  1. And yet, you appear thoroughly incapable of countering arguments put up by others. Is it that you're only used to talking to those who already agree with you? Oh I'm sorry, was that an "argument"? I didn't recognize it assuch. What, exactly, is it arguing in the context of humans causing Global Warming? Anything?
  2. Over $85,000 for a poll to find out if Canadians supported their five priorities just weeks after winning the election....paid for with taxpayer money. THAT is corruption.
  3. Bring on all your links that support water vapor being the cause of the unwanted global warming we're experiencing. I need a laugh, and that should do just fine. My question is this: The people who swallow the Global Warming denial lobby B#LLSH#T....are they doing it willfully or are they truely stupid? I can't be bothered wasting my time pointing things out that even those who support Kyoto know, but you're unwilling to accept because you refuse to educate yourself. I figured as much. I'm fully educated on the subject, thankyou. I've followed the money and I've followed the b#llsh#t, such as this water vapor red herring, before. You would be a good candidate for answering my question above, btw.
  4. Attempts by CPC shills to dismiss any commentary as "Harper-hating" and "bashing" are just getting more and more pathetic. It's sad when you get so defensive that you dismiss anything remotely resembling criticism (and even that which isn't criticism at all) as bashing. It looks like you're being overly defensive and, if so, why? Good points, and good question.
  5. The last Decima poll is not discussed in the news item linked. The fact (if it's the case...I take your word for it) that they aren't down in Quebec from the last Decima poll is not part of the story. They are 5 points down from election night, that is part of the story. And your complaint that "objectively the loss of NDP support was a much bigger part of that poll" does not take into account that the Conservatives are the current government, thus a loss in the polls for them is objectively the most significant portion of the story. Your complaints of "bashing" by people presenting the facts are eroding what remains of your credibility....and there's not much left so perhaps you should be a little more careful from here on.

  7. The CBC chose to apologize for the impression it left with the report. Are you saying that the CBC has a paranoid suspicion of itself? Kind of like saying "Sorry if you're too stupid to see what we were talking about". And after reviewing the tape and the complaint and the so-called "apology" it's apparent this was a bunch of BS cooked up by CPC shills. Here's what was said by Diana Swain: What she left out was that it appeared as if the Prime Minister was responding to that particular protester TO PARTISAN IDIOTS. To the rest of the world it just appeared like he was stating he wouldn't be swayed by protesters in general. The complaint is so bizarre it had to have come straight out of CPC shill land.
  8. Good grief, a 25 post circle jerk. The subject of Global Warming really lites a fire under the ignorant...gets 'em hopping. Water vapor? Water vapor is responsible for Global Warming? Yeah, and Bush paid Bin Laden to blow up the twin towers. Ho-K!
  9. http://www.canada.com/topics/news/national...a1d&k=45318 Good news. Cue all the tired old opinions that Kyoto is useless. It's so interesting to hear that one....for the thousandth time. If reports about the Conservative environmental plan are true they are out of step with a huge majority of Canadians on this issue. They should have had more than 70 odd people in their focus group!!
  10. Where did you stumble upon this bit of news? I don't think you got it quite right.
  11. You are correct. I don't like people who attempt to downplay important issues like global warming and who shut out the press with a cynical and crybabyish claim that the press is his enemy. But the press IS his enemy. And they have made that quite clear. Uh huh. And Bush orchastrated 9/11 and Global Warming is a socialist plot.
  12. Apparently you haven't read the story. After you've read it, if you wish to rephrase your question so it makes sense I'll be happy to answer.
  13. The news story said that the "government" paid for it. That usually means with government money...our money. If it were not the case, do you not think Hapers minions would be screaming about it? http://www.canada.com/topics/news/national...421&k=64810
  14. A tiny minority made up of oil company shills and the very naive. Are you saying there haven't been Ice Ages and Interglacial Periods in the past? Gah. Wow! You're a genious! You should get on the phone to the American Association for the Advancement of Science RIGHT NOW! Your observation could break this whole thing open!!
  15. Like a good troll.
  16. I've defamed Stephen Harper and I break the rules of the forum? I spout hatred? Really? Can you back that up at all? That is his routine, accuse people of breaking rules and spouting hatred. Did you see me break the rules? I "cross-posted".
  17. Yet another rule broken by gerry. You already started a thread on the polling and this is at least the third thread you have posted the same information on. Good work! Cross posting my a$$. Stop wasting everyone's time with your nonsensical complaining.
  18. Global warming isn't happening, you think? Or is it happening but we're not causing it. I'm interested to know which of these wacko POV's you adhere to.
  19. Well... He's conducting focus groups on the environment to find out what he needs to say and do on the issue from a purely electoral perspective. That alone earns him an "F".
  20. I don't care what you think, understand? Stop polluting the forum, take your complaints to the admin. edit: Harper is a bad PM thus far. He is dishonest and divisive. His policy in many things is following lockstep with Bush, and given that they share the same Frank Luntz advice it's not surprising. Assuch, I am free to be critical of Harper to my hearts content. I care not at all that you find it "disrespectful" to Steve, because it's respectful to our great Country. If Harper starts acting like a PM...if he treats issues like global warming with full honesty and engages the press openly THEN I will start to respect him. Until then he gets what he deserves. The partisanship that you accuse me of is what you have fallen victim to, ironically.
  21. What was he asking the public? Do you think he was asking them what needs to be done? Don't think so. The polling was to find out if it's an issue they need to pay attention to and how much attention they need to pay to it, bet on it. It's truely pathetic. edit: in fact, according to the news on this Conservative polling, it's been identified as a "wedge" issue to them. http://www.hamiltonspectator.com/NASApp/cs...l=1112101662670 Low and behold, instead of Kyoto the government is coming up with a "made in Canada" plan: "The government has said it is developing a made-in-Canada plan, with a focus on a new clean-air act to fight smog." Fight smog? That's great, but it's not a replacement plan for global warming.
  22. Uh huh, right. I personally can't wait to see Harpers plan. From the previews it's been getting it sounds like it will take the rug out from under him. Canadians aren't stupid, they will recognize a lack of action on important issues even if it's dressed up in good-sounding language. If in fact Harpers plan DOES take some real action on global warming I will give due praise.
  23. That is your opinion. The CBC is under constant attack from the rightwing mostly due to the fact that it's paid for (mostly) by taxpayers. I listen to the CBC news every morning and I hear no bias. It's the straight news. Every day during the sponsorship scandal the CBC gave me all the developments and opposition accusations. Where you crying "bias!" then? The accusation that the CBC opposes a Conservative government because it fears for it's funding is ludicrous and unfounded.
