no politican speaks for the average  worker lol jesus listen to yourself.. you have let pierre brainwash you. pierre would divide the east vs west  even  worse then it is at moment under trudeau lol.

Better than the guy wearing blackface telling the working class they are racist for not following his lead.

pierre is a human chihuahua lol.. infact any person who supports that man is repulsive in my mind. hes the canadian version of trump.

The guy speaks for the average worker. Trudeau comes from a family of privilege and is only taking advice from the same. Why there's such a disconnect

  3. Pierre Poulieve really nailed it yesterday.

The prime Ministers rhetoric toward hard working Canadians who have seen their small businesses close, their elderly parents die alone, kids missing important therapies etc etc calling these people "terrorists" for voicing their frustration is so beneath the office of the Prime Minister.

One of his finest moments. Thank you Pierre

  4. With all the negativity being spewed at us, people suffering both financially and health wise, restrictions etc. here are some positives I've seen:

    1. Great Canadian spirit of generosity

    2. Working from home really highlights how technology has improved commerce

    3. A desire to not take freedom for granted. When you see loved ones, cherish that time.

    4. A greater appreciation for the struggles of people groups whove had to come against oppression.

    Anything else?

  5. But to get back on track, yes Jagmeet is stirring up hate. If someone putting a "Mandate Freedom" sign around Terry Fox statue is the worst thing thats happened I'd say things have gone well.

As Tamara Liche said today, if you are flying the Canadian flag upside down, it's time to flip it right side up. The unity this convoy brought among different colors, religions, and people groups (big Quebec representation), it's time to take pride in the spirit of this country.

The press and politicians can't divide people any longer

Pat King is pretty clearly an organizer.  Again, I don't care but Global pointed out some offensive comments he made so please don't be offended if people assume that there are racists organizing the event

I saw the comments global is trying to use to smear the thousands who are there in protest of the mandates. Big nothing burger but what do you expect from Trudeau's propaganda machine?

The point is, if there’s any substantive question about their value for children, they should NOT be mandatory.  Of course!!!   Why do people now think this is even a question?  What the hell happened to Charter protections?

Dr. Christian, a physician in Saskatoon for more than 20 years, was fired for saying this exact thing.

Did they find a link between the drivers and the convoy organizers to the two people mentioned? If so, i didn't see it. What was the role? What is the link between their ideologies and the rally? Seems like none. The Charter allows for freedom of thought.

The convoy was grassroots. Very few knew who Pat King or Tamara Liche were even 5 days ago. They just knew they were tired of living under the boots of health officials.

Ndp need to drop jameet but they won't do it  charlie angus should of been the ndp leader.  i am sure there is people in  the protests who are racist and stuff but i don't believe its a majority of the truckers mostly small groups that attached on to it.

They made a mistake in punting Tom Mulcaire and going full on fringe with the wokester movement

A go fund me guy might have said that the liberal party has islamists in it. That's not actually untrue, there's one Omar Alghabra there who is credibly accused of being a terrorist supporter:

    https://thecjn.ca/news/canada/islamist-allegations-surface-after-mp-given-key-role/

Let's be honest, someone with Alghabra's hideous political views has no place in Canada's government, let alone a cabinet position. That's just as bad as a having a KKK member serving in the Liberal party.

But I'll go ya one better. Here's Jagmeet Singh with some bigots/terrorists, acting like it's the most normal thing in the world. Is Jagmeet Singh really in a position to be calling the integrity of other Canadians into question? The answer is no. It's a joke that our newspapers give him credibility as a humanitarian. Terrorism is no more acceptable than racism.

    https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/as-jagmeet-singh-condemns-terrorism-second-video-shows-him-speaking-alongside-sikh-separatist

You beat me to it. I was just looking at when Singh was sympathizing with terrorists.

Horseshit. At least they issue retractions... Unlike the liars on this very board who post things that are false, unproven and will never be retracted. Our institutions have served us until now, they're not going to be replaced by randos on YouTube

Their lies like the president being a Russian agent were allowed to fester for four years. More truth in tabloids these days

Read it, then.  The claims are of facts.  If these are straight lies, lawsuits are warranted.

You need to observe the press approach. They are basically given protection to lie and slander especially if the figure is public.

Then they issue retraction on page 50.

How corporate media works. They have an agenda which is basically to prop up the powerful even at the expense of truth

Many faiths, races and people have attended. First nations drumming groups have been important parts of main events

Pat King is a Metis drummer. Don't get all the "white nationalist" slander being tossed out by the press. Hopefully they are sued.

That's what I originally thought about CNN, back when they were putting out incendiary lies to keep the Michael Brown riots going, but after the rioting went away and the lying continued unabated I had to consider other reasons.

Sadly I've come to the conclusion that news organizations are affiliated with political parties and their coverage of daily events isn't centred around truth, information or accuracy at all, it's about supporting the political narratives of their chosen party.

Believe it or not, people are happier being lied to than they are to find out that the other party was right about something.

Depending on what news station you watch the Suleimani drone strike was either a brilliant success or patricide. The Afghan withdrawal was a debacle or a stroke of military brilliance.

Profits are the same regardless of which side a news corp takes because the stories are compelling enough either way. Riots are compelling. Whether they're awesome or criminal depends on your political stripe. At least they are if you're a leftist. If you're a conservative, riots are always bad.

The good news is if you have the time you can watch unfiltered footage and full interviews and draw your own conclusions. It's why I knew much of the Trump narrative in the mainstream media was a lie

Tam was just on the record today and thankfully I didn't turn it off this time because finally we can have some answers. About 5 minutes of convoluted wise-speak that would take two or less for a regular person, we learned that "vaccines have been important in maintaining continuity of the country's critical infrastructure" (literal or very close).

If you could get through maintaining continuity you may know something you did not before. Maybe you thought it was important for some other reason like keeping others (doesn't seem likely at this point) or at least yourself safe or safer. But no, wrong, it's the continuity that matters.

In Britain and Ireland the measures were meant to reduce the negative impact of an infectious wave, and so when it passed there was no reason to keep them in place. Same, Austria. In Sweden there's no problem with "continuity" and maybe for that reason, vaccination was not recommended for children. Yes sure, continuity but there just isn't sufficient benefit to the individual or society to justify the risk, by Swedish measure at least. But you're not there, and here please give a thought to what is going to change in critical infrastructure in the next say, two decades (may want to check "fix it for a generation") and what does it mean for the holy continuity?

No you aren't in Sweden or any of the above, and the message is very clear: continuity at any cost and above all. You get what it means and translates to, do you?

I'm sure behind the scenes they are trying to slither out of the inevitable lawsuits that are sure to come.

Peckford, one of the architects of the Charter, will be bringing one against the travel bans here shortly.

O’Toole’s problem isn’t that he hasn’t toed the Trudeau line on vaccine mandates, it’s that he’s not conservative enough or ballsy enough to speak up to Chairman Castro Trudeau.

He's slowly coming around but I think it's because Pollieve and Scheer are polling higher than him right now and they've been pretty vocal about the Chairman's overreach. Leslyn Lewis as well (who I think would be a solid choice as well)

I do not believe the measures taken by government to protect citizens against Covid are wrong.  I believe the authorities are acting in the interest of Canadians.  It is wrong to say they are "wicked leaders" when they are protecting the health and well-being of Canadians.

Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix are just now giving a Covid-19 update.  The work is not done.

Dr. Henry is just going through the history of the battle against Covid, on Global TV, since it began in 2020 for each month.  Nobody could question the steps taken.  They were the best that were possible with the resources and knowledge available during the pandemic.  About 2,588 people died of Covid in B.C. during that time and the health care system has been stretched to the limit.  But thousands of lives have been saved and we are learning how to deal with it and 90% of the people have received their first shot.

Dr. Henry is just reminding us how we need to wear our masks, stay home when sick, and we are looking forward to the time hopefully in the near future we can get back to doing more of the things we like to do.  She reminds us that Covid will be with us for some time.  It is not finished with us yet.  Next fall there will be transmission again.  She is hoping we will get to the point when we will not need extraordinary public health measures but everyone will take the measures we should as individuals.  She says the people of B.C. have followed the public health measures, made it safer for everybody, and our collective action has made a difference.

I believe people have used that verse to justify a whole bunch of disgusting policies throughout the year including segregation based on personal health decisions. This isn't the first rodeo where governments have used "public safety" as an excuse to enact such policies. Japanese internment camps are a prime example.

Unfortunately the compliance by the churches, even going as far as kicking people out of service over not having a vaccine, will be yet another blemish on the church when this time of history is reviewed in the future

    Quote

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Romans 13:1

God is of the highest authority. He is the one who created all other authority. This verse says that every soul should be subject to Him and His power. He has ordained each of those in authority, and they cannot do anything outside of His power.

Trust Him and His authority over everyone and everything. Nothing surprises Him or worries Him. He always knows what to do. There is no authority on this earth that is there without the control of the Lord. He is still in charge whether the authority listens to Him or not.   Unquote  15 Rewarding Bible Verses About Obedience (to God, Parents & the Law) (christianwalls.com)

The Ottawa police announced those who break the law will be prosecuted.  This is as it should be.  The whole idea of opposing health regulations, restrictions, mandates, masks which have been authorized and ordered by authorities is wrong.  Of course those who do not believe in God and the Bible are anarchists.  Canada has more than it's share of these people as we are seeing.  As I have said before, the turning away from God has it's consequences and a nation without God has no solid foundation and can descend into chaos, anarchy, and self destruct.

Do you believe Christians should obey wicked leaders when their dictates contradict scripture?

  19. A long interview but well worth the time.

Brian Peckford is the only remaining drafter of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

-Peckford provides a solid analysis of the Charter and how governments have trampled the Charter.

-Peckford will be launching a lawsuit against the Federal government for their travel ban, keeping unvaccinated Canadians off public transportation.

-The Government has abused the Emergency Measures section of the Charter. No challenges in parliament have occurred.

-His decision to circumvent the news media is because there's no major news outlet who'd give fairness to the arguments. The news media has recieved 6million tax payer dollars, placing them in a position where they aren't able to criticize government.

-Conversations with senior provincial advisors have been had and policy isn't driven by the science but rather short term opinion polling.

-Media is driving opinion polling through ads and coverage which is basically just state television/propaganda

-Trudeau Sr tried a power play by going to the courts and unilaterally tried passing a Charter but was struck down.

Lack of good paying jobs, economic mobility is stalling, inflation, wacky wars at the start of the XXIst century, public money that is mismanaged, freedoms eroding...

    Lots of reasons.

The biggest one is: no one is listening, like you said in the title.

This right here is right on the money.

Populism is a backlash to the globalism we've seen since the 1990s. Unprecedented rates of wealth inequality, constant trampling underfoot by government and corporations, etc.

The reaction you see to the populism is calculated by politicians. You can take any "conflict resolution" in school and you'll learn all about avoidance, aggressive, collaborative etc approaches. You see those coming out when the press who's largely controlled by the same folks who own politicians start using terms like "fringe". When the movements get to be too big, they'll switch approaches kinda like how corporations monetized the BLM movement or the Occupy movement and have hijacked those now.

Most see things through the lens of how corporate interests want you to see the world. We take in way too much marketing material. None more evident than the constant screams of "you are going to die" during Covid to push you to take a vaxx
