  1. Hardly silent. It was Martin who initiated the Gomery Inquiry. There are already new Liberals not associated with any of the last cabinets being nominated. A lot of the old war horses are gone.
  2. Canada also left Somalia early. The problems there were insurmountable. They still are. The governments of most NATO countries are carefully evaluating the situation in Afghanistan. We have to ask what our vital interest is and if we are truly serving Afghanistan. I still think a rapid deployment force to crush any al Qaeda encampments that spring up may be more effective. The rest of the country we can leave to their tribal ways and offer help through regular aid channels.
  3. Looks like I was too quick to reply. Saga has been discovered.
  4. Some of their sources were linked to other wesbites. One of those sites asked who the real leadership of the Six Nations was. And why all the firings if they are united?
  5. I have asked the moderator to determine whether you are one of the banned posters from earlier on.
  6. Please address these other concerns: Who actually speaks for the Six Nations and why all the firings? http://www.caledoniawakeupcall.com/peaceful/myths.html
  7. Is this how Six Nations have peaceful protest? http://www.caledoniawakeupcall.com/peaceful/myth1.html
  8. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14173683/ And Lieberman is likely going to be killed because of his position in Iraq. I wonder if he will try to be a spoiler and run as an independent. He'll just let a Republican win.
  9. Are you Saga just using another identity? If you are, the moderator can certainly know.
  10. There are hundreds of other projects going on of home renovations, road construction. Are you suggesting that all non-Natives will be evicted from Canada?
  11. This, of course, is under dispute. In the mean time, 500,000 people are not about to be evicted out of their present homes.
  12. It is very doubtful anyone's getting evicted despite your claims to the contrary. You'll just have to accept that. Nor are they likely to be clamoring for a lesser form of citizenship in the Six Nations. I think you probably speak for no one but yourself and that's fine. However, it isn't going to change the fact that the claim is disputed and that negotiations have been going on since the 1990s. You can peacefully protest one subdivision but the land in question are enormous and you can't be everywhere all the time. Homes will be built, roads constructed and municipal, provincial and federal government operations going on unfettered. 500,000 people will eventually be 600,000 people. And they will call themselves Canadians and will not be moving anywhere.
  13. Why would it be our problem when you don't recognize Canadians or that Canada has any land. You should be talking to rest of the nations of the world.
  14. You've said before there is no sovereign government to negotiate with. And you don't recognize Canada. Seems to me that for you anyway negotiations can't happen.
  15. The comments on Graham are uncalled for and raise the potential of a lawsuit. You should retract them.
  16. Securing the area has meant defeating the Taliban. That is what General Fraser said last night when he was being interviewed about the deaths of the four soldiers. Reagan cut and run from Lebanon after having Marines mombed in Beirut. His people told him that the battle couldn't be won by U.S. troops and it wasn't. Harper can continue the present policy and be defeated or he can be like Reagan and let the people of Afghanistan work out their own problems.
  17. http://www.cbc.ca/story/business/national/...08/04/jobs.html Manitoba had the biggest increase in unemployment in Canada.
  18. And yet your own ability to enforce your laws on 500,000 people remains impotent.
  19. I'll not be responding further and have reported this post as religious trolling.
  20. This latest pedophile has been out there on the loose under the Conservatives.
  21. The BC case is not as black and white as he claims. Delgamuukw is judgement that covers this issue. Under Delgamuukw bands must prove that they occupied the land to the exclusion of others before 1846, the year Britain declared sovereignty over the area that became British Columbia. Then they have to prove some degree of continuity from that occupation until today.Futhermore, the SCC made it very clear in Delgamuukw that it wants to see a negotiated settlement that achieves "the reconciliation of the preexistence of aboriginal societies with the sovereignty of the Crown.”. IOW - natives groups most definately do not have title to the lands today. They have a right to prove their claim to title and the gov't must enter into good faith negotiations, however, the court has also set the clear expectation that aboriginal groups must be reasonable in their demands as well. Ah. That makes sense. A complicated process to be sure and no wonder it takes years to settle a land claim case. I wonder if environmentalist will support some of these claims this time knowing that they will be betrayed later on.
  22. It could prove to be a problem in some seats in Canada. However, the Liberals could also pick up support elsewhere in these ridings for their position while the Tories lose it. A lot will depend on who the Liberals pick as their leader.
