Against the dicatorial and vicious Nazi regime, inherently better-armed than civilians conceivably could be?
Sure...their chances would have risen from less than zero to zero.
Not that you have done so...but....you just know it.
No, Bill, the majority of Caledonians, like the majority of people everywhere, have never read nor heard of Christie Blatchford, or Heather Mallick, or any other political pundit and polemicist.
You said (twice, to my knowledge) that you support the police "bending the rules"--this is a direct euphemism for breaking the law. (If it isn't, then what constitutes "bending the rules" that isn't breaking the law?)
Hey, now, that's not too friendly eh?; also, it's unwise to criticize someone on the subject of reading even as you set about butchering style and grammar.
Lefties, like righties, and for that matter the self-described centrists, tend overwhelmingly to believe in mixed economies.
The blanket generalizations you're using remind of the Protestants vs. the Catholics, or the Sunnis vs the Shias. Degree is everything.
I might (might) give Floyd a slight pass....because they're Floyd.
But generally speaking, the long song reaches its point of diminishing returns somewhere after six minutes. (I use that time-limit so that "Sympathy for the Devil" remains a beautiful classic. )
"Men should be men!" and "why don't y'all support the troops?" are cherished sops to political correctness, WB.
PC moves in more than just a leftish direction.
Man, everything is "Orwellian" to the conspiracy-mongers!
Yeah, I'd heard some of this, but you've put it very well.
Indeed. In fact, my understanding is that Germany was not even the most anti-semitic nation in Europe, so no doubt there was a lot of support and collaboration (quiet or otherwise) from European neighbours.
Only sucks if, when it was occurring (and it was occurring big-time, as you are doubtless aware), the Nfld Government was made up of those job-chasin' Ndpers.
Since that wasn't the case, my point remains exactly correct.
Similarly, I'd hazard a guess that those fleeing dismal job-prospects in NB for richer pastures haven't been impoverished by the New Brunswick NDP.
But rather by the rotating Liberal/PC axis.
Why must you try to undermine your own arguments by assiduously defending the arguments of a poster who explicitly condones police lawbreaking (according to the entrapment piece you cited)?
After all, you're deriding other posters here for what you assess as defending lawbreakers....why not the authoritarian who defends lawbreaking by the authorities?
(Not really a fair question, since lawbreaking by the authorities is actually worse than "protesters sitting down when ordered to move"; at least by sober and rational standards.
Makes sense. It's not as if NB is crucial to the very founding of the country itself, or anything......
It would appear that ignorance breeds...Canadians!
