  1. Half true...and they didn't care about Canada's victims either. The look and whining from Kerry losers is priceless to this day. I'll moreover... what they didn't say wasn't true anymore either. Pikes Karl Rove whatever they want too.
  2. At first this seems shocking, but then as you think it through, it makes more sense. Gonzales is the same guy who tried to legitimize sexual abuse in Abu Ghrab. So this is really just part of a pattern of Gonzales enabling sexual abuse of helpless detained victims. Likely he's indulging a persistent and bizarre fetish that motivates him -- sexual abuse of detained and helpless males. I wonder if he shares this proclivity with others in the Bush administration, or if he's a rogue element in this regard.
  3. Wouldn't you think that homosexuals are interested in bare chested men?
  4. The range and extent of financial corruption, inquiry stonewalling, resignation of the leader, deaths of suspects in custody, specious search warrants against journalists, strange deaths of Mounties on duty, and suspicious interventions in elections leads to an obvious question. Can the RCMP be trusted?
  5. He being Jim Hart? *If true* is a big question supposition to make. How can you say that when his comments in the fax SAY EXPLICITLY his resignation was contingent on the negotiation?
  6. BEFORE the incriminating fax was found. Don't you see how that is insufficient? Waiting until his minions decide he's done nothing wrong doesn't solve the conflict of interest that it is HIS MINIONS purporting to decide nothing is wrong.
  7. Found where? Youtube video presents a good question. Where was it stolen from? What youtube video? I heard it was found among paper left by the tories in the office of the opposition. Against Hart, Stock or Rod Love? What a thorougly imbecilic comment!
  8. Well thank you for admiting you know absolutely nothing about this matter.
  9. Yeah, we know that Britain has no warlike tendencies whatsoever, that Tony Blair NEVER wants to get involved in any kind of conflict, and that as a close Bush ally Britain wouldn't participate in an international propaganda campaign like falsely accusing another country of having WMDs. Unthinkable!
  10. I think you misinterpret this poll. It's not about how bad a president Bush is; that's established. It's about our view and perspective on history and what the sheer badness of Bush gives us the perspective to think about. Imagine if Bush had been merely mediocre or even poor -- we'd have no insight into the true downside of incompetence and malevolence coming together in an administration at the same time. It's probably good that America got to try out a really terrible president at a time they were reasonably comfortable and strong rather than when they had been weakened. Electing a president as bad as Bush during a true time of challenge would have been even more disastrous. Why, Bush could have destroyed America if he'd had a proper opportunity!
  11. He was still re-elected president. I guess he didn't kill or maim enough people, eh? Clearly, the U.S. electorate just didn't give a fuc* about the needless deaths Bush has inflicted on U.S. military members and others.
  12. Has Stockwell stepped aside yet, or is he corruptly continuing to oversee the police investigating the serious allegations about his riding? It would be highly irregular and rather shocking for him to continue as minister responsible for the RCMP, given that the fax the Liberals found makes it clear that the member who gave up his riding did so on the basis of a 'negotiation'.
  13. Back on the OP, I figure Bush is responsible for from about 3,000 up to 500,000 needless deaths (during his presidency), depending on how you calculate it. Then there's maimings and psychological trauma to consider. And of course destruction of homes, disruption of lives, etc. And that's just the human side of the Bush disaster. When you consider the damage he's done economically and politically the scale of the debacle becomes staggering.
  14. Well Rue, I've decide to report you for stalking and trolling. Do you report yourself everytime you post one of your assine polls? You really should..... Fortunately, your private tastes are not the measure. Personally I think my polls are brilliant and insightful. Maybe you just don't understand them.
  15. Kill the women! Kill the children! Kill! Kill! Kill! YAAAAY GENOCIDE!
  16. Well Rue, I've decided to report you for stalking and trolling. Your drive to lie about my comments is troubling. I have never commented on the 'confessions' Iran claimed the sailors gave, nor have I asserted that Iran has proven their case, or that Iran is in the right in this situation. Posting falsehoods about other posters is egregious behavior from which you should desist.
  17. Oh Christ. Read the goddam thread, wouldya.
  18. Re-read post #112.
  19. Okay Mr. Bluth, let's have a reasoned discussion regarding your support for the Conservatives. Where do you stand on the destruction of wealth Harper inflicted on investors when he reneged on his income trust promise?
  20. Okay, I'll ask. What is your ludicrous justification for that assertion? They could have been in Iraqi or Iranian waters too. Not really. The British weren't just sightseeing. They were conducting an armed boarding mission. Iran's success in the diplomatic battle lately is pretty strong. You might get burned on that prediction.
  21. As I already noted above, Ricki, Greg Sorbara, finance minister of Ontario did the right thing and stepped aside when he faced this kind of conflict of interest. I know you tories love pissing on institutions like Parliament, but it's traditions have gotten us quite far after all.
  22. It's amazing the kind of guff you tories take in the name of your party. You don't care that Steve's wasting your money or funding tax cuts in Quebec. You don't mind if Stockwell Day's seat was bought. You're AOK with a Prime Minister who tries to make a virtue of dishonesty. Must be nice.
  23. Because Officer Holland Doright wants him to? No, because the implications of the fax are obvious. Stockwell needs to step aside until the RCMP either clears him or not. If he stays and they clear him, he will never be really clear.
  24. No doubt, but he also led a fledgling America against the most powerful Empire on the planet. At the time it was considered suicidal by so called "loyalists" who fled to Canada. Broke and losing the war, alliances and financing were sought from afar. What was this George W. thinking? You're not seriously trying to compare George Washington and George Bush are you? No slur... it's an old Chinese curse: 'May you live in interesting times.'
  25. Still links to a five day old story. Really? STILL?????? My God! Thanks for the update, Ricki.
