCs. Hey, just suck it up, its going to be one more thing in a string of broken promises and hypocritical acts. But it ain't going to make a hill of beans difference come election time.

I do know the strains on our health care system. But I don't know how many people repeatedly abuse our health care system because it's free?
-
Yup, I want you making direct decisions.
-
Well, what's stopping you. Get the F*** out now. Canada is no Shi*t hole of a country. You are damn lucky to be living in this country. Your a proud Canadian, my a**. I am proud of this country and it's history and its problems are quaint compared to other countries. You act like the big suck that hangs out at the coffee shop. You are too lazy to vote, why would I ever want your input in to making direct decisions. So, don't let the door hit you on the way out. But you won't leave, because you are too comfortable here. Which is why you find it so easy to complain.

Harper's foreign and social policy vs. fiscal
madmax replied to BC_chick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I too see this argument going round in circles. Regardless, isn't what you describe above, actually the system we have today? There are private facilities and doctors operating outside the system, for private cash. Right now the trend is for the Private Sector to get ahold of public money. P3 hospitals in Ontario. Private Emergencies. So, we will be using Public funds for Private Profit. But that is in Ontario. Each Province can run their Province there own way. -

The costs of the US health care system are provided in this thread. I provided them on December 26th. The costs are there for those interested in discussing health care in this thread. The Canadian figures are in Canadian Dollars. The US figures are in US dollars. I don't know what Saturn is Claiming for costs. -

I find it interesting that the "right" solution to health care is using solutions that are "leftist, and Euro-Socialist" You have a system, the federal government has lots of money in pocket and is not giving it to the provinces. So, if the Feds are going to hold onto the money, you only have to ask yourself, how much are you willing to pay out of your own pocket. And you cannot ignore the elephant in the room. The US is our next door neighbor. We have a trade agreement with them. They will participate in a market health care system in Canada. -
They won.

To save lives? People are dying in the world of a disease that is not only common, but spreading. There is nothing wrong with being a humanitarian, and not all life affirming decisions should be based soley on the bottom line.

The poster is correct. Much of Africa is very rich in resources. Oil, Diamonds, all sorts of things that would make nations envious. But the wealth goes as mentioned above.
-
He may well have been NDP. But Stephen Lewis is possibly the best western authority on the Aids Crisis in Africa. While any child suffering is a shame of society, the problem in Africa could very well become desperate. It is hard to run a society when the middle class is being decimated by aids. The middle class is the heartbeat of the nation. Africa's heartbeat is very troubled. There is a telling story of a government program that was set up, that they were showing off to the UN body. They marched the troupe of officials out to see a project run by women with aids. They grew vegetables, and other such things, and then the most healthy ones would take these goods to the market. Ofcourse women with aids are ostricized so this is like an old style leper community. So the UN officials thought this was a wonderful project. And just what do you do with the profits, what do all these working women with aids do with the money they earned? It was to purchase their coffins. I don't know if we are hypocritical or not?

Even Trudeau allowed for Cruise Missiles to be tested in the Artic. As for sovereignty and Norad, I am still and Avro Aero fan.

Yes, I read your link. It is a powder piece. Fox News is should never be the basis for any factual discussion, without any backup. 2nd it is a commentary, not a report. Your decimated city threat reminds me of Condi Rice and the Smoking Gun. Thanks for the fear factor. From Projects on Government Oversight. Missile Defence is a boon doggle Support it if you like. I don't and won't and our government is smart not too. Good for them.

It's in the article you sent us too. Perhaps you should read it again.

Well, he had a landslide of 27 votes. The bottom line is , will he get re elected? My guess is yes he will.
