  1. My comment was based on yours. Keeping Israel behind 67 borders is not salami slicing - that is in fact what Israel is doing to the Palestinian state - all kosher no doubt. As I said, it's in Israel's own interest to give the Palestinians a state - it has the best chance of producing peace and would put the western friends of Israel firmly on it's side. Doing an ethnic cleanse of Palestinians, not so much.
  2. Well, there you go, we agree then. So you should be arguing with jbg. I agree it's in Israel's interest to not give the Palestinians a viable state. None of he options that Israel has are ideal, I think this is the best of the bunch.
  3. I look at Canada, the US, western Europe, and Jews do exceptionally well. And live in peace, certainly compared to Israel. I notice you chose to address my comment following jgb's, but not his. Just how reasonable and two state solution oriented are you, when you only respond in that fashion, don't address Israel pushing the Palestinians out of the West Bank?
  4. As I was saying. If that's the attitude, why not just give the shitty little state of Israel to the Arabs then, and let the Jews emigrate to Western countries? They'll do well there, and can live in peace. Lots of religious/ethnic groups don't have their own state, so it's no big deal. No more fuss and fighting.
  5. Several unreasonable people on this forum don't. A one state solution that drives the Palestinians into the Jordan is also unacceptable, despite some people's fantasies.
  6. Explain how having the flu would cause bankruptcy? I also posted this: Nice try tho. And there's this: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/01/05/1051848/-Medical-bills-cause-62-percent-of-nbsp-bankruptcies# ie 8 percent became bankrupt due to loss of income.
  7. It will not take the police to keep the FN's safe, since any violence on 2nd Nations part would be very small, and met by greater violence on the part of the FN's. I certainly hope 2nd Nations people don't take matters into their own hands, but put pressure on their politicians to have the police (military if necessary) to deal with any FN violence. I hope INM does stir things up to the point where 2nd Nations people finally wake up to protecting their own interests.
  8. Very reassuring, that.
  9. Fixed that for you. Thank God they don't go on mass shooting sprees. Of Americans, at least.
  10. They don't believe it. Just as we didn't believe the trees would ever run out in BC, so we did a lot of timber mining.
  11. Ah, the Derek L dodge. What's that got to do with his argument?
  12. Of course they do. Mo money from the govt. It's still resource extraction of a sort, except the tax payer is the resource. Nice life if you can get it, and you can get it if you're Aboriginal.
  13. Good to hear it. What does that have to do with what the other poster said? Do you think everything is about you?
  14. Actually if you read the whole quote that you snipped your quote from, they tell you exactly how high their bills were, on average. What's wrong with you? Read: Amazing how high the out of pocket medical costs were for the people who had medical insurance. So you pay huge premiums for coverage (or your employer does, so he can't pay you more salary) and then you pay huge sums as co-pays. Nice.
  15. They don't exist? How is it bias?

  18. 20 rounds 10 max in extended capacity magazines.
  19. I've edited to correct the link, but your answer is right in the part I quoted.
  20. Mass Shooting Incidents in America (1984-2012) http://www.nycrimecommission.org/initiative1-shootings.php follow the link to see specifics. This link is about large capacity magazines. A significant percentage of these mass shootings were by semi-auto rifles.
  21. Much less of a bind than their current policy puts them in. Israel may not have a choice between wonderful and terrible, but less bad is better than more bad.
  22. Weasel words and a dodge. The number of posts by you about Canada would seem to put a lie to this. paranoid much? How exactly would we do that? You claimed you live in Texas, and you feel it's your duty to post on this forum because it's hosted in Texas. So is this more American ignorance about geography? Or, since you also said you are in Tel Aviv, just more of your bs?, =========================================================================== B.C. teen paralyzed after 27-month wait for surgery http://www.cbc.ca/ne...ery-report.html Quote Lack of health insurance is a major problem in the United States, and it has significant health consequences.1,2 Compared with the insured, uninsured individuals have a higher prevalence of chronic medical illness, greater physical morbidity, and higher mortality.3,4,5 They face greater barriers to accessing care—they are less likely to have a regular source of medical care, less likely to see a physician when acutely ill, and more likely to delay needed care due to concerns about cost.6 Even when they achieve access to care, it is often a lower quality of care than that received by people with health insurance coverage.7,8,9 http://www.ncbi.nlm....les/PMC1071459/
  23. You used my comment as a spring board, don't know why in that case. This is apparently Palestinian land. If the owners of the land have no problem with this (this I don't know) why would Israel? If Israel wants to make annexation of all Palestinian lands official policy, well let them. Be more honest than what they are doing now. Might be too big a chunk of reality for their American backers to swallow tho. Thing is, Israel is caught in a bind. If they annex the Palestinian lands, but don't ethnically cleanse the Palestinians, they will have a huge minority, that by demographics will become a majority, as enemies within their midst. Israel will become the New South Africa - well, some people think they already are. Ethnic cleansing will sure kick the crap out of the eternal claim to victim hood by Jews. IMO, Isreal is much better off retreating behind pre '67 boundraries, let the Palestinians have their shitty little bit of land and have Israel come out being the good guys. Any attacks by Palestinians would then be state to state attacks, with the Israeli army able to kick ass and militarily occupy the land to restore peace, with the full backing of any right thinking nation. It would be a lot better than any alternative I can see. Israel should hire me as their PR advisor.
  24. NIce. Wonder how many people there are in the same boat in the US because they lack coverage? G http://www.scientifi...than-2009-09-17 http://www.nejm.org/...56/NEJMsa002887 http://www.ncbi.nlm....les/PMC1071459/
