  1. I couldn't agree more. . Good advice, and just what was done: hence the obvious distinctions between robust medical opinions about HIV and fetal alcohol syndrome...compared to Jenny's vaccine scares.
  2. Especially easy when it's divorced from the posts to which you're ostensibly responding.
  3. I have no dislike whatsoever for most things American. I do indeed have a dislike for things such as terrorism, but this is no way peculiar to the United States, and I'm not sure how it's relevant to this particular topic.
  4. The current agreement is for six months. Let's see how much scary nuclear devastation they visit upon the Earth in that period. Such a miracle would only prove that Allah is real, rather than the cold, austere fantasy I have always assumed.
  5. WMD development is not on the table, so it's a moot point.
  6. Presumably CSEC helped..... http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/11/27/canada_knew_us_spying_on_g20_cbc_report.html
  7. Mr. Canada has had a "lasting impact" as well.
  8. I'm glad to hear it. I've gotten a little bit tired of the superhero movies lately....but I liked the first Thor quite a bit, better than most of the rest.
  9. Those advocating for such things are concerned exactly with issues of responsibility. Not so much the "vaccines make your children retarded" school of "thought." Thanks for the more-than-usually tepid attempt, though.....
  10. Under the current diplomatic agreement, Iran will have to be able to do this within six months...and under the eyes of independent inspectors. In other words....not.
  11. I'm afraid that I don't think he's trying to have a genuine discussion. Vote Trudeau.
  12. I don't understand the comparison.
  13. Yep. I argued with the investigators about the word "assassinate," then sideswiped them with a rejoinder that I said "assassinate," not "assassinated," and then sagely pointed out that they (and their ilk) had a long habit of misrepresenting me.
  14. Well, I couldn't say whether he caved to anybody or not....people can speculate to their hearts' desires, of course. I was only responding to objectively false assertions in a previous post.
  15. Well, I concede fully that I am assuming....and if I'm proven wrong, then it's my bad. I was only wondering if industrial blight, and all the terrible problems endemic to the energy industries generally, are truly an issue for you, but which you've never once mentioned....or if it's only when the sinister "enviros" are somehow involved.
  16. 1. Obama is not "handing Iran billions of dollars." 2. The "giving" of "nuclear rights" is only (or arguably less) than what Iran is entitled to under the treaty to which it is a signatory. 3. Only a portion of the sanctions are being lifted, as you well know. Unfortunately, "treason" is an actual word with a real meaning. So that hurts your argument somewhat.
  17. Yeah, pretty damn close. Anyone who knowingly has an effect on other people's opinions in the realm of health and medicine should take a cold hard look at issues of responsibility.
  18. Some people might see that as empty platitude...but I suspect you're right.
  19. I don't quite see why you think the Liberals in general, and Trudeau in particular, are such great shakes. I really don't get it. In recent years, I have generally voted NDP (though I voted Conservative in the last Provincial election); but I don't harbor, I hope, too many illusions about the parties....and less so about specific leaders.
  20. Then we agree. Whether I like it or not has nothing to do with its lack of seriousness.
  21. The OP is misleading, and intentionally so....we know for a fact that industrial blight is not in any way at issue.....so whatever genuine concerns there are about windpower (and I don't deny the concerns for one second)...we know that this topic is not a serious one.
  22. I agree with you. I would posit however that there is no straight line, and authoritarianism in democratic societies has increased and decreased continually since inception. Of course, the decreases tend to be the result of popular will, even popular struggle...not least by citizens such as yourself who are more than willing to point it out.
  23. Well, hopefully domestic spying--which only proves how important we are to the government, when you think about it!--is a strong first step in curtailing the baleful influence of the Left.
