  1. Invisible does not imply magic. In fact most of the universe is invisible to us. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_energy Dark energy is thought to be very homogeneous and not very dense, and is not known to interact through any of the fundamental forces other than gravity. Since it is quite rarefied and un-massive—roughly 10−27 kg/m3—it is unlikely to be detectable in laboratory experiments. The reason dark energy can have such a profound effect on the universe, making up 68% of universal density in spite of being so dilute, is that it uniformly fills otherwise empty space. Dark matter makes up about 27%. The rest - everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments, all normal matter - adds up to less than 5% of the universe. You can bury your head in the sand, and convince yourself that what you can't see won't hurt you, but what we can't see, is very real, and all around us.
  2. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6172100/ It seems that old paintings don’t figure in to them all that much. It seems to be more about leaving a dying body, a sense of wellbeing and being free of physical restraints. The blind can see, they can travel at will, free from gravity, see from a perspective outside their body. They see a light, approach it, and are greeted by departed loved ones, and are often given a choice to return to the body, or enter into the light.
  3. Justin could have listened to his finance minister Bill Morneau, one of the most respected money managers in the country, when he told that we needed to manage the economy rationally. Instead he refused to answer his calls and replaced him with a former journalist, and raided the piggy bank.
  4. They have their own economic problems, but Justin might fit right in.
  5. If you want to emulate the Americans, maybe we should build an aircraft carrier the size of a city, create a nuclear arsenal and invade Iraq.
  6. Smart economics is using good times to build your economy to prepare for hard times. Even a squirrel knows to store nuts for the winter.
  7. The Trudeau government's spending was out of control before they imposed the restrictions. Everybody is doing it is no excuse for fiscal mismanagement.
  8. https://torontosun.com/opinion/goldstein-trudeaus-runaway-spending-hiked-canadas-debt-160-billion-before-pandemic-hit-report When the COVID-19 pandemic hit Canada in March 2020, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau boasted his prudent management of federal spending since taking office in 2015 meant the government had the “fiscal firepower” to weather the coming economic storm. But a new study by the fiscally-conservative Fraser Institute — released Tuesday — says runaway spending by the Trudeau government before the pandemic hit added as much as $160 billion to Canada’s public debt, making it much harder to recover from the economic devastation it has caused going forward. “Additional spending by the federal government in the years leading up to COVID-19 … left the country in worse fiscal shape to deal with the pandemic,” said study co-author Tegan Hill in the report, Ottawa’s Pattern of Excessive Spending and Persistent Deficits. “Generations of Canadians will be paying for Ottawa’s high spending and additional debt, a situation that was exacerbated, but not caused, by the COVID-19 pandemic.” The study found between the fiscal years 2015-16 and 2019-20, the Trudeau government ran consecutive deficits, causing the federal debt to rise by $112.2 billion. During that period, the government increased spending by 36.1%, up from $248.7 billion in 2014-15 (the year before Trudeau came to power) to $338.5 billion in 2019-20, exceeding the growth rate of government revenues. The report says if the Trudeau government had moderated its spending from 2015 to 2019 — before the pandemic hit in March 2020 — to the rate of inflation plus population growth, or the rate of nominal GDP growth, it “would have recorded surpluses nearly every year over the period and avoided taking on approximately $150 billion to $160 billion in debt.” Instead, the Trudeau government increased average annual spending by 6.4%, more than double the average annual rate of inflation plus population growth at 2.9%, and nominal GDP growth of 3% annually. “That led to persistent budget deficits and debt accumulation before COVID-19,” the study says. During the 2015 federal election that brought him to power, Trudeau promised three years of “modest deficits” — $9.9 billion in 2016, $9.5 billion in 2017, $5.7 billion in 2018 — and a balanced budget with a $1 billion surplus in 2019. Instead, he delivered annual deficits of $19 billion in both 2016 and 2017, $14 billion in 2018 and $39.4 billion in 2019 — all before the pandemic hit in early 2020. Today, the Trudeau government no longer gives any date for eliminating the federal deficit the prime minister originally said would be gone by 2019-20, with a $1 billion surplus in that year. Because of new spending during the pandemic, the Trudeau government now pegs the federal deficit at $327.7 billion for 2020-21; $144.5 billion for the 2021-22 fiscal year which ends March 31; $58.4 billion in 2022-23; $43.9 billion in 2023-24; $29.1 billion in 2024-25; $22.7 billion in 2025-26 and $13.1 billion in 2026-27. Canada’s combined federal debt — the total of all previous deficits plus interest — went over $1 trillion for the first time in 2020-21 during the first year of the pandemic and is now projected to increase to $1.36 trillion by 2026-27. “The COVID-19 pandemic has no doubt worsened Ottawa’s fiscal challenges, but it did not create them,” said study co-author Jake Fuss. “Imprudent spending by the federal government in the years leading up to COVID-19 added billions in debt before the pandemic struck.” Trudeau is definitely a menace to Canada's future, sorry you napped through all that.
  9. Justin Trudeau massively increased the money supply while in concert with others put in place restrictions that crippled the economy, which decreased G.D.P. (goods and services generated by the Canadian economy). More money, and less to buy with it means inflation. This is in Canadian control, because we elected the problem.
  10. Justin Trudeau has massively increased Canada’s national debt during times of prosperity, and hard economic times. He has increased the debt from 612 billion, when he took office to 1.16 trillion today. In his 7 years in office he has increased the debt by almost as much as was accumulated in the 148 years before his assuming office. It seems he is unable, or unwilling to stop spending other people’s money beyond their ability to repay it, The only way to deal with the debt is to inflate it away. If you pay more for a good or service the government makes more on G.S.T., excise taxes and import duties. If you get a raise to cope with higher prices, the government collects more income tax. As the purchasing power of the dollar goes down, the value of the debt in real terms decreases. The massive debt is also pushing up interest rates. In 2020 the federal government issued $369 billion in debt securities (government bonds). After flooding the market, higher interest rates are necessary to continue the government’s policy of spending by borrowing.
  11. This is true. As Blood Sweat and Tears put it. I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. Swear there ain't no heaven and I pray there ain't no hell, But I'll never know by living, only my dying will tell. I hope that you find the answer that you wished for.
  12. Matthew 13:24-30 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn. At the time of the harvest those who hurt others will face judgement, those who suffer without cause will be comforted. A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. You see the pain, which will pass, but not the life with God that will not. You think that all you see is all there is. It is not. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6172100/ While no two NDEs are the same, there are characteristic features that are commonly observed in NDEs. These characteristics include a perception of seeing and hearing apart from the physical body, passing into or through a tunnel, encountering a mystical light, intense and generally positive emotions, a review of part or all of their prior life experiences, encountering deceased loved ones, and a choice to return to their earthly life. Life with your loved ones in the presence of God for those who care for others, judgement for those who harm others.
  13. The pain and suffering is not caused by God, but rather by the separation of man and God. This is only for a time and then our spirit will return to God who made it. God's seeming inaction is to test who is fit to live in God's kingdom, and who must be kept out. You probably wouldn't be happy if you entered heaven, and found out that your closest neighbours were Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Charles Manson. God is not indifferent to the suffering of man, He actually chose to live as a man, suffering persecution, arrest, beatings and being executed by being nailed to a cross
  14. I do not think that technology, or rather it’s partner science will ever find God, because it is not looking. I bekieve that time will tell, because our bodies will at some point no longer support life and our spirit will return to our Maker. As for technology, it seems to be a mixed blessing. It and science have brought us many things that have improved our quality of life, but also damaged our environment. It also has the answers to solving these problems by things such as the Trans African Pipeline that aims to green the Northern Sahara, machines that optimize the production of algae and capture carbon, while producing eco friendly plastics and fuels, hydroponics for producing food, and many other solutions. Many believe that we don’t have the will to make the necessary sacrifices or time to implement them, and that the increasing human population will make our planet unfit for human life. If you read revelations you might see some parallels. It tells of this earth coming to a terrible end, and God bringing in a new Earth, where He is the light. You don’t need to believe this, but might want to read it anyway.
  15. Believe what you will. I believe that we were created by design. When God saw that man chose responsibility over innocense, it became necessary to separate those who chose the common good from those who cared only for themselves. I believe it is appointed to man once to die then judgement. I don’t think the afterlife is a matter of musical chairs. Time will tell who is right.
  16. Don't know why these people would lie. My takeaway is that it is best to please the Father, by trying to become the people that we were hoping our children would grow up to be.

Doesn't seem too scary, I would consider it more of a homecoming. The separation between man and God was never intended to be permanent.
  18. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6172100/ Near-death experiences often occur in association with cardiac arrest. Prior studies found that 10–20 seconds following cardiac arrest, electroencephalogram measurements generally find no significant measurable brain cortical electrical activity. A prolonged, detailed, lucid experience following cardiac arrest should not be possible, yet this is reported in many NDEs. When cardiac arrest occurs, the heart stops because the brain stops sending signals to it. When this occurs the brain dies because it gets no oxygen. When the brain dies you are medically dead. Yet these people had prolonged, detailed, lucid experiences. These people approached a light, and were given a choice to return to physical life or join the light. There was no choice to choose a different body. He bible tells us: Ecclesiastes 12: and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. It is interesting to note that the experience was similar for all despite their religious beliefs.
  19. You might want to read this study published by the Journal of the Missouri State Medical Association. It's study doesn't seem to be consistent with reincarnation, but correlates very strongly with what the bible teaches. That being said ones religious beliefs seem inconsequential to the experiences noted. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6172100/
  20. Advancing to what? Who decides what stage you go to? Is it all random, or is someone in charge of ordering all this?
  21. I am not sure I understand how reincarnation works. Does the spirit just hang around couples likely to conceive, and just pop in when the union occurs, or does it go on a waiting list somewhere. Is there a privacy issue here somewhere?
  22. Not believing is only a temporary condition. In time all will believe. Unfortunately there are two types of people who consider themselves Christians. Those who want to be like God. They believe that they need to tell others how to live, and see all their transgressions, and constantly judge others. Let God be God. The others are the ones who want to be like Jesus, who believe that you should love your neighbour as yourself. Those who love and forgive. Jesus came to bring a light into the world. You don't have to walk in the light, but you might choose to walk in the light.
  23. You say that the bible is the only book that speaks of Jesus, and immediately follow by mentioning Tacitus and Josephus. You don’t see a contradiction there? The topic is do you believe that Jesus really existed, and denigrated into attacks on the authorship of the bible, and God’s plan. Of course conspiracy theorists believe what they choose to believe no matter how compelling the evidence is. The theory here is that a small group of mostly illiterate Galileans got together, and conspired to spread throughout the world telling a story of a Redeemer. Their intent was to trick the world into loving their neighbour as themselves.
