well, wonder how much of this 142,000 in annual job gains is Biden fudging the number?

They also downgraded June and July job numbers, by over 85,000 total, a big miss for the whole summer:

    https://www.cnbc.com/2024/09/06/jobs-report-august-2024.html

“The previous two months saw substantial downward revisions. The BLS cut July’s total by 25,000, while June fell to 118,000, a downward revision of 61,000.”

This is not surprising, and I wonder what people think about the motives behind Russia posting on Reddit and other forums about domestic Canadian issues?

Whether or not you agree with what they say, is it not obvious that this is antinationalist?

I only heard about this through a radio documentary today... Basically a handful of posters reposting fake articles to give the appearance of larger numbers. Those posters are from Russia.

What about Canadian propaganda on Canadian reddit?  Chinese propaganda.  Anti Israel propaganda from several organizations.  Pro American propaganda.  I"m not sure why you would just pick up on Russian, it's a smorgasbord of propaganda all across the internet.  And they do it because it works, too many people simply believe what they read.

Trump is a remarkable character: buffoon, showman.

Without Trump, according to the MSM, Vance is "just a guy - with a beard."

And many women don't like guys with a beard.

According to the US MSM, Trump is beyond the pale.

Trump exists, but according to the MSM, no civilsed person would listen to him.

Russia today is like PBS: pro Obama. But imagine a pro Putin.

    Agreed.

I lived in the Soviet Union, behind the Iron Curtain, so I know how this works.

The US Democrats/MSM are doing as the Soviets under Gorbachov did, even Putin now.

There is an opposition - Trump - but he is wrong. No normal person would vote for him.

And you have to ask yourself,  how was this accomplished?  How did they make it so that everybody just knows that the one party with the dementia patient and the blonde brained sidekick will save the world?  Just how did they do that?

So that most people don’t even notice, most won’t even think to ask themselves.  You can take over the world with that kind of power.

  5. Rumour has it that RFK would get oversight of the CIA when Trump takes the White House in November(Are you triggered yet?).  Which is interesting, since it is the CIA that is suspected of taking part in the assassination of his uncle.  JFK had a very dim view of the CIA, and before his death had spoken about his desire to splinter the CIA into a 1000 pieces and scatter it into the winds.

RFK, who has publicly blamed the CIA for his uncle's death, would probably want to do the same.  None of this is lost on Trump, no doubt.

  6. More alarming news.  The US Labor Department has adjusted its employment numbers.  It turns out they were off by 818,000 jobs.  And these types of stories will go right over the heads of the typical consumers until the economy takes a dump.  Then they will try to respond to a recession, but it will be 6 months too late.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2024/08/21/nonfarm-payroll-growth-revised-down-by-818000-labor-department-says.html

“The U.S. economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than originally reported in the 12-month period through March 2024, the Labor Department reported Wednesday.

As part of its preliminary annual benchmark revisions to the nonfarm payroll numbers, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the actual job growth was nearly 30% less than the initially reported 2.9 million from April 2023 through March of this year.”

Much has happened since you started this thread.  But the most notable item in my opinion is that the US now officially has a lame duck president.

The reason I bring this up is that the world scene and powers that be have become increasingly unstable in the last 2 years.  Will the development of an American instability be enough to embolden the Putins and Irans?  Could we see new escalations?

In my honest opinion, it is inevitable.  The US is content to throw money around and force their will in various international  arguments.

They are hated so much that BRICS was formed to get out from under their thumb, and it’s working.  Open US borders have allowed their enemies to infiltrate their cities and make evil plans.

When Israel gets hit by Iran’s revenge, the US will probably suffer a terrorist event of some kind.  Once that genie is out of its bottle, there will be no turning back.
