The Rules and Guidelines sez: Obviously, some have to be led to the water dish and given a step-by-step lesson in how to recognize the water....and how to drink the water. The argument is about Dawkins' repeated refusal to face William Craig, citing hypocritical excuses. The latest pressure being applied to Dawkins to defend his position (his book, The God Delusion) came from a fellow-atheist Philosopher! By the looks of it, even Sam Harris is applying some pressure by describing Lane as the "apologist who put the fear of God into his colleagues," which I presume he meant Dawkins and Grayling. They even made a mocking video of Dawkins' fear! Talk about incredible pressure. Push comes to shoev, Dawkins cannot deliver! Everybody is saying Dawkins is chicken! Furthermore, this also supports my assertion that Dawkins - one of the founders of the Church of the Non-Believers - is all just hot air, with no substance! For those of you who disagree with this assessment, defend your Pope Dawkins! If you can't, you can't! And by the looks of this, you surely can't....otherwise you wouldn't be wasting time doing your choir whine -a displaced whining at that, about cut-and-paste - in a topic that gives you a large flashing sign of surely loads of cut-and-paste! Will you read the title of this post. Here, let me do the font-thingy too! It sez: VIDEO DEBATES AND INTERVIEWS What do you think the title means when it sez "video debates?" That Mapleleaf will make a video of us debating one another? What do you think the title means when it sez "interviews?" That we'll get Pope Dawkins to come here for an interview? If you guys hate cut-and-paste so much.....you surely picked on the wrong topic to visit!

Uhhh...."it's been done," what exactly?

FACT: NO ARCHEOLOGICAL DISCOVERY HAS CONTRADICTED A BIBLICAL REFERENCE! βIt may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a Biblical reference. Scores of archaeological findings have been made which confirm in clear outline or exact detail historical statements in the Bible. And, by the same token, proper evaluation of Biblical descriptions has often led to amazing discoveries.β- Nelson Glueck http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nelson_Glueck Read more: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,875453,00.html#ixzz1PkXMax38 Note: the url is not working. Well here's my answer. So what! Even if it's been re-written thousands of time, all these facts - and still counting - are all scientifically-proven true! That's the point. And that recap address MDancer's request: As for the verses and/or substantiation(s) and/or argument(s), you'll have to go back and read the posting of each fact. They are individually addressed. Don't skip! A logical debater doesn't just jump in the middle of a skirmish with nothing but his pants on! No wonder you seem patchy!
-
Here is what my article said about that: Well your source indicate a conflict about this cave lion! Considering the numbers of scientifically-proven facts in the Bible compared to the theory of macro-evolution.....and, as evidenced by all the side-stepping and unsubstantiated claims by some atheist posters here, I'd say it's your side that shows patchy views and commentaries. It's no surprise! That's what you get when you close your eyes to glaring facts you want to ignore. With blinking eyes that go twinkle-twinkle-little-stars.... .....You get patchy! Then it's your knowledge of Genesis that's questionable. So what!

The viral Youtube video... William Craig, Richard Dawkins and the Empty Chair http://www.examiner.com/apologetics-in-san-francisco/san-francisco-atheists-interested-to-see-dawkins-debate-craig
-
http://www.bethinking.org/resources.php?ID=866 I guess Sam Harris' description of Craig is correct. Craig seems to have put the fear of God into Dawkins and Grayling.

Excerpt of the email sent by Daniel Came to Richard Dawkins. http://www.premiercommunity.org.uk/group/unbelievable/forum/topics/full-text-of-dr-daniel-cames Richard Dawkins replied to this email. The exchanges between these two atheists can be read through the link provided.

Dawkins wrote The God Delusion. The debate's supposed to be about the existence of God. Surely he can stand by and defend his own view?
-
Oh boy! The pressure is certainly mounting! They're now calling him chicken! Dawkins continues to duckβ¦.afraid to face William Craig! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/8511931/Richard-Dawkins-accused-of-cowardice-for-refusing-to-debate-existence-of-God.html http://www.premiercommunity.org.uk/group/unbelievable/forum/topics/full-text-of-dr-daniel-cames

Panic? For standing firmly behind my posts? If there's anyone here who's showing massive cracks in their defense of their own faith and shell-shocked panic....you need only to check out where all the hyperventillating is coming from! Where all the oddly sensitivity to trivial matters come from - including contiuous whinings about fonts and bwa-ha-has! Oddly askewed replies desperately tries to use GUILT as a weapon, by repetitively insisting someone is sinning for mis-interpreting etc..., What a pathetic ploy - looks like you're running out of ammunition! Cybercoma prefers the comfort of being in denial - choosing to stay "lost!" Others find the comfort of huddling with the pack, of being obtuse and blind - whatI don't see must not exist syndrome! Then Mr Dancer decided to simply hunker down and ignore all the facts listed! I understand that these simple statement of the simply obvious on my part is like a war-zone for those with belief of a non-god! Grenades exploding left and right and in your midst! Your reactions are manifestations of present-traumatic-syndrome in the "battlefield!"

Yes, your questions are all petty when you deliberately ignore and refuse to consider all these facts that's been listed so far....and counting! You cannot deny that some Biblical declarations were proven scientifically correct! Thousands of years after they were written. Even if there are only 5 factual declarations from it, it still trumps modern-day evolutionists who so far have not even produce one single irrefutable evidence of macro-evolution/origin. All evolutionists could do is scramble to come up with one theory after another to try to fill in the blanks! Furthermore, they've set parameters and wouldn't venture out of their box. Since they refuse to look beyond the natural.....they try to come up with anything to fit within the natural boundaries. Even when they're stumped! Even when they keep pulling their hairs over puzzles they cannot even fathom! NOT A SINGLE IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE from evolutionists.....and yet you throw petty questions to the Bible in your desperate effort to de-bunk it! Granted both sides had their share of frauds/fabrications. The questions that should be answered: which one managed to deliver some answers? Which one has gotten some things right? Which one has delivered some goods so far? You should be throwing critical questions on those theories and on those evolutionists instead! After all they're supposed to be in the business of fact-finding! Look at it this way: 2 seers predicting future events. Seer A has gotten several events come true. Seer B is making all sorts of excuses why his prediction is not coming out right. And you question Seer A for quackery???
-
Who? Scientists? Anyway, those are petty when you consider the numerous Biblical declarations that's been proven true by science! Irrefutable. Whereas up to now, all the different - and continuously shifting/varying - angles of macro-evolution are all being refuted, if not laughed at! By other scientists. Not to mention all the frauds, hoaxes and fabrications perpetrated in a zealous effort to prop it. If there is anything or anyone to be grilled....it ought to be these scientists and their theories!

From the Creationists: http://www.ukapologetics.net/10/kangaroos.htm From a scientific - non-religious - point of view: http://www.washington.edu/burkemuseum/geo_history_wa/Dance%20of%20the%20Giant%20Continents.htm However, the scientific fact - one land mass, one ocean - also supports the Biblical declaration in Genesis.

It can be said by non-beliveres that everything written in the Bible are the results of mushrooms. For the numbers of facts now proven scientifically, at least it'll be beneficial to know what mushrooms they were eating those days.
-
To each his own. At least you see the logic in a Created universe!

The death of Elvis has been proven! The moon is not made of Swiss Cheese, that's been proven! Proven by s c i e n c e! With your reasoning, you're also saying the earth is flat....that possibility is not dead? You're still questioning all the things that science had already irrefutably proven? You're too hard to convince. Emphasis on the word IRREFUTABLY, meaning it's well accepted by everybody! Nothing to refute or prove it wrong! Well, the theory that dinosaurs and humans did not co-exist is still being actively refuted by some who are also in the science field! There's accusations of falsifications and miscalculations from BOTH sides of the camp! There is no conclusion! Therefore, the possibility is still there - for both!
-
Why am I not surprised about that admission from you? If you learn to keep within the context, and quit from simply cherry-picking, isolating and quoting particular statements, perhaps you won't be so lost. Go back and read how and why viruses was brought up! Sorry, that's all the help I can give you....you've got to do the rest.
-
Yes, I've provided some articles that point to that - men and dinosaurs co-existing. That possibility isn't dead! If I'm not mistaken (perhaps Jbg can clarify if this is true or not), the Jewish Bible (Genesis) has a segment that suggests Behemoths were placed by God in another part of Eden, separated from humans. It seems to suggest that they indeed co-existed. Mind you, if the Paluxy tracks - human and dinosaur footprints - are indeed genuine, and the petroglyphs on rocks depicting the drawings of a dinosaur are genuine, and the artifacts of clay mouldings somewhere in Thailand (?) also depicting the shape of a dinosaur are also genuine, well in that case it is true! Whether it's old earth, or young earth....it doesn't make any difference to me. It does not alter the truth about creation for me.

Well this is one religious wing-nut that doesn't fit the description you provided. I'd like to see who that poster is....I must've missed his/her post. He/she could be my ally - although we'll perhaps settle for wine. Health benefit, you know....clued-in by the Bible! Kindly point me to him/her? Anyways, I myself, respond to you - and the other x-men mentioned as well - for entertainment purposes, only. The names that's been given to you all by moi should attest to that, since those names were derived from your own statements - empirical evidences - that show they - those eprsonal opinions - aren't worth squat, seriousness-wise. This has a satirical ring to it too, you know....since most, if not all x-men mentioned were all vehemently critical (that is an understatement) about the way I use cut-and-paste to back up/substantiate my claims. All waging their own little schemes to stop me from using reputable sources. One even called me a "thief!" Can you believe that? Oh personal attacks were used...which is understandable since it only shows the article about the psychological/personality profile of a lot of atheist men is correct! Check it out in the topic, Video Debates and Interviews! One of the x-men said, with all the air of authority, I don't fully understand scientific methodology (when really unless you're a scientist, who does?)....while another called me a liar too! In a formulaic movie, this is the comic relief part....or the musical interlude. And I'm glad you specifically categorized this as "entertainment," for indeed it is irresponsible to treat the personal opinions, negligently thrown about by the x-men, any other way. If all garbage opinion are deceitfully passed off as facts....there goes the credibility of the whole board! I think, we all have the responsibility to help uphold the Board's standards. We should discourage unsubstantiated claims! Wow, this gives me an idea....will have to plan for it though! And just to be clear, this particular segment was initiated by you. Just like the Wendysaurus segment too. I was just following your lead.

Now that your buddy, Anchor-Man, kinda disappeared from the radar screen....all quiet from the corner of Mesopotamia-Man too....and, Proven-Man must be dozing off..... ...you're trying to entice and lure this guy (don't know what name-of-endearment to give him yet), to join forces with, huh? Well you gotta do what you gotta do. If it'll take a pack (and a 6-pack too) to muster some courage....go for it, Dino-Cuckoo Man!

I was thinking of Darwin. In the long history of humankind (and animal kind too), those who learned to collaborate and improvised most effectively have prevailed. - Charles Darwin Don't you agree with him? Intelligence is having the general mental capability to question and understand, to reason and plan, to form ideas, think abstractly and make decisions, to recognize, acquire information and solve problems, to learn and react accordingly, to modify and adapt. With that being said, having intelligence doesn't necessarily mean no room for mistakes or no errors in judgements. If we self-destruct, it wouldn't be because of intelligence! It could be by sheer folly, error/miscalculation, negligence or by a fluke, or by something else. A plane that crashed didn't mean the pilot did not have any intelligence! The megalodon shark went extinct. Apparently they've gone through 5 major extinctions. Perhaps it's due to intelligence that they managed to bounce back? http://www.sharks.org.za/intelligence.html Nope, I wasn't referring to DOP.

Like what words? Like what real meanings of what? Be specific. Maiden means a young woman, yes I understand that. What has that got to do with the Virgin Mary? Why do you say it's taken out of context? EVERYTHING?

What may seem to be "contradictions" may not be contradictions at all. It may just be lost in translations, or needed indepth study by scholars....or perhaps technology will make them clear. Imagine how it must've been for Moses and others when they re-read what they just wrote. They must've been scratching their heads wondering what was all that about! Never imagining that some of those will make sense thousands of years into the future! One example of perceived contradiction is the account of Jesus' lineage, His grandparents. One Book speaks of Heli, while another speaks of Jacob. Then it turned out Heli comes from His maternal lineage, whereas Jacob from His paternal. For some reasons known only to God, some information in the Bible comes out like riddles. Perhaps it's been "designed" that way that we have to work at it to gain knowledge. It is also clear in the Bible that He has His own "calendar" or time-table which He followed - breaking it only once, for Mary (as far as I understand), when He turned water into wine at a wedding. Perhaps we'll know at the designated time when and what He want us to know.

The message given by Christ in the New Testament is clear. We have to accept the entirety of the Bible. There is no picking-and-choosing allowed, nor are we supposed to change anything from it to suit our own agenda. As to knowing what should be taken literally or figuratively.....it is through reading, contemplating on and understanding the Bible. Understanding comes through the help of the Holy Spirit. That's why we're urged to call and pray for that help. Jesus Christ had laid the terms down. Clearly. If we're to be genuine Christians, we have no choice but to believe, accept and follow everything that Christ had said. There's no going around that....otherwise, we're just fooling ourselves.
