  1. I wouldn't call possible electoral fraud a "good one" result.
  2. It could have the same impact as ad scam, we'll know in time, but if you think Canadians are taking this lightly you are sorely mistaken
  3. All I can go on are the other instances of dirty election tactics committed by the CPC The in & out scandal where they were deemed guilty but only had to pay a 25,000 dollar fine They have ministers, senators, ordinary mp's who've been found guilty by elections Canada for multiple wrong doings They admitted publicly.. Irwin Cotlers riding by calling his constituents and telling them he is resigning They monitored who was all going to their campaigns and even kicked a few liberal supporters out who were just there to listen to Harper Did I miss any? When a spokesperson for the CPC says they run fair, election campaigns how can anyone believe that? So that is how I think the CPC knew this was happening
  4. yeah, I do, but 28 riding's 1 guy? using HIS money? bullsh!t what about the the two different women talking? French and English? you can't just pick 1 fall guy and then its case closed The only reason they picked Michael Sona is because he was the one that tried stealing the ballot box so university students couldn't vote early..they figured he'd done something dirty before so why not him I doubt we'll ever know what really happened just like with Ad Scam ..but I do think this will come into play next election
  5. To be fair Chretien & Martin were both officially investigated and both looked clean...now, that probably isn't reality, they probably were insulated from whatever was going on but in my mind they knew what was happening
  6. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2012/02/24/nl-simms-emails-224.html “All I’m asking for is Peter MacKay to come to Gander and spend a full day doing what I did to understand what search and rescue is all about,” said Simms, the MP for Bonavista-Gander-Grand Falls-Windsor. "The invitation for me to go on this Cormorant was extended by his office. Now all of the sudden it has become a bad thing.” rofl, Simms was asked to attend a search and rescue by MacKays office, he went...then MacKay criticizes him for it and asks the military to find information on it God damn that is embarrassing You can't make this stuff up people, the conservatives have gone fully retarded
  7. Did Harper condemn or punish the conservatives when they admitted to calling people in Cotlers riding and telling them that he is resigning? He didn't say anything. What kind of leader says nothing when his party is responsible for something like that? That is why I think Harper is full of crap I have no doubt in my mind that the CPC upper tier management knew this was going on when it was going on
  8. Nope, there could have been a shipwreck, a plane crash into the ocean during the time MacKay was being lifted to the airport, split seconds can be the difference between life and death
  9. I'm sure people on the east coast care more about MacKay taking a rescue chopper for his own pleasure ride to the airport, I don't see why you would care about that because you wouldn't have been affected
  10. Well, until Harper calls for a public inquiry he is guilty in my eyes, he needs to grow a set like Chretien & Martin did even if the risk is losing his government.. his rhetoric doesn't to me sound like he really cares if anything happens
  11. Other than a possible attempt to cover things up, I still don't see anything done wrong here. You don't see anything done wrong ...what did I misread?
  12. It's so annoying when conservatives bring up Ad Scam, hasn't that excuse expired already? The Liberals haven't been government for 6 years and are the 3rd party without a leader
  13. Once you get military officials in on the cover up and counter attack that is more than a possible attempt MacKay lied, got caught, now we find out he had the military help him with his counter attack and there is nothing done wrong here? HOLY #%&$
  14. hey I'm all for that!! come on harper, share the wealth you oil tanker
  15. hey that isn't my fault, you seem to only ever criticize the opposition and then whine when people criticize the conservatives
  16. Can't argue with that, the Liberals were experts at scandals and hiding them ..but that might be because they didn't have to deal with the access to information act..now all you have to do is fill out some paperwork and you get emails lol
  17. I'm not a supporter of the liberals or ndp , but I know you're a conservative supporter A conservative could kill an opposition member and you'd stick up for him/her
  18. If ANY politician lies and gets caught and doesn't even apologize he deserves to lose his job MacKay is a puny asswipe who lied, tried to cover up his lie, lied some more, got caught lying again, and is still denying that he did anything wrong this is pretty much the conservative governments behaviour
  19. Typical conservative you are Bambino, once your party gets caught with its pants down you're like "Well all politicians lie so its okay" yeah they all lie but the conservatives are the government and they got caught nothing you say is going to make it okay it would be nice if you criticized your government once in a while when they get caught but im afraid you're too far gone for that
  20. Oops, I'm sorry, I just looked at the new thread area and didn't see it.. I find adding on to old threads with new "information" does not get everyones attention like it would if the thread was new
  21. Only an idiot would think only 1 person was involved, this has affected 28 riding's that I know of from last night..maybe there is more but 1 person did not do this, this was calculated and there would have to have been a lot of money used...like campaign money, yeah, this goes far beyond a rogue campaign worker
  22. This is from April 20th 2011...and anyone who says it was the NDP needs to re think, its the conservatives who were desperate for the win, as if the NDP would use american firms http://www.orleansstar.ca/News/Politics/2011-04-20/article-2442009/-Con-artists-target-Liberal-campaign-in-Ottawa-Orleans-/1 Bertschi says voters have been receiving calls from telemarketers in the U.S. claiming to speak on behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and urging voters not to vote for the Liberal candidate. “These callers not only claim to be from the Liberal Party of Canada, but they also ask offensive questions and make rude statements,” said Bertschi. “This agency is not from the Liberal Party or my campaign, it is not contracted by the Liberal Party or my campaign, and does not represent me or my campaign. “They are childish imitators trying to stop residents from voting for me and the Liberal Party.” He went on to say the caller ID displays a number from Montana with the area code 701. Calls fielded from Bertschi’s campaign office carry his name on the caller ID with the local area code 613. "Earlier today, lawyers for my campaign lodged an official complaint with Elections Canada about rude and harassing phone calls constituents have been receiving from an agency claiming to be the Liberal Party,” Bertschi said April 19.
  23. This shows plain and simple how the conservatives counter attack machine works, not that it was any surprise though, now MacKay looks like a real asshole http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/1136045--military-did-damage-control-in-wake-of-peter-mackay-s-helicopter-flight?bn=1 OTTAWA—Military personnel were asked to dig up dirt on an opposition MP in the wake of revelations Defence Minister Peter MacKay was picked up in a search-and-rescue helicopter from a 2010 fishing trip, defence department records show. It first emerged in a television report on Sept. 21, 2011, that MacKay’s office ordered a Cormorant helicopter to pick him up from a private lodge on the Gander River in Newfoundland at an estimated cost of $16,000. His destination was the Gander airport, where a Challenger jet was waiting to take him to a government announcement in London, Ont. The morning of Sept. 22, Royal Canadian Air Force staff — including an officer posted in MacKay’s office — were digging through flight logs to find instances where opposition party MPs took rides aboard military aircraft, according to emails obtained by the Toronto Star. The search fixated on Liberal MP Scott Simms (Bonavista–Gander–Grand Falls–Windsor), whose riding includes the 9 Wing Gander air force base and who was critical of MacKay in the initial CTV report. By noon that day, the air force officials had found what appeared to be information that might take the edge of Simms’ criticisms. “Found it. Jan. 17, 2011, he (Simms) flew with the Standby crew for almost the whole day,” wrote Maj. Byron Johnson in an email to Royal Canadian Air Force headquarters in Ottawa. “Fax is on the way.” That email was sent to a number of individuals in Ottawa, including Maj. James Hawthorne, the military assistant to the Minister of National Defence. Hawthorne then demanded to know who invited Simms on the ride-along, where he flew with the Gander-based search-and-rescue crew, and if he paid any money to reimburse the military for the flight. Another senior air force official, Maj. Jay Nelles, thanked staff in Newfoundland for retrieving the information so quickly, noting that the urgent request for information gave them “a taste of life in Ottawa!!” Simms said the emails, which he reviewed Thursday, show the Conservative “counter-attack machine” in action. Instead of ministers holding themselves to a higher standard, they attack other politicians’ credibility, he said. “Obviously the minister’s office was looking for something they could peg on me.” The Liberal MP said his tour involved an 8 a.m. briefing and two helicopter rides, totalling more than five hours in the air. In the morning he witnessed two search-and-rescue technicians perform a land search. Later in the day, he flew along as they performed a mock marine rescue. Simms said he gained an appreciation for how much preparatory work goes into planning a mission. It turned out that MacKay’s office had directed the search-and-rescue crews to take on Simms as their guest in response to concerns he had raised about response times to distress calls. But under questioning in the House of Commons the day after news about MacKay’s 2010 helicopter ride, the minister used the information uncovered by air force personnel to justify his own controversial trip. He maintained that his 30-minute ride from the fishing lodge to the Gander airport was in fact a long-delayed search-and-rescue demonstration. He also noted that a number of other MPs, including NDP MPs Jack Harris and Christine Moore, had also taken Cormorant flights to learn about search-and-rescue operations. The Star reported last December that MacKay’s office spent four days arranging the flight out of the fishing lodge and could instead have taken a 90-minute boat ride followed by a 30-minute drive to reach the Gander airport. Military officials warned in those documents about the “potential for negative press” but ultimately carried out their mission “under the guise of” search-and-rescue training. “If Peter MacKay had left the fishing camp that morning. . . and did exercises like I did I wouldn’t have said a word,” Simms said Thursday. A spokesman for MacKay said in a statement that finding out information about Simms’ Cormorant flight was “relevant” because the debate in the Commons was focused on parliamentarians use of military aircraft. The new batch of records obtained by the Star show MacKay also took part in a July 2009 flight aboard a Cormorant helicopter that the military says was designed to familiarize MacKay with its search-and-rescue capabilities. Accompanying the minister on that flight were Laura McIntyre, a defence department communications adviser, and Herb Davis, a failed Tory candidate in the 2008 federal election who was working at the time as MacKay’s director of Newfoundland and Labrador affairs.
