  1. I'm disappointed. I had thought you...of all people...would have the "wear-with-all" to actually check to see if I might have a point. Meh...OK. These Granola hippies (cute term BTW) are evenly split between both of my generalized categories IMO. Take for instance, Pixie-Dust's half-brother Kyle Kemper. I'd bet a bottle o' single malt scotch he was a Granola hippie. Yet he sees Justin for what he is...a failure. I don't really dispute your definition...per se...I dispute your belief in how you use the term. Look...if this is all too uncomfortable for you...fine...I understand. But of all the...shall we say...anti-conservative (and I mean what conservatism has morphed into) personalities on this board, you and @Queenmandy85 at least exhibit an ability to use your brains for something more than to keep your skulls from caving in. I value that trait, which is why I will often discuss things with both of you as level-headedly as a chud like me is capable of. The term "chud" is not really what I want to discuss...although perhaps I've inadvertently put too much emphasis on it. What I really want to discuss is the current social ills we are experiencing...the reasons for them...and what can be done to "fix" this mess. "Chuds" be damned. Perhaps it takes a person who is capable of telling our institutions that "NO! You have gone off the rails and no matter how much you kick and scream, I'm determined to "fix" your mess!"
  2. Were that this would work...but unfortunately it won't and here's why. All matter...right down to the atomic level...is naturally attracted to an "easier" existence. In people, that means they are attracted to the idea of having someone else save money for their retirements. When their paycheque arrives...they splurge and neglect to plop some of it in a retirement savings plan. The results would be a disaster. However...cutting the "fat" from the SS operations IS a necessary objective.
  3. 1&2. Oh but you have. I never see you refer to Libbies as "chuds". You side with them because they display that which you covet...belief in "the establishment". Go through your own posts Mike. You'll see this is true. 3. What do you do, when you realize your child is failing math? Well...many parents will blame the math. Or blame the teacher. I've seen this happen many times...so have you I'd expect. We can categorize such folks as "Libbie Chuds". On the other hand, insightful people will realize their child, for whatever reason, is not performing and will take steps to rectify the issue. We can categorize such folks as "Conservative Chuds". Now...I know the categorizations are rather inaccurate, but lets go with it for simplicity's sake. All we "Conservative Chuds" want, is to rectify the issue. Seems rather...level headed...no? And if you find this argument hard to swallow...this next one will choke you... Which Chud group should we place both Polievre and Trump in? Seems obvious that they fall into the "Conservative Chud" grouping...doesn't it? Chew on that a bit Mike...and then get back to me. We're not "bad"...we don't want to outright reject the institutions...we just wanna fix what's obviously broken.
  4. Well...if society is in a state of constant slow improvement, then the last 4 or 5 years have been a "slip" in a downward direction. Think about it. the culture wars the failure of our leadership and our media unnecessary wars the decline of our economy and so on...
  5. I doubt citations are necessary. What I believe we are witnessing, is a mass case of real "cognitive dissonance". A population that wanted desperately to maintain a belief...and trust, if you will...in what is commonly known as "the establishment" and suffer from the conflict brought about by the slow realization that "the establishment" has failed and has resorted to lying, in order to save face. The result...The Culture War. A social conflict that Mike, you profess to hate. And I believe you do hate it. You've been forced to choose sides, much to your personal distaste. Unfortunately, you could not choose the side that has lost all trust in "the establishment". Thus you sided with the failing side and opposed the "chuds", as you term us. The good news is, you're level headed enough to not give way to pure hatred...as is the norm for so many on the failing side...thus your internal conflict is not as severe and can be eradicated relatively easy. Open your eyes Mike. It may not be a pleasant realization but, the unfortunate truth is... "The establishment" has failed all of us.
  6. So the last 4 or 5 years were just a "hic-up" then?
  7. Oh. This is interesting, robo. So...MSNBC had 10 viewers in the 4th quarter?
  8. As for you...Coug...You apparently think its OK to restrict and choke off the primary source of global energy AND impose inflationary pressures on the global economies...for something that is NOT a crisis. I find that not only "scary"...but down right selfish and insubstantial.
  9. ABJECT HORSESH!T!!! @User asked "How?" and then proceeded to point out that it is in fact Democrats who have been crapping on freedoms AND Democracy. Not the other way around. Now...the questions remains. HOW exactly would or have any of Trump's following or Trump himself, dismantled democracy? I'll wait...
  10. 1. Indeed we do not have a fair and just society. This is one of the reasons Trump is to become POTUS. People want the US to move towards a fair and just society. 2. No "conviction" exists in NY State, until after sentencing. As it stands...that will never happen for a couple of reasons. a. The sentencing never happens b. The verdict is overturned on appeal. 3. Nobody should serve jail time without having been "convicted". 4. It will never be completely fair and just. But after 4 years of The Brandon Show...people want to get back to a closer representation of it. Nothing's perfect...but what Brandon and his cohorts engaged in was WAY off the mark.
  11. Huh...well its not that I trust you. I trust very few people. But it looked like the discussion had been derailed and needed to be put back on the tracks. Knowing what we think we know from my last post, is DOGE a bad idea? I say not only is it A good idea, but that its necessary.
  12. OK so...let's try to clarify. Will DOGE cut out any redundant or wasteful bureaucratic costs? Apparently. Will overall military spending be reduced? That depends on a number of factors. 1. Will the US repatriate forces posted in places deemed non-essential to US security? 2. Will the US military refurbish the hardware sent to Ukraine and Israel? 3. Will the US military require an increase of soldiers?
  13. Mike...its not a case or "more" or "less". Its a case of "smart" or "wasteful".
  14. Your modus operanti is laughable and revealingly childish. 'When wrong, attack with sexual innuendo about your opponent's family.' Meh...you will grow up hopefully...Pup.
  15. The electorate was smart enough to know that Brandon failed, that Kamala is a twit and that Lloyd J Austin III is a fat, gutless m0ron.
  16. Time for Hawk to be charged and locked up.
  17. The voters know nothing eh? I'm not surprised an ultra-Libbie like you thinks that.
  18. If Musk does buy MSNBC, maybe he'll put Carlson on it every evening...just for you.
  19. Good. So being a good Samaritan is not dead...yet.
  20. Although tasteless...its was a joke. Why is it that among other things...Libbies insist on stomping on comedy? I mean...the mainstream late night shows are getting trounced by Gutfeld. People wanna laugh...not virtue signal.
