  1. Most people aren’t trained? Concealed Carry permits are issued, depending on the State, either through the State Police or county Sherriff’s department, and again, depending on the State, there’s a prerequisite safety course required.

With that said, in a situation such as this recent school shooting, clearly if “someone” had the ability to “fight back”, the results would have been marginally better than the open slaughter of unarmed staff and students.

So what of your trusty bat?

Most people aren't trained for these situations

  2. Why is that? Why would you assume that staff or students didn’t intervene with the gunman, with say, a baseball bat?

Because most people are not trained to handle firearms during intense life/death situations.

There are many factors at play here. As for staff carrying weapons that is too dangerous. What if the gun was stolen or taken off them?

and then used to shoot someone on school ground?

  3. Angry Birds are here to stay it seems like! The games are very addicting. Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio & Angry Birds Seasons are worth the time playing. I have yet to play Angry Birds Space but I hear it is the best of the series! And the makers want Angry Birds to become what Mario, Hello Kitty became.

Does anyone else like Angry Birds?

An initial run of 52 episodes of cartoons starring the Angry Birds characters will begin in the autumn. Each cartoon will be between two-and-a-half and three minutes.

Dorra told the audience that an Angry Birds film was in development as well but wouldn't be released until 2013 or 2014.

Rovio recently announced plans to bring the Angry Birds characters into the real world too, with a range of childrens' activity parks. The first park, featuring animal spring riders, swings, sandpits and climbing towers, will open in Finland at the end of this month. Similar parks will open in Britain later this year.

Angry Birds has been downloaded more than 700 million times and its biggest market is the US, closely followed by China.
