If you have read the news and help section, I believe there was a discussion about citing sources and providing information to back up your assertions instead of making sweeping generalizations and expect everyone else to know what you're talking about. Please do so in the future.

How insightful and profound, Mr Chater. I find it funny that conservatives do exactly the same. But of course, I know times change...

Clark, Can He Win?
Mr Farrius replied to nova_satori's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Fact is, anyone would be better than Bush. Already the Bush is slipping in the eyes of the American public. While Bush may be good at charging off to defend this nation without purely democratic motives, he has done nothing but plunge this nation into a deficit as soon as he entered office. There are many out there who regret voting for Bush. Most might have voted for him because he's a total idiot, and the logic would be, if he's an idiot, he'd surround himself with smart people to heed intelligent advice. Obviously he's also a stubborn idiot who has had a great time in his 4 years of office screwing around with the United States. -
Affirmative Discrimination and Racism
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
What country are you from?? Your argument about equality is extremely bizarre. First of all, equality doesn't refer to the physical aspects of anybody. I hope you know that it mostly refers to opportunities and rights. Just because someone is less talented than someone else doesn't mean, they should not have the same opportunities. You once again clearly misunderstand and I won't go on to explain. -
Religion In Public Schools
Mr Farrius replied to Democracy of Steve's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Cameron: Before you speak any more of that rubbish, I suggest you respect the views of other people. Your ridiculous statement that religion is robbing us of everything is purely your own impetuousness. Nobody cares if you will put down religion, especially Christianity. Watch what you say about the Bible, that's offensive and stupid because you most likely haven't read the entire Bible and know it by heart, least of all understand it. -
Affirmative Discrimination and Racism
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Hugo, your idea of a world isn't possible and you know it. That's why people in the present society should make best of it. You say you're not racist? Well doing nothing while you KNOW that minorities aren't getting the same opportunities is also racist. Choose. -
U.s. Gave Saddam Wmd In The 80's
Mr Farrius replied to Bushmustgo's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The U.S. has supported many of its present enemies in the past, many times. At max, the 3rd time it should have discovered its stupid mistakes, and it should've stopped giving support. But of course, with people like Bush in office, intelligence and advisors get ignored. -
Affirmative Discrimination and Racism
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
For you anti-AA supporters, I don't get you people. You'd rather have such a huge gap between the likelihood of getting jobs based on race? Hey maybe AA does limit the majority race a bit, but at the very least, it does more to promote diversity than not at all. If you people want to get rid of AA because it'll prevent a little of the majority race from getting the opportunities they've been having already for a long time, that's what I call plain selfish. Grow up and let other people get some more opportunities. -
Oh, so defense has become assasination huh? It's because of this kind of stupidity that the U.S. charged off to Iraq and is wriggling to get out. Because Saddam and his non-existing WMDs were a "threat".

Religion In Public Schools
Mr Farrius replied to Democracy of Steve's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Fine. But you certainly don't have the right to make anyone else pray with you. Sad... whatever happened to freedom of religion? Of course confining practice of religion strictly to one's own home would be contradictory to that. I believe the founding fathers were prevented from exercising freedom of religion outside of their homes, so they made this valuable principle part of the Constitution. -
Affirmative Discrimination and Racism
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The difference between White and Asian is that White is the majority while Asian is a minority. I don't think we're talking about Asians here because though they don't seem to have a problem with getting into colleges, they're still a minority. Small minority infact, compared to the Hispanic and African-American population. They are not an issue here. Like someone previously mentioned, AA is only for people who need it. Whites on the other hand, is the majority in the United States. The United States can't have its majority race taking over every educational and job opportunity. -
Exactly. That is why killing Arafat would just cause another 9-11. America has enough middle eastern enemies and if it was wise, it wouldn't make anymore. Would any Palestinian, terrorist or civilian feel secure if the U.S. didn't like their leader so it assasinated him? Get real. If America doesn't realize that, it's hopeless.
-
Hah, let the U.S. find Osama first. After all, Bush continuously emphasized the War on Terror after 9-11 right? Or did he revoke that also? The U.S. has no business in assasinating leaders. It failed once already and made it the laughingstock of the world.

Religion In Public Schools
Mr Farrius replied to Democracy of Steve's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Well it's just unfortunate that the "clear-headed" American founding fathers decided that since they weren't allowed to publically express their religion under British rule, they would include it in the American Constitution. Freedom of religion is important. Tell me, does religion in public places interfere with the practice of your own? As long as it doesn't prevent you from exercising your own religion, deal with it. I think that the American people have a lot more to worry about right now than complaining about the First Amendment. -
Wesley Clark To Run?
Mr Farrius replied to Black Dog's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
True that Blackdog. Bush has charged off to war after a tax cut. Now the government has no money to spend for all the things it has claimed to support (Iraq). We need a true liberal who will pull out of the war, and fix up things domestically. The more candidates to get Bush out, the better. -
Sue The Airlines For 9-11 ?
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
As I have not been on this forum in a while, I apologize for the delay of my response. First of all, I agree that it's impossible to anticipate every attack. My point was that if all possible measures like the ones in the article aren't being taken, that's negligence, and negligence should pay. Maybe the airlines shouldn't be sued for causing the deaths of these people, but certainly for not taking all possible measures to protect these people. Read the article. Total apathy for the safety of passengers. -
What you people dont' realize is that killing Arafat would make him a martyr and just cause more suicide bombings. Just look at the bombings on the rise as attempts are made for peace. Killing Arafat would cause another 9-11. I suggest the U.S. be wise about its actions.

Not to mention the deaths of American soldiers everyday. -
Candidate '04
Mr Farrius replied to Democracy of Steve's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Lieberman will most likely be the top candidate because while he realizes that the U.S. troops need to remain occupying Iraq to clean up the mess Bush made, he can do a lot more domestically at the same time. Especially with the tax cut that Americans will soon have to pay three times more back to cover the remarkable shift from a surplus to deficit as soon as Bush moved into office. -

Sue The Airlines For 9-11 ?
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
http://www.msnbc.com/news/964618.asp#BODY If you read this article, you'll find that America isn't really a safe place after all. America has prided itself on its security, but it may not be the case after all. The American government seems to lie to its citizens about the safety of our nation and the measures taken to ensure it. -
As I am ignorant in the area of military tactics, just how would 37,000 US troops roll into Korea without the NK knowing in advance? If there are to be more US troops stationed at the DMZ to invade NK "in strength", once again, how will that be accomplished without the NK (who has a million man army) knowing in advance?

What's beyond common sense is the fact that genocide is actually considered a last resort. Let me ask you all this. Do you speak for the majority of Americans? If not, then I am very sure that Americans would be offended to hear such slander about the American nation.
-
I agree. It's just totally ironic that a nation built on freedom and people's rights is supposed to annhiliate any country that messes with it. Genocide?? Since when did Americans become Nazis? Genocide should never be a last option, or any option at all, and can never be an option. How can America preach about human rights and the erros of discrimination and racism and use genocide as a defense plan? Plain absurdity.

Sue The Airlines For 9-11 ?
Mr Farrius replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Hugo, are you excusing the negligence of the airlines?? Yes, it was terrorists who bombed the world trade center and the pentagon. But they could have been stopped, had the airlines taken adequate measures to prevent them. They didn't. Right now, the families of those dead people are out for blood. I say the airlines is a good place to start because of their carelessness in ensuring the safety of their planes. I'm not saying that the airlines directly caused the strategy. It is quite obvious who must pay in the end. But the airlines were totally apathetic about taking adequate safety measures and they should be prosecuted accordingly. evilpeachblossom, you want the U.S. to take out Liberia? For what reason? Has Liberia done anything to the U.S.? The problem with Al-Queda and Iraq is far from over. Which is why Bush wants international cooperation involved. To make the job easier.
