  1. Buddy, you think there is any country in the world that would even threaten conventional war, let alone nuclear war, for Canada? Jesus Christ I would kill to have your level of optimism.
  2. I think they realize it, they just don't take it seriously. Americans see Canada the way Canada sees a country like Bahrain. Its just impossible for them to conceive of it as a real threat in any scenario. I would not put it past Trump to start immediately trying to trade with Putin again.
  3. How do people still believe this? Who lifted a finger for Gaza? Who would have lifted a finger for Ukraine if the US had not intervened? Have you not noticed that the world does not tend to do much of anything other than issue condemnation statements via the UN? There is exactly one country aggressive enough to threaten to, and start war on behalf of other countries, and it's the very country you are pretending 'the world' will somehow keep in line. It's utter fantasy.
  4. This is so outlandish. You realize the Americans likely have every possible communication line of Canadian leaders tapped right? Do you think the US would not see such a transaction or the attempted transfer of those nuclear weapons? The moment the US even catches wind of such talks happening alone, they would invade. If they actually see Canada moving a nuke towards the US coast? Dresden.
  5. Even asymmetrical warfare war-gaming is pointless in this scenario. That kind of warfare works if you are operating from very far away, but the US operating on the border, with an entire country as an unsinkable aircraft carrier? With permanent annexation being the goal, rather than temporary occupation? Forget about it. Even the Taliban + the Vietcong wouldn't have been able to succeed under those conditions. At that point migration is the only way out.
  6. finding alternate suppliers and countries to trade with is all well and good, but it doesn't solve the problem. The United States navy could pretty effortlessly blockade Canada and there is very little that could be done to stop this. So self-sufficiency, at least for a mid-term crisis, is an absolute must
  7. I know many in America hope you are right. Any excuse to get to finally deal with the endlessly hyperventilating leftists
  8. If they TRULY think Trump and Elon are Nazis, why would they be dumb enough to do stuff like open political violence to give him an excuse to deploy the national guard and police to deal with them and have his justice department begin locking up political opponents for very long terms? &nbsp This is precisely what he would want
  9. I would say keep the order, and take the safest assumption about what ends up happening. All of this blows over when the market drops too much for Trump to take anymore, he makes some little deal with Canada, celebrates it as some big victory, and we are right back to the status quo. Democrats in the US get congress in two years or so as result of all the chaos, and again, back to the status quo because Trump will be out of office in four years and there is no second Trump on earth. No other US government would be dumb enough to do any of this stuff. It’s an aberration and if we make all decisions based on this moment, we will find ourselves in a worse position down the road when things get back to baseline.
  10. But what would the point of that be? If the US is actually invading, does it make a difference if they disable the jets or just shoot them out of the sky? Let's be logical here...if the US invades, they are going to take the capital almost instantly regardless of what jets are used or disabled. Now you can argue about prolonged occupation vs a guerilla campaign (wouldn't really apply due to the close proximity of the US and annexation as the goal, but I digress. The jets would be the least of the worries
