  1. Please. I read you and you have good points often but, a movie is a movie and is made according to the directors and writers. There is no basis in history except for the time frame. It is not over my head but clearly, it explains what you post sometimes and where you get your info. Fiction Zeitgeist, is a story, the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes imaginary events and people. Historical fiction the genre of literature, film, etc., comprising narratives that take place in the past and are characterized chiefly by an imaginative reconstruction of historical events and personages. Using a movie to make your point is beneath even you.
  2. Fiction nonetheless. I am being very intelligent and fiction is fiction. That makes your claim even more foolish. You on the other hand are assuming accuracy in what? Your hand picked scenes?? LOL Historical fiction is, by it's own definition, a story told in fiction. A story set in in days gone by. No claim can be made of accuracy. An anachronism at best. Please, you be intelligent LOL I cannot believe that you even try to use a movie as your position. My my my, this is where you completely fail.
  3. Did you even watch your tweet??? He never said that at all. "gotta get vaccinated be it for flu or up to date covid shots" and "encourage everyone to get those" "keep pressure off our front line services" to "reduce the need for other health measures"..
  4. A unsubstantiated claim. Are you actually going to use a fictional movie as your defence of comment?? LOL
  5. Behind a paywall. Could not read. The primary thing with all this is that all of these comments were based on initial, before anything happened plans. As one officer said, they had no tow trucks until EMA enacted and forced the operators to do as they were asked. The OPP said they had 24 tow trucks but they had names but none of them would cooperate. They operators were concerned with their own safety.
  6. The "general idea" of any "spy" or national security agency of any country can be imagined to be anything. It is the thing of novels and movies but that does not mean those movies or novels are correct, let alone accurate. Security agencies are, for good reason, secretive and shrouded. Imagination can take you anywhere.
  7. I called you BS for this " Just this week, again, Trudeau has doubled down on being a terrorist government, threatening lockdowns, restrictions, business closures if 90% of Canadians dont get jabbed every 3-6 months. For the rest of their lives, I presume, since Zero Covid is a scientifically proven extreme belief." He never said anything of what you posted. So, there is my explanation and you are full of BS with your post. And then your retort was "Enjoy your 10 covid jabs." which is also BS, if not BS, it is an uneducated opinion with, in your case equals BS.
  8. ?? Where did you get that? Are you saying using undercover people and sources is not a common and acceptable tactic? How do you know what they know, how they operate and what information is provided to government? You work there or have a spy there or????? Blowing smoke
  9. How can an agency shrouded in secrecy "earn" trust?? You (and I) really have no idea what they know, what they deal with, who they deal with, what they can and cannot make public.
  10. Ha! Called out for your BS (again) and you change subject. Nice try at deflection LOL
  11. BS "asked Bernier whether he thought the federal legislation was necessary to end the Ottawa blockades. The office replied: “Hard for me to say.” “I did not get to do the operation without it ? I don’t know what complications I would have had, had it not been in place and I utilized the common law,”"
  12. The point being made was the difference between extremist and terrorist. It was a valid point and comparison. The speaker, the author the person who responds gets to define... unless you have some other response. I define you as a confused wacko by your incessant propaganda. My definition and is valid.
  13. Well, one before the other I guess. The Canadian economics of it involve them all.
  14. Yes, the fact is, initial reports. The ones presented way before anything happened or anyone showed up. The fact and far more important fact is they were overwhelmed and overcome by far more people than the reports even alluded to. They stayed longer than the initial reports alluded to as well. So, the initial reports were proven wrong and were useless and new plans and estimates had to be written and enacted. You even admit that "any plan only survives until contact with the enemy has been made" and that is, in fact, what happened. The plan failed and new ones had to be composed. Lucas was not the only one that said the initial reports were very wrong, all the police spokesmen so far stated the initial reports were incorrect assumptions. The federal government was not involved in the "initial plans". The initial plans were from OPP, RCMP and Ottawa police. We have to wait for the testimony of officials after the initial contact happened. Some time next week, or the week after I suspect.
  15. I agree and said so. We, liberal and conservatives, have sold ourselves to China and other countries because of our desire for cheaper goods. And it is a lot more than just t shirts. We Canadians have become consumers and not manufacturers. Also, as I said, while you may want to disassociate form Chinese made goods, even your favourite brands are made in China or other cheap labour countries. To top it off, we buy goods from the USA but their point of origin is China. All I am saying is, in reality, we gave ourselves, willingly, to China and other low labour countries. I am afraid you really have little chance of not accepting the situation.
  16. Lets be realistic. It is not a matter of rolling over, it is a matter of looking sideways and seeing reality. China is into our domestic systems and products as well. Buying clothes, even designer ones, are more often than not made in china. Most of the pots pans and dishes are made in china. Almost all your car parts are made in China. Your shrimp cocktail is most likely made with Chinese farm raised shrimp. On top of that, we get many things from the US and they are made in China and just routed through the US. We import almost $50 billion from China every year Chinese owned and controlled businesses here in Canada is huge. So, maybe living with products not made in China may be doable but not affordable.
  17. Go for it dude. Smell reality. Try and get along without products form China. Our governments, conservative and liberal, sold out to China. There is no coming back. This country will b]never have the manufacturing capability to make all the things we want that are presently made in China (or abroad) I object to stupidity that is rhetorical and nonsensical, like your complaints. Object all you want, fact is, we Canadians have out priced ourselves with high wages, taxes and property.
  18. He had no idea what what it was going to be 3 weeks later. He is still speaking of the first weekend,
  19. What I have taken away from the testimony so far is that they completely underestimated the severity and amount of the protesters and crowd. All preliminary reports anticipated a normal protest and for it to last only the weekend. The commission is still questioning about the first weekend and has yet to get to the weeks later on. I am watching (global.ca is streaming it) and find it interesting how unprepared or, underestimated they (the Ottawa police) were.
  20. As one official testified, That they all got it wrong and did not anticipate the amount of people and the protesters. He admitted that they all got it wrong and the plans drawn up as a result of initial reports were useless and the plans from that point on were very fluid. You, as a soldier , must know how this can happen and what occurs when your battle plan is completely out of scope when you arrive on scene.
  21. Really? Or maybe he gets minute by minute and hour by hour reports directly form officers amongst the protesters. In the testimony, he went on to say he told officers not to arrest any people but to take photos and names and will get to charges after the fact. He did not want o put police in a situation where protester may get aggressive if arrests were made on the spot. There was no collusion between protesters and cops, the cops were to observe and report. Like being undercover but being open and in public view.
  22. An inspector with the Ottawa Police Service was worried the 'Freedom Convoy' could turn into a Jan. 6-style attack on Parliament Hill, No such attack ever happened in Ottawa but the inspector told the commission "what materialized exceeded all our expectations" in terms of the size and scope of the protest. He said Tuesday he was shocked by the number of vehicles that rolled into the city at end of January. Lucas says close to 5,000 vehicles tried entering Ottawa on Jan. 29, the first major day of demonstrations, and that many were stopped travelling from Quebec. https://ottawa.citynews.ca/local-news/ottawa-police-inspector-worried-freedom-convoy-could-turn-into-jan-6-attack-6004352?utm_source=SND&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=AutoPilot&fbclid=IwAR2HQNIkqEXgcQHOfymXzTvaAwECgUJLjw0l8hgkpHtO1HnytSLjFUqGNWU
  23. As the Ottawa Police Inspector said today, so much misinformation and disinformation from the convoy protesters. And this video is a perfect example. LOL Canada Admits LOL LOL LOL Vindicated LOL LOL LOL
  24. What are you taking about?? You talk yourself into circles and there is not exit point LOL
