If the media lied about the numbers, it was in Bush's favor!

Funny how Bush loves to dictate his speeches but, never answers questions on all of the bull he throws out there. Anyone can get out there and tell you of all the good things but, a true leader would come out and take questions cause he HAS NOTHING TO HIDE!!! State of the Union made me sick to my stomach, another speech misleading the American public.....pure deception by this administration!

Dog Clinton all you want but, wasn't the economy and job growth under his administration what kept in there 2 terms, much more than you can say about Bush.

That's the positive numbers but, not the whole story, now is it. Bush has mainly lost support from elder Americans, etc. Do you honestly believe that attacking Iraq without an exit plan and 97%+ of American Tax Payers dollars and Trust Funds was a good idea for a war based on WMD, which have not been found, selective writting in essays citing "British Intelligence" on Aluminum tubes from Niger, imminent threat, when supposedly the longest range weapon they have found only goes less than 600 miles, greeting us with flowers??????

You republicans voted for an administration and strong minds around the puppet Bush, you'll didn't vote for a single leader, he's gaining the benefits of his last name. However, he's done more harm to America than almost any other president before him..........he holds many of the records that people would not want to hold.. Was it the leftist media that lost nearly 3 million jobs since Bush took office? Was it the leftist media that helped GWB record the largest Federal Deficit in History, surpassing his father's record and not to mention, inherited the largest federal surpluss from Clinton, was it leftist media that had NO exit strategy in Iraq?

KK, I'm looking at the numbers and if you come back with a reliable source, i.e., link, with job growth, not taking another job in the name of lowering unemployment figures, then yes. Losing a mfg. job and becoming a waiter at a new hotel in town is not my view of equality in the job market.

Let's get down to the real economic issues: Where are the job creations from these enormous tax cuts? Nearly 3 million jobs lost since this moron took office and then wages an expensive war and acts as if we're going to get a lot of financial help from the U.N. countries he insulted before the war and then on top of that..........wants to give $10 billion away in lieu of lending it... Bush is this country's biggest threat... Jobs? Iraq War? Halliburton being the only bidder? Give our money away to an oil rich Iraq? Tax cuts for the wealthy so that they can turn around and write a check right back to Bush's campaign from those cuts?? WMD? Iminent Threat? North Korea says they have Nukes and would use them on us, yet we invade a country who says they don't have them? Divider, not Uniter contrary to what was said during his campaign?

And the Right Wing always wonders why they can't balance a budget yet, want to crucify a Democrat, ie., Davis, when he can't do it..........what a joke! That's why the incompetent Bush will not be in office after next election.

The majority of people voted for Gore.......FYI Anyway, I still laugh at the notion of comparing WWII to Iraq, again, I can see the comparison between Vietnam and Iraq much better. I don't recall Iraq invading all of its neighbors, only Iran and Kuwait and we helped them with arms, intelligence and bio/chemical warfare during Iran/Iraq war under Vice Pres. Bush and Rumsfeld back in the 80's. If anyone was still so worried about Iraq invading Kuwait and we're doing Kuwait such a huge favor then how come Kuwait isn't funding this war?.........yeah, I know why....... but let's not use the neighbor excuse then like Nazi Germany! Even if Iraq, like Nazi Germany, was to attack it's neighbors......would we care again, i.e., Syria, Iran??? This is a totally different scenario and right wingers desperately are trying to link justice to this expensive quagmire going on now... It won't last long, Bush doesn't have a chance at re-election anyway........

So, explain N. Korea, the country who has threatened and relate that to your 1930's Nazi Germany, Einstein? Also, since you want to compare past wars to Iraq, I've got a perfect past war that fits the bill even better.......................Vietnam, shall I give you the countless similarities to Iraq, much more than the ones you could make with Nazi Germany??? Germany was also filled with incredible scientist and excellent engineers capable of designing their own weapons and military machines. Iraq, as Thomas Friedman said in a recent interview, "is the Flinstones with Electricity." We're totally comparing apples and oranges and while you sit here and talk about Iraq and Nazi Germany of the 30's, there's N. Korea on the other side claiming their Nukes, threatening to use them, say they can hit the U.S., etc........yet, we're stretching our military in Iraq, or better known as the "Flinstones." Now the Pres. admits to no 9-11 ties to Iraq, cannot find WMD, told us that the Oil RICH Iraq could rebuild their own country, told the U.N. before the war we didn't need them and told them we needed them after we start struggling, said we were going to be greated with flowers and parades, said get rid of this Saddam and he would no longer be a threat to his neighbors, yet these Arab countries have not donated any money or troops for their "neiborly" cause................IT'S A BUNCH OF CROCK!

Looks like the right wing is suffering from Amnesia. I recall the president and his administration talking about Iraqi oil paying for their own rebuilding.......... Now, we don't want to LEND them money, we want to GIVE it away. We're talking about giving money in a time of over 2.7million jobs lost since this pres. took office, after large tax cuts with the rich benefitting the most, funding an expensive war alone because we didn't want to do business with the internation community, all the payoffs and bribes we paid Turkey to get their support before the war started and NO WONDER THIS PRESIDENT HAS SUPERCEDED HIS FATHER IN RECORDING THE LARGEST FEDERAL DEFICIT IN U.S. FREAKING HISTORY!!! RECALL DAVIS OR SHOULD WE BE RECALLING BUSH???????????????? And quit comparing Iraq to Nazi Germany......Iraq as we know, was NO IMMINENT THREAT! And only now is it a haven for terrorist, after this costly war!

Derek, The war on terrorism you talk about it is a point of debate with this administration. All the lies leading up to the war in Iraq and now it's a money hole and a new Mecca for terrorism this adminstration created. Spending more money to rebuild schools there than here. And speaking of the cost on the "War On Terrorism," it's funny how Bush wants to GIVE OUR MONEY AWAY, NOT LEND IT!!!! Bush is the real threat to America!

Sure there are jobs out there but there are many being lost daily, especially in manufacturing. Record Deficits only beating his father Bush in 92's record. And, a blast at Davis on his budget s shortfalls......how ironic! Can't blame everything on 9-11, that excuse has worn out!

That's just great, a president who looks out for the best interest of another country with an American Credit Card, courtesy of the American Tax Payers! He's upset because the Senate wants $10 billion to be in loans.............Just when I thought this President couldn't do the American People any worse than he already has.............BAM, he comes through! Also, this administration wants to GIVE money to Iraq in lieu of LOANING it to them to build schools when he won't put the money here to build schools and create jobs. Derek, That's not necessarily true and I don't have statistics as you don't either; however, I have a friend who is currently unemployed and interviewed 2 weeks ago for a bar tending job where his resume clearly shows his line of work. In discussion, the manager cited his concerns of hiring someone who the company has to invest in an employee whom they feel will be in for the long run and with his skill felt that he would leave at a drop of a dime when a job opening in his field opened. Again, employees are investments, it costs to train these people and any company would like to see a return on investment. WHY HIRE HIM WHEN THEY CAN HIRE SOMEONE YOUNG, ETC...

I still can't get over how bad people wanted to recall Davis and say the Democrats couldn't balance the budget in California; however, Bush, a Repuplican, is credited for the Largest Federal Deficit in U.S. history AND, he even inherited the largest Federal Surpluss in history from Clinton..........this doesn't even count in the $89 billion plus $50 plus Billion that Bush expects/hopes to get from the U.N. to pay for Iraq. SHOULDN'T WE BE RECALLING BUSH???

Sure a good percentage of the skilled labor force, who were the one whom lost their jobs could get a burger job, possibly? Is this your idea of a President doing a good job where everyone could/should be working? Remember, over skilled workers often don't get hired because the interviewer views it as a person who would quit when something else more appropriate comes up. Derek, that's a pretty crappy way to talk about the unemployed........your conservatism just came out in the open like that!

Derek, Before you get too excited, don't forget that Arnie is a moderate, i.e, Pro-Choice, Environmentalist (contradiction to his collection of Hummers), etc... Not to mention, his wife, a Kennedy, helped his cause out a lot so I would have to say this will do nothing for winning the electoral for President. Don't forget that California is also feeling the lost jobs after the Bush administration took office and they want to point the finger at Davis. Every state is feeling the Bush economics but since Cali is the largest economy in the states, they feel it even more.
