The same weapons were used on the Kurds. If you recall, Bush made a big deal in push towards war against Iraq about the Chemical warfare on his own people; however, it was never an issue 15 years ago when his father, Bush, was Vice President...........the reason, because WE gave them those weapons.... Now 15 years later, we try to pursuade the American public by telling them of these atrocities.........15 years later, his father and Reagan could have done something then....

First I would stick to finding the people responsible for 9-11, i.e., Osama Bin Laden and not make the situation larger than we can handle. Saddam was an unfinished job by many in this current administration, not to mention the assasination attempt on Bush Sr., which had revenge written all over it for dubya. I would stand strong against terrorism and hard lined against Saddam but, U.N. inspectors were allowed back into Iraq with military back-up in Kuwait. I would have never rushed into war and perhaps kept to threats only. Most of all, I would have not alienated our allies and the U.N. because in the end, we need their support, intelligence, troops, and money. We could be focusing on the economy and needs at home right now. I think Gen. Wesley Clark is our best chance at restoring our dignity on Foreign Affairs right now cause you do not want to travel abroad right now as an American, we're hated even more and people hope another attack on us for our bad behavior.

You are seriously trying to stretch an issue. Professional sports is a totally different and unique case. This is not an everyday job and usually a priviledge for anyone athletic enough to come in and make that much money, this case is apples to oranges in the worst way. We are talking about normal jobs, low paying and mid-paying jobs and sometimes, but rarely, high paying jobs. Jobs to help feed a family, not jobs to purchase a small island out in Carribean. We're talking money and education for necessity, not luxury and leisure.. This is the purpose of AA, not Professioanl Sport in the light you shine on it.............

I don't know what your insecurity is all about but, it sounds a bit premature. There are AA supporters trying to help those in need, not help those who are NOT in need. Hunger relief is not to help those full of food. Rehabilitation is not for people without a problem. Don't you get it now, it's to help those who need it, not the other way around.... A poor nation like Mexico is bordered with the big bad rich U.S.A., you think these people should just sit at home with no job and not even think about the possibilities that America brings to them???? Of course big business want immigrants here, at least they still employ Americans as well, lot of companies are leaving the U.S. to find cheaper labor elsewhere and then we really lose. The skin color is the advantage, the white guy will still never have the same problems in finding a job compared to other minorities, never. You can use that excuse all you want but, reality of it is that we as a country need to help those having the problems. If we can go and rebuild Iraq, the least we can do is build a structure withIN the U.S. to help those in need of a job. Don't forget, we're the No. 1 economy in the world and you want it to be reserved for one group of people.... Look, if we educate and employ those groups in need, it will help them in having their families education and then a good cycle begins. If you keep holding these groups to fight for themselves in a white market, the education level and parent involvment in children's education stays low, in turn, high crime, poverty and welfare rates.....PICK YOUR POISON!!!

Whistler, Where do you think that Saddam got those bio/chem weapons from? I'll tell you, they got them from Bush Sr. and Rumsfeld under the Reagan administration back in the 80's, that's another reason they knew they had them. But if you're really hung up on them having WMD, what's the story with N.Korea threatening to use them on the U.S., sell them to anyone, etc..... The fact is, no WMD found (possibly destroyed 10 yrs ago), no Uranium from Africa, no Saddam/9-11 link.............NONE, and now we're sitting in a war with no end in sight, a Mecca for terrorist to meet and kill American occupation like sitting ducks...

Hugo, Sounds like you're using this whole Asian thing as a Scapegoat. I don't understand the two wrongs making a right either. AA is the only way right now to level the field of discrimination, not because one may hate another race but, because they accustomed to their onw, it's what they know of their own race and unfortunately, it ends up discriminating against others. AA is also a promotion of diversity, how can that be bad in a country where the words, "melting pot," became popular. Perhaps you prefer the old segregation days but, those are days of the past and some of us look toward the future and correcting our mistakes.

Achilles, You're living in a perfect world if it was that easy to say, "Everyone shall be treated equally," and Wa-la, it is that way; unfortunately, the court has to make a way to level the playing field cause all the fit, white males would be receiving most of the jobs. There's a voice in America screaming for help for employment and education and studies show that WHITE males are 400% more likely to obtain a position over an equally qualified black male. These studies have conclusions which happen to be Affirmative Action. For every white male who missed an employment opportunity due to a black male under AA, there were at least 4 more blacks who didn't get it because of a white male..... Sure you're against it, you're white and can care less is a minority can get a job or not. White employers are the majority and they want to hire people who speak and look like them....common psychology!

Nova, Just look at what's happening under the Bush/Cheney administration, that gives you a sneak preview of the "Craig Philosopy." The only reason Bush isn't too tough on the Mexicans is because his sister-in-law is Mexican and he unfortunately has a lot of Mexican supporters because of it. And I've seen the Mexicans hard at work myself, doing the jobs no one else wants to do at low rates. From removing asbestos, picking vegetables, scrubbing cities with money, i.e., Houston, San Antonio.. These people (not all as in all situations) are happy to be making a better living than they were at home, how can anyone knock them for it.................

I knew there was never any evidence of this but, the President let people think through implications to gain support on the war against "terra," and especially Iraq. Well, he finally admitted it after Cheney was drawn into the question on Meet The Press Sunday and I hope these Bush supporters are listening and realize that they have been had. No WMD, no Saddam/9-11 link, no Uranium from Africa and no end in sight in this Vietnam-like financial and death entrenchment cause our eager president wanted to rush off to war...... He and his right with wing radicals shall be held responsible.

Lieberman is becoming more and more unpopular by the day because he wants to send more troops to Iraq with our troops already dying daily. The correct answer to more troops was to have more international/U.N. troops in lieu of Americans. The answer is not American troops and you can see Lieberman drop daily, he's a horrible candidate! America has done some great things but, it also has many skeletons in the closet. From the Indians, the Mexicans, blacks and slavery, Vietnam, Atomic bomb on cities as a non-military target, giving WMD to Saddam and Osama in the 80's to fight off the Iranians and Russians, respectively.

Before you attack Nucleus, you would have to see why this happened in the 1st place. Look at our Foreign Policy in those Muslim regions of the world, see why people HATE AMERICA more than THEY LOVE LIFE, this is far more complex since these terrorists took their own lives to kill us. To simply go and attack is not the answer. I do understand the reasoning behind the Taliban invasion in Aphganistan but, to attack Iraq and entrench us the way this moron has done is completely outrageous!!! We need to re-establish P.R. in those regionsin lieu of alienated our allies, that's how we gather information on terror, not attack everyone and insult our former allies. More innocent people have died in Afganistan and Iraq than all in 9-11, you think this doesn't transform more moderate muslims into radicals, building hate even further??? Learn from the Palestinian/Israeli conflict, attacking terror by killing terrorist and innocent is not going to stop the cycle now is it?

I live in New Orleans dominated by blacks and Asians here. Asians do not seem to have a problem opening business and becoming successful as the blacks do. I don't hear too much of Asians having any problems, AA is to protect or to help those who are having problems, i.e., blacks, obese, woman, and even handicapped but, blacks are the ones that need the help the most so AA is written mostly around that group, you know, the ones who really really need it... So much for narrow mindedness.....

I still get a kick out of conservatives attacking Davis on his budget short-falls but, forget that their president, G.W.Bush has recorded the HIGHEST Federal deficit in U.S. history, not to mention, he inherited the largest Federal Surpluss from Clinton..................Irony!

It's still crazy that we make laws for those people who don't concern you or I as heterosexuals. We make a law for them to stay behind and this is suppose to be a free country??
