As I have been saying, invoking Justin Trudeau is pointless. He stepped down, he did not run, he is gone. If all the conservatives have is bashing a guy that is long gone only tells me they have no plan forward. Correct, they do not want Trudeaus jokers but, in light of the issue with the US President, Carny had to keep some around that had already fought with him. Their experience was important. Even Trudeau knew that when he had Mulroney help him with the the USMCA. The Canadian public was afraid of PP and his lack of message as opposed to what was to be done. PP lived in the past, dragged up the past constantly and was to late to realize the future was not Trudeau. His party executive was too late to pivot and the people of Canada were fed up with PP's same old same old. As I said "My point is and was, no matter what party is in power, the government does what the public wants. Some like it, some don't, that is the division of political beliefs."

Everybody else in Canada figured out PP and the conservatives were still LOSERS, after 10 years of dubious liberal leadership, they conservatives and PP could still not win the election LOL Carney was tactical and still is and will get the right deal for Canada. Correct, hence my comment hat some on this forum use conjecture. They have no basis for their comments or assumptions. What happened to Zelensky was not behind closed doors. Carney was also in the oval office and he knew what happened, hence his tact while in the oval office. Behind closed doors is going on without Trump or Carney present. What Trumps negotiators tell Trump is one thing and what Carney hears is another. Thing is, Trump likes the publicity and plays it while Carney sits quietly and plays his hand cautiously. None of us knows what is goign on behind those doors and for anyone to claim that Canada is "caving" or anything else is totally uninformed..as we all are. Some folks here seem to think they know or assume they know what is going on but they are completely in the dark, like we all are. We know Trump likes little victories, so we give him some and do what we want after the fact.
