  1. In response to the Trudeau governments irresponsible overspending, adding hundreds of billions to our national debt, its attack on our economy and violation our human rights there is a petition to remove him from office. This is the link. https://www.change.org/p/canadian-house-of-commons-at-least-1-million-signatures-to-remove-pm-justin-trudeau-and-his-liberal-government
  2. Our government in conjunction with our chief health officer told us that it was necessary to lock down our economy, and population in order to keep our hospitals from being overwhelmed by people infected by covid19. How close to being overwhelmed are our hospitals? Hospitals in B.C. 161 Hospitalizations B.C. 22 intensive care, 69 total. Sorry, but I was unable to find federal data, but would welcome anyone who could provide it. sources http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/data https://www.statista.com/statistics/440923/total-number-of-hospital-establishments-in-canada-by-province/ In B.C. 84% of our hospitals have no intensive care cases of covid19, and 42% of our hospitals have no cases of covid19 cases at all. There is no threat of the hospitals being overwhelmed at all. Why then are our elected officials telling us that there is? Are they unaware of the situation, and therefore incompetent, or aware that there is no such threat and intentionally crippling our economy, compromising our children’s education, denying our civil rights?
  3. The policy of locking down seems to be ineffective. When the virus first hit it was not the people with lots of contacts who were infected, but those who had few contacts. Kids in crowded schools, not many infections. restaurant servers and other service industry workers not many infections, people attending sporting events not many infections, transit users not many infections not many infections. The majority of infections and almost all the early deaths were in long term care facilities, where the patients were not going into public places and making new contacts. It seems that there is a small percentage of the population that are vulnerable to the virus, and the vast majority of the population is not at risk. There are some healthy individuals that will become infected, but this seems to be because of quirks of the immune system, just as some people will die if they eat a peanut. It is possible that most of the people that who are at risk of being infected, have now been infected, and the virus will burn itself out.
  4. I am not saying that the covid fire in Sweden is burning out because it is running out of fuel, while in Canada we are still tearing our houses down to create a fire break, but that is possibly closer to the truth than what we are hearing from our elected officials.
  5. https://nationalpost.com/news/world/positive-covid-tests-in-no-lockdown-sweden-hit-lowest-rate-since-pandemic-began Sweden carried out a record number of new coronavirus tests last week with only 1.2% coming back positive, the health agency said on Tuesday, the lowest rate since the pandemic began at a time when countries across Europe are seeing surges in infections. Sweden avoided a lockdown and instead emphasized personal responsibility, social distancing and good hygiene in a bid to slow rather than eradicate a disease deemed here to stay.
  6. When there is already so much unemployment?
  7. The government in response to a viral infection locked down the Canadian population. The idea was to lessen the amount of contact, thereby lessening the amount of infections. Most of the infections though were not happening in people with the most contacts, for example children in schools, transit users, or waitresses and others in the service industry. Most of the infections were happening in long term care facilities where the victims of the virus had limited contacts. I am not saying that the number of contacts one has is not a significant risk factor, but that is possible. The government shut down schools, small businesses, live concerts, sporting events and social events such as weddings etc.. This caused massive unemployment, the failure of multiple thousands of small, and several large businesses while doing little to protect the most vulnerable, who largely were confined to bed. I am not saying that the government measures were misguided and ineffective in controlling the disease, but it is possible. Am I saying that our government sabotaged our economy, caused the largest economic contraction in history, attacked our social fabric, compromised the education of our children and diminished our quality of life for almost no benefit to anyone at all. I am not saying that, but it is possible. The number of infections spiked early, and has been decreasing steadily since then. I am not saying that this is what would happen if there was a small percentage of the population that were susceptible to the disease and most of them have now have had it, but that is possible. Am I not saying that this is the worst government in the history of Canada, that they completely dropped the ball and have saddled multi generational debt for no reason at all, I am not, but it is possible.
  8. It's a date. Does the 26th work for you?
  9. In the April 23-28 Reuters poll of 25 economists, Canada’s economy was predicted to have contracted at an annualized rate of 9.8 per cent last quarter and to shrink 37.5 per cent this quarter. In a January poll, they predicted 1.6-per-cent and 1.7-per-cent growth, respectively, showing just how abruptly the economy has turned. If the latest forecasts are realized, it would mark the deepest recession in at least six decades. “Canada is in the midst of an historic economic contraction. The economy has largely shut down, paralyzed by measures to contain the coronavirus pandemic, free-falling financial markets, plunging oil prices and plummeting confidence,” said Tony Stillo, director of Canada economics at Oxford Economics.
  10. Number of hospitals in B.C. 206 number of covid hospitalizatioons 22. With proper management our hospitals should not be overwhelmed.
  11. There were no hospitals jammed up with so called Covid patients lying around in the hospitals out in the hallways. All just made up stories that people like you will eat up and believe when told to you by your lying politicians, the lying media, and those so called lying health experts. Why did our politicians or hospitals administrators not allow family or friends to go visit a member of a family supposedly in the hospital with Covid? Why? Because there were not all that many people in there with Covid. If visitors were able to go visit a family member or friend they would have probably seen for themselves that the Covid wards were not all that full and overflowing at all. You need to stop living in a world of fantasy and fear and panic and paranoia over something that was not that serious at all. Every year tens of thousands of people get sick from some seasonal virus flu and many recover while many will die. So, did you ever give a crap about that before? I say no. You are all in a panic over something that the globalist controlled media got you all upset about. If you are all in favor of people wearing a face diaper mask and social distancing well go wear a mask and please do social distance yourself from others. I could care less. But for those of us who are able to think for ourselves we do not want to play the face diaper mask globalist game. Your Canadian politicians are not leaders. They are nothing more than a bunch of globalist followers and have taken it upon themselves to start acting like cruel dictators. We are now living in Orwellian days. Woke up will you. Well said. In a world where everyone is supposed to think with one brain, it is refreshing to see that there are still those that think for themselves. No one that I know has had covid. I believe that people have been infected, but to me it is all anecdotal. Everyone that I know has been affected by the governments ill advised attack on our society and economic structure. We just had in the last quarter the worst economic retraction ever recorded. Our children's children will be saddled with the massive debt resulting from this. The damage from the virus is not devastating, the damage from government incompetence is. Orwell would be happy that some are heeding his warning, but would be alarmed o see our leaders going down the path he predicted.
  12. I probably already had it, maybe so did you. I survived it no problem, as im a big healthy male specimen. I didn't have any symptoms, so I probably had it too.
  13. You would have to have 500 people in the room before there is a 50% chance that one of them has the virus.
  14. If we'd carried on as usual from March to June, those people's health could have been equally or more at risk because of Covid - hospitals full, people off work sick for weeks or sometimes months, many more deaths. People believe that there is a high risk of getting covid, but don't look at the numbers for themselves. Here they are. Covid cases 5,372, one tenth of one percent of B.C.'s population Deaths 204 one two hundred fiftyth of one percent Hospitalizations 22, one 4 thousand four hundredth of one percent. source http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/data. Is our health care system in danger of being overwhelmed by the 22 people hospitalized, I think not. Is the infection rate low because there are no contacts? Not really, people think that they are socially distancing if the middle seat of an airplane is vacant. They will be sitting 18 inches from another person for 4 to 6 hours breathing the same recirculated air, and feeling safe. Traffic that was a fraction of it's pre covid volume in mid March, now it is the same as ever. People are squeezing oranges, and handling produce that someone else will buy. People a crowding onto rapid transit and jostling each other. There are lots of contacts, but few infections so it seems harder to get covid than we are led to believe. The damage to society and our children's education is very real though.
  15. They secretly plotted with china and unleashed the virus on us, gave us free money to stay at home while "everything" was closed so they could play the "cruel dictator" for a couple of months. Nice try, but this government is not that clever. I have to say though that you show more imagination than your average despot groupie.
  16. Are you a teenage girl that cries about everything being the end of the world? I know that you don’t care about the things that enrich the quality of life, so why should I be surprised to discover that you are a misogynist? Here is a thought. Where will a government that is spending billions of dollars fighting covid, while at the same time crippling it’s revenue producers' get the money to operate our hospitals and schools. Won’t the hospitals be overwhelmed if there is no money to pay our care providers? What if you need a hospital and there is no one there?
  17. A US senator recently said something like this. I am amazed by the capacity of people to endure the pain and suffering of others. Glad your world is so peachy.
  18. Our schools were closed from March to September. Our children missed over one third of the school year. Schools are scheduled to open at limited capacity in September. Failing to provide the best education for our children isn’t a problem for you, say it aint so. Before the closures, my mom had access to a seniors centre, she played bridge twice a week, went with her friends 2 or 3 times a week to local restaurants on their bus, saw plays, went to an over 90s club among other events. Diminishing the quality of life of our seniors is not a problem for you, say it aint so. Before the closures I used to attend sporting events, live music events, family birthdays and weddings among other things, with my family and friends. Messing with our social fabric is not a problem for you, say it aint so. Government has gone on a spending binge, while reducing it’s citizens, and business ability to contribute to the economy. Saddling our future generations with an enormous debt which is beyond their ability to repay is not a problem for you. Say it aint so. You can avoid the virus by becoming a hermit, and living in a cave. Don’t think that it is right to tell the rest of the world to follow suit.
  19. The government should be providing education for our children, not withholding it. The government should be fostering small business not crippling it. The government should be enabling people to live a life freely associating with others, not making it a crime. The virus is under control, the government is not.
  20. Orwell told of a society where the government where big brother controlled the population, where personal freedoms were discouraged, and unofficially outlawed, where people were encouraged to spy on others and report any unsanctioned behavior and the violators punished. The thought police told everyone what to think, and individual thought was not tolerated. We are not there yet, but we are drifting in that direction. Recently it was illegal to operate your own restaurant, or other small business, send you kids to school or gather with your friends. The excuse for all of this is that we need to spread infections over a longer time span so our health care system won't be overwhelmed. It isn't. The government is unable to stop medelling in peoples lives. You can't let your fear stop other people from living their lives.
  21. I do miss Paul Martin, but if Trudeau was looking to be fiscally responsible he would have returned Bill Morneau's phone calls, and Cynthia Freespend wouldn't be conrolling our budget.
  22. Have you ever seen a Trudeau slash spending?
  23. That is what brought down the Weimar Republic and gave us the little guy with the mustache.
  24. If Canada has increased it's debt while crippling the economy at the same reducing it's tax base, won't it have to print huge amounts of paper money like Germany did in the 1920s?
  25. Who holds our debt, and is our obligation to pay it back?
