Agreed. You cant fact check someone out of a cult. The red hats political beliefs arent about truth, they are about identity. So if you think that you can show them the facts, and they'll wake up, thats not going to work because you're not challenging their opinion, your challenging who they believe they are, their identity. When confronted with the truth, the red hat brain doesn’t update, it fortifies. So when confronted they double down. Even when the evidence is undeniable.
