  1. Has anyone taken the time to count Biden's lies? If no one has, your contention that Trump is a bigger lier is null. Perhaps the whole Trump/Biden paradigm gets you too emotional.
  2. I was talking about Republican and Democrat corruption. You made it about Trump/Biden. Agreed. And you fail to mention Trump's reluctance to fund NATO, an obsolete institution. It is exactly Trump's hubris and crass demeanor that make him so odious. Biden has senile dementia, nothing much can be expected from him. Democrats are morons for choosing him... Trump is beholden to Israel and AIPAC, he's not strong at all, he does as he's told. Kushner is anything but a rockstar. He's jewisth, his family is friends to Nut&Yahoo and he's simply serving his zionist masters. In addition, by being nominated to a Nobel Peace Price, he's single handedly unveiled how irrelevant that prize really is.
  3. Republicans have carpet-bombed: Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Germany, Vietnam, Kuwait, Iraq, Cambodia, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and those are the ones that come to mind atm – so let’s just say: etc. Corruption: WMD, need I say more? I agree with the Russia collusion nonsense, however, what are the merits of impeaching Clinton for a blowjob? The fact you’re defending nepotism says it all. What are Trump’s kids qualifications to be so thoroughly involved in policymaking? That includes Jared Kushner. TBC, I’m not defending Hunter Biden, he’s a drugged up creep living a great life just because who his daddy is.
  4. Biden is a career politician. if you think he tells the truth very often, only means he's practiced truthiness has hit the spot with you.
  5. Just please! Republicans are as corrupt as Democrats. One could argue that even more so, seeing as they've been in power longer. Rachel Maddow is anything but a journalist, she's into emotional political soap operas... and yes, that vein looks lile it's gona pop up any time!
  6. The only one happy and profiting from this war is the military industrial complex: For arms manufacturers, war is great for business. Even before Russia invaded Ukraine, global military spending was already on an upswing, to the tune of $2 trillion last year. Now, the US and its allies are splashing around a lot of dough to send the Ukrainians weapons to defend themselves against the Russians — to the delight of anyone who owns shares of the companies that make those arms. We take a look at how the stock prices of the world's top defense companies have performed in 2022 so far.
  7. Glad you’re aware of this trend. It’s laughable when people get all worked up talking about sovereignty. What?/Where? All countries are beholden to corporations. What’s happening in Russia (sanctions imposed by private companies), could happen anywhere in the world, the USA included! Unfortunately, people lack the basic understanding that we’re quickly moving towards Corporate Totalitarianism thus they applaud something that could happen to them…
  8. There are two types of world leaders the ones in the global north, (NATO, led by the USA) are doing “nothing” because Ukraine is waging a proxy/hybrid/asymmetrical war on their behalf that serves their geopolitical interests. Global south leaders are doing “nothing” because they have a better understanding of what sanctions, embargos, tariffs and being led down the primrose path is all about and prefer to not interfere. Meanwhile, Zelensky is being praised as a hero for leading his people to the slaughterhouse, have his country destroyed, just to play nice with NATO. Not acknowledging the hypocrisy of what’s going on is prime example how western media works.
  9. They switched because his charisma and braggadocio brings the boys to the yard… that’s political expediency for ya! The biggest concern for the USA should be the evident lack of viable candidates. Imagine being stuck in a Trump/Biden (Kamala) paradigm!? Both men are candidates from the crypt, both suffer from senile dementia, neither represent the American people.
  10. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has revived discussions of the foreign policy significance of the U.S. tech industry. Companies like Apple, Google, Twitter, Amazon, and Meta have either threatened to shut down or have entirely shut down services in Russia. While immediate reactions have celebrated these companies for taking an active role in condemning the invasion and the ensuing humanitarian disasters, there are also some troubling implications when a few tech companies can conspire to shutdown critical digital services for an entire nation. These companies are so powerful that, if they were to cut services within the United States, we would be living in a digital desert. As long as a few companies have this much power, the old question remains: who watches the watchmen? https://americanaffairsjournal.org/2022/04/what-big-techs-response-to-russia-really-tells-us/
  11. If anyone believes Corporations are for anything but profits, I suggest they stop drinking the Kool-Aid. Musk will do whatever’s best for the bottom line and a high ROI. But the rhetoric is solid and what most want to hear. I do like the idea of getting rid of bots, let’s see if he follows through…
  12. Disney’s designation meant that the theme park could make its own decisions on the planning and permitting process for construction on its property, levy taxes to pay for its own fire-and-medical-response services and even generate some of its own electricity. Through that status, the company saved millions of dollars annually in fees and taxes, according to experts. SB 4 dissolves Disney's Reedy Creek Improvement District on June 1, 2023. The district, created by state law in 1967, exempts 38 miles of land Disney owns from most state and local regulations and allows Disney to collect taxes, follow its own building codes and provide emergency services for its six theme parks and resorts. Chapek (Disney’s CEO) responded with an announcement that Disney would stop contributing to political campaigns because of the controversy. The company directly contributed $5 million to Florida candidates in 2020, according to state records – but it is hard to see its total influence in campaigns given the number of corporate entities that are part of the Disney family, the plethora of political action committees and their reporting requirements, and the number of candidates. House sponsor Rep. Randy Fine, R-Brevard, said the special district designation provides an unfair competitive advantage over other tourist attractions. "We provide Disney things that we do not provide to their competitors. And that's fundamentally unfair," said Fine. While Congressman Charlie Crist, a Democratic candidate for governor, said Tuesday at the Capitol minutes after Fine filed the proposal: "What is he thinking? He's going to hurt our economy. He's going to hurt tourism. The notion that he's going after all those jobs, shame on him," said Democrats dismissed the GOP's free-market argument as smoke to conceal a Republicans rush to punish an iconic Florida corporation for its political speech. Also, Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith, D-Orlando piped in saying: “This is unhinged authoritarianism. This is about retribution. They are using the power of government to punish anyone who speaks out against them.” All the commotion has very little to do with the well-being of children and is all about politics as usual.
  13. I agree with DeSantis for not having Florida educators teaching about sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade and for the provision that enables parents to sue if they allege schools or instructors have been in violation. Why would anyone want to discuss sexual orientation or gender identity with a 7yo when there are so many other topics of greater relevance to their development? (The word “gay” isn’t mentioned anywhere in the bill) Disney has been caught up in a wokeness crossfire. I’m against revisionism, just because you erase something, it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Yet Disney began an extensive review of its film library and determined which content included “negative depictions or mistreatment of people or cultures.” This included Ursula, the villainous sea witch from “The Little Mermaid”. Her dark color palette (lavender skin, black legs) could be viewed through a racial lens. Tinker Bell was marked for caution because she is “body conscious” and jealous of Peter Pan’s attention, according to the executives, while Captain Hook could expose Disney to accusations of discrimination or prejudice against individuals with disabilities because he is a villain. (Huh?) When it comes to their parks, they began with the retheming of Splash Mountain to disassociate its connection to slave African folk tales and revamped Pirates of the Caribbean ride by removing a scene depicting pirates selling women in an auction. The ludicrousness of it all reached a peak when they removed the “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” greeting from some of its fireworks shows to be more inclusive. Now, the greeting is "Good evening, dreamers of all ages." Which I like and fail to see the big whoop, yet conservatives denounced it and were against the new greeting.
  14. Agreed. DeSantis hissy fit has actually exposed the charade of how America (as compared to China or Russia) stands for “freedom of speech”…
  15. Should corporations weigh in in public policy? Was the retaliation commensurate with the “offense?”
  16. Of course not! However, how many children suffering from incest/sexual abuse had it done by an older family member? Incest victims don’t speak about the abuse because often times it's the mom or dad that's the abuser. Actually, the most common relationship involved in sexual abuse is father-daughter. Father-daughter incest accounts for 75% of the total of reported cases. Wouldn’t you consider it pedophilia as well?
  17. And I see through narcissits claiming rationality while they're only being obnoxious to cover for their insecurities.
  18. And you've been here for a long time (35.4K comments), seems you think of yourself as the indispensable commentary . Glad to see you're so impressed by yourself! At least you have one fan.
  19. Because I want to. Why the animosity? Insecure on your intellect that you need to put others down to feel good about yourself? Reading and responding to your comments a waste of time and a crime!
  20. The “recent” fascination with pronouns has little to do with inclusiveness or being politically correct and everything with newspeak and further confusing the masses.
  21. It should be considered a crime, because it is! Specially, when there is a significant age gap and it occurs between an elder member of the family and a child; that is not only incest but pedophilia as well.
