  1. I bet these twins are really close, probably wear the same underwear.
  2. You must be due for a banning.
  3. This is the second time i have seen you use the 'ditzy woman' insult, now, call me crazy, wouldn't that be a personal insult and a sexist one to boot? You may want to apologize.
  4. We have this thing called licensing, and if you bother to look at the numbers with a small amount of honesty you would see that it mostly works, it is one of the many reasons why the registry wasn't needed. That is as usual an exaggeration, most often attributed to people who only believe they have a right to self defense, which in Canada is exceedingly difficult to do with the current safe storage laws regardless of what firearms you own. Even if you can access them in time to defend yourself the very threat of using a firearm in self defense, even in your own home against an intruder, can get you in hot water, which is nothing short of ridiculous. Frankly it is attitudes like yours that bring us to such ridiculous situations whereby if you defend your family in your own home you basically need to ask the intruder what type of violence he plans to use against you before you can respond, lest you are too hard on the poor guy.. Granted these situations are rare, but not nonexistent and there are recent examples of exactly what I mention above. Anyway, that's another argument, and of course there are some nutters out there, but the fact remains that legally licensed firearms owners are not in general violent individuals in need of more control, even if they are 'preparing' for a disaster or what not that is likely never to occur. You can't prove otherwise, and no amount of new law will discourage the use of illegal firearms by criminals, you may have noticed, we already have laws against murder, people still do it. Seventy percent of the time with something other than a firearm.
  5. That is little comfort for the victim im sure. If a non native come from a rough home and makes the same mistake is he given the same consideration? I have little doubt that a non native growing up abused or what not doesn't see himself as privileged and isn't able to decide not to be violent simply because his 'ancestors' weren't treated poorly. Personally i don't think either case warrants a light sentence but you can't simply look at natives and say, poor boy, when other people live in similar situations for other reasons. Also, you can say what you like about how they were treated, or how long ago it was, the fact remains that most of us have had ancestors who were at some point very badly treated, and most of their grand children wouldn't expect special treatment as a result.
  6. Is there no limit or aspect of your life that you want controlled? Are by chance a big fan of the society depicted in logans Run?
  7. Which threats?
  8. Sorry, what victim? Has it been proven who the victim(s) are yet? Maybe his MIL hates him and jumped the gun on the 911 call, stranger things have happened, but anyway, it wouldn't surprise me that he is an insufferable ass at home. Btw, if you want to accuse me of blaming any victim please put more effort into it, that was a sad attempt.
  9. I suppose I should have used the words, read, understand, believe, accept, trust, etc. But you got the point, so what are the 'rules' do you deserve some respect above and beyond the tone of your posts? You don't think that NORAD does anything useful, ok, you're wrong, but when you start up the way you did about tracking santa what level of intelligent response did you expect?
  10. Strangely enough, violence can be a two way street, but to suggest that us mere non natives used violence to remove a road block would be unacceptable no doubt.
  11. Well, that's irrelevant. How is the government going to makes knives safer, or fists, or rope, or any of the other 'weapons' used to kill people in about 70 percent of the homicides each year, your goal is to save lives right? How about we consider that before we punish the tiny portion of legal gun owners who commit murders, and yea it is tiny, of all firearms used in murders registered long guns made up about 2 percent. You can be sure that most of the handguns weren't legal, and keeping them out of the hands of those who are overwhelmingly law abiding (statistically more likely than you to be so) isn't going to change that. So you can bleat all you like about this issue, you are wrong on the facts, choose to play the social engineering card if you wish, it is immoral, but that's progressiveness i suppose. A car is only needs to be safer when you hit something you shouldn't have, after which the state may choose to punish you, or you might get sued. You want to presume that someone with a firearm license is a murderer waiting to happen when in fact they are less likely to be violent than you are. There is a difference. Far more people are killed by the outright misuse of a car by a licensed driver than by a licensed firearms owner. I suppose we need gps tracking on all cars with auto shutdowns for speeding and breathalyzer interlocks on every car, some kind of system that detects when you're distracted or tired and reports you, or maybe just a giant impound lot where you will have to check it out when you want to use it. Do you want to save lives or not? So, do we need a central chef knife storage now, more people stabbed to death last year than shot, more violence committed with a knife, most shootings not committed with legal guns..so, which is it, do you want to save lives or play games? O, nvm, i see you over there in the sand box.
  12. Well the money is one thing, what I don't understand is why our national police force relies upon a county police force in the states for training.
  13. I'm no fan of the guy, but who doesn't have a crazy MIL? I'm pretty sure mine would do the same to me for little or no reason, but she's bat shit crazy.
  14. You have a better chance of being struck by lighting that killed with a firearm, so your opinion is basically worthless, you don't listen to reason. If you want to save lives (we know you don't, social engineering isn't about saving lives) what do you suggest we do about the 70 percent of homicides that aren't gun related? It seems people will find a way to kill each other without firearms, as they do right now in greater numbers. As I said before, clearly all murders are committed by people, some with tools, some of those with guns, seeing as licensed firearms owners are safer than the average non gun owner perhaps it's the rest of you that need to be tracked. Better yet, lets have more lightning awareness education, that would prevent more injuries and deaths than caused by licensed gun owners. Are knives next for safe storage? More Canadians are a victim of violent crime with a knife and in recent years more homicides have been committed with a knife, tell us how you plan to prevent that, should i have to check out my knife from safe storage before dinner? Or are those deaths OK because they usually come one at a time? Just give it up already
  15. It doesn't take a huge leap of logic to see that some people aren't doing as well because we sent our jobs to China, and sure, we get cheaper products in return, but our cost of living is still going up.
  16. So do you think if one of the rats did nothing for itself but beg or steal from the others that they would continue to allow it? If i see someone get their car stuck ill offer to push, but if they are always getting stuck it is their behavior that needs modifying, not mine. Stupid thread.
  17. We are all equal, lol, no we aren't. In so far as this forum might be concerned through our anonymity i suppose, but in reality, no, it is silly to even think it.
  18. Pretty much. there is a herd of caribou in labrador that is early extinct the government has tried to stop the local band from hunting them, but they refuse, and even go out of their way to shoot them from snowmobiles just to prove the point. No doubt there are many examples, they are entiteled, reality has no bearing.
  19. You are as likely to be stabbed to death as shot in this country, more likely to be a victim of violence with a knife than a gun, and liscensed gun owners are statistically 3-4 times less likely to be convicted of a a violent crime than non gun owners. Clearly we need to put gun grabbers like eye in storage until they are needed. Liscensed gun owners are just about the safest identifiable group of people in the country. Why do gun grabbers care more about the weapon than the victims? Is it a psychosis? The statistics prove that it is completely irrational, so it must be. But the argument is over, we won.
  20. You clearly have your mind made up. In 2011 the FBI stated that the violent crime rate in the U.S. was at it's lowest in 48 years, in fact the rate for most crimes was falling. So while you have the left wing rhetoric down pat the numbers are saying something a little different, yes of course their rates of crime are still higher than ours, but while some people might consider other factors you seem to think the punishment vs rehab differences as the reason. While then disregarding (or not doing your research) that while higher, their crime rate is falling faster than ours and they have been using a much more punitive model of crime and punishment than we have for quite some time now. Carry on.
  21. I could explain to you in detail what NORAD does everyday, and what it's limitations are and how that relates to 9/11, but I don't think you would listen.
  22. Some peoples bigotry is other peoples truth, throwing out those words every time a discussion like this comes up usually isn't warranted and only serves as a way shutting down debate.
  23. So, you're not as concerned about people being murdered so long as it isn't being done by firearm? I'm sure you know that the number of stabbings is on the rise and recently the number of deaths associated has surpassed shooting deaths. It just isn't logical to look at it that way, and just because knives are a close range weapon doesn't mean that perfectly innocent people aren't stabbed to death. Do you believe that flying is more dangerous than driving simply because when a passenger jet crashes many people are killed all at once even though many more people are killed on our roads, just not all at once? That isn't logical. You want to put all firearms in a central location, do you want to put breathalyzers in every car? More people are killed or hurt by drinking and driving every year than by firearm, how are you going to prevent knifing, or beatings, you can't put our hands in a lock up. How about rope? You know I'm sure that fewer people are shooting themselves while more people are now hanging themselves and the suicide rate hasn't really changed. You are entitled to your beliefs, but at least be honest about them, the facts, and the logic is irrefutable, you for some reason think that a person shot to death is more of a problem than a person stabbed to death. You don't like guns, for whatever reason, just admit it, admit that it is about the gun, that what you are against. Not so much the murders, but how they are committed, that of course makes no sense, but again you can have your own opinions, and they can be, and are, wrong. You want social engineering, it would be nice if you just said so.
  24. ] Im sorry, with all of this news coverage i must have missed the tornado that hit attawapiskat. As others have said, there are plenty of people who live with less than these people and no reasonable expectation that the government will bail them out. Tornadoes not withstanding. Talk about a diversion...these people live in a community with better services than a lot of other small town Canadians and no amount of whining to Bob Rae is going to change it for them, at least for the non natives, that's a fact. It's also a fact that some of you are more than happy to ignore.
  25. That simply isn't true, comments like yours are most often made by people who have never lived or been poor in many of Canada's non native small towns. Also, unless there is some sort of natural disaster the government won't come and help you, or build you a new house just because you wouldn't or couldn't take care of it on your own. Do you think most small towns in the country have their own hospital, or arena, or even school for that matter? No, they don't, and there are lots of small white communities with less opportunity and more poverty then Attawapiskat, just as there are many similarly sized native communities that are doing much better with the same or less. Do you think all non native Canadians everywhere live to exactly the same standards set out by the government? It makes no sense to deny the obvious, and that obviously isn't true.
