Muslim Honor Killing in Kingston
Jerry J. Fortin replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yet my reply was not against the law, the murder was. Actions and reactions must always be taken into context and judged according to the rule of law. -
I will suggest that taxation is indeed a question to be pondered, but it needs to be done in a manner that is chosen by the will of the people. I say this because it is the will of the people to select a government whose only source of revenue is the people. What I am getting at is context.

Really? It is hard for me to understand! Such an action as murder cannot be understood to justify any action short of the preservation of life. That is a given in this nation. Feelings of despair or depression, lack of confidence, low self esteem or any other negative emotion should not be considered as justified cause for murder. -

No, not at all. Most Canadians are unaware of this nations problems let alone any other nations problems and certainly not what other nations see as our problems as they relate to their own. -

Usury, the lending of money at interest used to be a crime. Now the criminals are running the show, is it any wonder that the behavior has escalated? -
What plan for the upcoming boom?

Lets take it a step further; consumption creates the demand for production. When the demand cannot be realized with local production then a desire to import replaces that local production. Production creates wealth, and it provides employment. Production is therefore a means to an end. -
What if they don't want to give up the right to associate freely? What about the law that says they have the right to organize?

We are forgetting that this is just a crime. It has nothing to do with anything else. In this nation it is a crime. In this nation our heritage and our laws says that such acts are criminal, and they need to be punished. -
What plan for the upcoming boom?
Jerry J. Fortin replied to Machjo's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If you really want to solve for the economic equation you will need to rethink banking and the entire financial system. Monetary policy is one variable but in addition their is fractional reserve banking, speculative markets and a host of other variables. The simple truth is that all of these man made systems are designed to make profits instead of products. When we lose sight of production we miss the boat. In economic terms production is everything. That is a basic concept, one that we seem to forget. -
Why is there such an uproar about this issue? We are talking about a terrorist organization that is trying very hard to blackmail a nation into giving up their sovereignty. If the Palestinians give up violence, they are worthy of diplomatic relations, if not they are worthy of extinction, which is what they have been saying of Israel. Let them reap what they sew and solve their own problems. It is not as if you could expect any other nation to react in any other way.

I hope folks here understand that part of the problem is that GP's are not growing in number very rapidly. Most folks who become doctors tend to specialize and work in the big cities. -

So you folks see his crime as a big deal to society, I guess it was. Many people were harmed by his actions. Much pain and suffering was experienced and he was in fact responsible for these things. What of the banks who through their own actions become insolvent or the other corporations that become insolvent due to their own actions and cause harm to their investors and clients? -

Has the national Anthem lost all meaning?
Jerry J. Fortin replied to Machjo's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The national anthem, is what it is, which is a song. Does it stir my heart? No, because it isn't even close to the truth. It is a dream in a nation that is afraid to dream. It is a riddle wrapped in an enigma and does little to represent this nation at all. -

Planning is the function of government. Unfortunately day to day operations seem to take precedence. -

Has the national Anthem lost all meaning?
Jerry J. Fortin replied to Machjo's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Where did I contradict myself? I have never said that any exception should be granted to anyone let alone Christians. What I did say was that Christians settled in Canada and made it into a nation. I do suggest that public schools should not have religion in them. I do think that religion should not be forced upon people, and I do think that religion should be kept away from politics at almost any cost. I do think there have been religious nuts, from all of the faiths or believers, and I think that they have caused harm to people.
