I'm astounded of your lack of history. In 1979, when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, the country had a total population of 13 million. Despite having less than 6% of the population of the Soviet Union at the time, they managed to eventually drive out the Soviet occupiers from their country. Ukraine had 43 million people when Russia invaded. Russia has just under 160 million, a far cry from the 240 million that they had in the Soviet Union. Both sides are taking a beating, yes. However, you ahve been saying for months that the Ukraine is going to run out of able bodied men, and that is simply not happening. If anything, Russia will be the first to blink, considering that the country is a few months away from being forced to draw middle class young men from more affluent Russian cities like St. Petersberg and Moscow. George W Bush launched a war against Afghanistan in 2001, and Iraq in 2003. These battles were not resolved during his second term. Bill Clinton launched operations in Somalia in 1993, then against Yugoslavia in 1995 and 1999. Richard Nixon was involved in the Vietnam War for every year he was President. He was technically a 2-term president (even though he resigned in disgrace in 1974). I am sure there were others.
