Speaking of party platforms - perhaps the Bloc, NDP and Liberals should have campaigned that they would form the government together should they get enough seats instead of explicitly ruling that option out? If you are going to be arguing about self-serving politics we have a War and Peace volume to go through on the Coalition of Losers. If they Campaigned on this coalition, that would be different. The Conservatives are going to get a boost from this mess. The Liberals are in existential difficulties - Perhaps the Conservatives should make their own bed more often then? You can't have it both ways. You can't argue for technical parliamentary procedures for your side whilst lambasting the other side for doing the same thing. (unless of course you are just here as a hack and not an honest debater)

Incorrect. The Proroguing Parliament has been done before, many times in fact, in the Westminster system. I understand being partisan, but I cannot tolerate hypocricy. Neither it seems, can the Canadian public.

It's 'ok' if they do it now, according to the rules in place. They may not be too popular with the electorate the next time an election does come around however. You may also want to check out the polls that have come out recently that indicate the the Conservatives are well within majority territory right now because of this fiasco. The Liberals have made a very large strategic mistake hoping for a tactical victory. This is worse than a phyric victory. Hannibal did much better.

Incorrect (again going 2/2 here) The Conservatives won 37% of the popular VOTE. They have almost 50% of the seats. If you are going to call a good chunk of the Canadian public, ignorant, uneducated fascists it would behoove you to have your facts straight else you end up looking like a fool. Your choice.

How can you call the 'masses' ignorant when you write things like this? but by know means I mean, that is not a typo, that is not knowing the difference between 'no' and 'know' because they sound similar. Almost a majority? They were something like 12 seats shy of having a majority of the seats in the Parliament, meaning that they would not need opposition support in order to pass legislation.
