No, that was a daily update with people shaking in the boots! This seems just a tad too silent.. Or dead... I'm ok with an investigation, I'm just wondering why it seems to have died! Everywhere!

I'm just left wondering why "elections Canada" hasn't said anything as of late.. Could it be that there is no cause for an investigation? Sure would be nice to have transparency.. Seems like its a dead case? Sure would like to see if the "smoke" was the root of any "fire"? Or... Maybe there was no substance to this....

Little danger in a housing bubble? Why do you think these measures were put in place? Say you grabbed that mortgage at 2.1 percent interest and in 10 years, interest hit 6 percent... Like it was in 2004... Would you sell? This is a cautious approach to mellowing a "possible" bubble. Instead of a crash (with thousands or hundreds of thousands dumping homes), it would be a small population who over extended. The only people who object to this measure are the people who ARE over-extended and love seeing their 600K purchased house sit close to 900K... Those folks better watch out.. Good for the Tories in watching out for MY ass and not the "Mulcairs" (11 mortgages) of this world...

Government job cuts make NO economic sense
Fletch 27 replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Mkaes perfect financial sense.. Why support or continue to support the bloated public sector when the pritave sector and employees are facing tighter and tigher restrictions? Cut the fat! -
http://www.thestar.com/business/mortgages/article/1214776--flaherty-set-to-announce-tighter-mortgage-rules?bn=1 Or is this simply tightening the rules to make it harder to buy a home you cant afford? In clever steps to avoid a US style housing collapse, the Max amottization period wil be reduced from 30 years to 25, and also loowering the amount you can re-finance from 85% to 80%. Another example of the Tories backing the People of Canada and giving the cold shoulder to the nasty banks! Again, great steps... I dont think anyone can argue about these points..

Government job cuts make NO economic sense
Fletch 27 replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Pretty easy to tell how.. Its called trimming waste... By your "methodology",, would it help the economy to hire every un-employed person into a Government position? They have cut thousands of Jobs as you say but oi have YET to see any impact in my Government services! Maybe, Just Maybee, these cuts were warranted? Saving Money? -
This has NOTHING to do with Greek banks... Not in the least... This is about lazy people living large for 25 years. The chickens came home to roost... There was NO tie to credit my dear... Its all about the greeks living off of a dime that wasn't available... In THIS case... Its their own fault. NO banks involved... Do your homework... Maybe be proud for Steve harper lecturing to the un-educated... They need it...

I dunno... I'm sure Obama cooked up his sales pitch.... No results.... In Canada, we have results... When people, especially see results, they like... It's a shame about Obama, I like the guy but the states needs "change" and they expect it was immediately

Ottawa unveils plans to eavesdrop on your conversations

This is about nothing but openness and clarity. Step your foot of to our ground and we will watch and listen tobyou qlk the way off. Good for the Tories for protecting our borders. -

F+ck me? Wow... That's just words.. I'm ok with that (I see how you "roll")... BUT... This change is about transparency AND aCCOUNTABILITY!!!!! My families fafety is worth WAY more than your little word uttered between you and your ... "Spouse"... Would you also like CciS to utter everything to the media like where checkpoints are, hot-bottons, profiles, etc?? Etc?? Transparence and accountability is what Harper is exuding...he is deviating from the norm.. And its great.. You and your "spouce", male or female, can talk naught in the car.. On the eay to the airport... Love, Fletch -
What's the matter??? I commented about my mistake and posted it? Orrr, are you simply against others opinions... Keeping people silent! Is this a leftist forum? If it is, I will be happy to leave... But I thought this was about open and free speech? I'm a big man, I corrected my post... Can you be a big man and listen to others opinions or position??? Ban stick? For shame...... I must be much bigger than you if I can admit my ignorance when it comes to a fucking CTV schedule! Shame.... Go ahead, silence me... It would prove typical and fitting.. Go have your leftist love in.... Jack-Layton rub-n-tugs all around.... Really?

Justin Treudeau! I truly hope he runs for the Libs but is this YET another case of Media bias? He duffed bout comments on paliamentary process but should the CBC prove as a learning ground for his run? I'm ashamed of the complete lack of tranparency from both the Canadian Media and the Liberals on this. Do we alow a tax-payer funded new sourvce to become a pedestal for a single party? Io would also like to see Mulcair! And Harper! Will this happens? Please! Discuss! My correction: this is currently on "Power play"! Not P and P!

I'm SURE yor awar this is not "bugging" or tapping into cell-phones right? Of your having Dialog at the GTAA regarding a bomb... I'm fully in support of this... Its comforting to see the Harper party taking and active role against terrorism... Its ABOUT TIME we took steps in this direction. I do like the anouncemet and the sheer transparency in this. Goood for the Tories in trying to turn terrorism around. -
Will Justin Trudeau Cross the Aisle?
Fletch 27 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In his potinion, would you jump onboard to steer the Titanic to the bottom or would you jump ship to the party who has the Power and the change to grow professionaly under the leadership of sya Harper? I trully think he may just cross the aisle to the Tories! He (and make no mistakes) is well aware of the flash in the pan status of the NDP and how Mulcair handles himself? Justin(time) would not want to associate "hes great fathers" name to that. -

Does that not sound fitting for a Tory? Fiscal prudence? Until this post, I was sure he would jump to the NDP,,, but now I really think he may jump to the Tories! -

Fletch 27 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He's young, he has his "whits" about him. He KNOWS the liberal party is still slipping and recent polls in QC show the NDP losing favor. I would not be surprised at all is he crossed to thr Tories. Put yourself in his shoes.. Try to revive a party that is null and defunct? Jump to a party that may only be in favor in the maritimes? Or jump to a party that has a chance of putting him on the podium? I think the best odds are he crosses to the Tories.. If they would accept that?
