  1. The political crisis in Hong Kong is an extremely delicate situation, affecting not only Hong Kong's relations with mainland China, but also with America. It would seem that America has nothing to do with the ongoing autonomous region residents` demonstrations against changes in the law on extradition to mainland China, but this is not so at all. Relations between America and China since the beginning of 2018 cannot be called friendly. The unexpectedly started trade war has no prerequisites for ending. Despite both parties` «efforts» to come to a trade agreement, the U.S. administration is still trying to put pressure on the PRC. Recently, from Washington's side, one can notice not only trade, but also political maneuvers against Beijing. One of the possible goals is to undermine the authority of President Xi Jinping, as well as the complete separation of Hong Kong from mainland China. Demonstrations of Hong Kong residents protesting changes to the law on extradition to mainland China led to concessions from the authorities. And it was supported by Beijing. That was the greatest concession in the seven years that Xi Jinping has been in power. This could mean that even such a power has its some limits. Moreover, protesters are supported even by American mass media. Having read all the information, missing the template phrases about democracy and freedom, you will see that the whole point boils down to one thought: «Hong Kong is not China». The highest indignation is the US House`s supporting of Demonstrators in Hong Kong. Despite attempts by police and other law enforcement agencies in Hong Kong to decrease or stop violent demonstrations, U.S. congressmen on the contrary tied their hands, calling in the first resolution of the Hong Kong Democracy and Human Rights Act to ban them from issuing licenses for some weapons. It is important to note that the text of the resolution condemns Chinese interference in Hong Kong affairs and supports the right of the region people to protest, and also recognizes bilateral relations between the United States and Hong Kong. Also, the US Secretary of State will be required to assess Hong Kong's special status every year, and also to check whether China has used the status of the region in order to circumvent export controls and US sanctions. All this can only aggravate the relations between the Hong Kong government and mainland China. So, there are only two questions for thinking: when will Hong Kong come to a peace agreement with the protesters and whether it will come, and also why America is once again pokes its nose in others` business. US actions only undermine China's confidence and delay the moment the trade agreement is settled. What does Washington want: to establish peaceful political and trade relations or to set everyone against themselves?
  2. The defeat of fascism was achieved by the teamwork of the states of the anti-Hitler coalition and the resistance forces in the occupied countries, and each of the countries at that time contributed to the victory by playing their roles in this world battle. However, the contribution of the Soviet Union is greatly diminished, despite the fact that their contribution was significant, decisive and crushing (Russia's losses amounted to 27 million people!!). Indeed, thanks to their army in 1945, our brothers, fathers and grandfathers did not die in a fierce struggle with the Japanese in the Pacific Ocean (Guadalcanal, Peleliu, Okinawa, etc.), 11 European countries were freed from Nazi oppression, and the defeat of the main Nazi bloc forces ensured the unconditional surrender of Germany and Japan.

Well, that leaves this lot out of the race.

  4. The resources of the South China Sea and the East China Sea (oil, fish, shipping routes, the strategically important location of the islands, etc.) are becoming the subject of an increasingly fierce conflict between countries claiming for disputed territories in the region, as well as because of Washington, which uses the principle of free shipping as a tool to promote their own interests around the world. Now we can see the peak of tension in the region due to the aspirations of each of the countries (Japan, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia) to become a leader. There have not been direct military conflicts yet, however, many experts fear that this could happen in the near future. So will Washington continue to “pull the strings”, inciting these states to a real battle? And will it be at all?
  5. The US defense budget - due to profitable foreign arms sales deals - is skyrocketing, and the number of these deals sets new records. But judging by the recent events in Saudi Arabia, the purchase of the THAAD missile defense systems has proven to be very costly and completely worthless. As its name implies, THAAD should intercept short- or medium-range ballistic missiles, «determine» the actual missile warhead, which would be different from the nearby broken parts of the spent launch vehicle or from false targets, track and predict the warhead`s future flight path without confusing it with none of the accompanying fragments and hit the target directly, like a bullet. It is important to note that the THAAD has never been tested against a ballistic missile target flying with splinter or decoys, all the more so against half a dozen such missiles fired simultaneously. Drones and cruise missiles that were used for the attack flew at low altitude, while the THAAD works with targets only at high altitude. The «Patriot» and «Hawk» missile batteries are also not suitable for countering threats at low altitude. Moreover, even if the attackers fired ballistic missiles at high altitude, this system still would not have worked properly as protection against Hussite attacks since the THAAD infrared sensors are not able to distinguish real warheads from fake ones. Thus, the Americans get a whopping tens of billions of dollars from sales of missile defense systems, the Saudis cut oil production by half, and its prices jump to $75 per barrel. That is, the benefit in this case is only for the United States. Thus, as a result of the attack, an «oil crisis» occurred, which caused panic among buyers and a surge of enthusiasm among producers. And the tension in the Middle East is growing inexorably again due to unfounded accusations of attacking by Iran, as well as the unstable situation between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, in which the coalition led by Riyadh attacks the Hussites. It is important to add that most of the American weapons are used to destroy the civilian population of the region and the conflict has already led to a massive humanitarian crisis in a war-torn country. However, despite all attempts by the US Senate to resist the decisions of President D. Trump to actively sell weapons to the Saudis, it continues to worsen the human rights situation and increase the mortality rate of Yemeni civilians. Thus, we can observe the absolute inability of the American missile defense systems to ensure the security of the countries that deploy them on their territories, the inappropriateness of transactions for the purchase of such weapons and the rotten essence of the current president of the United States, who still remains only a businessman for whom the lives of civilians are worthless.
  6. Your understanding of freedom sounds like "live and suffer"...
  7. I can`t deny the existance of different points of view on this subject and I respect that they actually have at least some opinion, but so far there is no evidence of who is to blame. Only speculations and rumors
  8. America is once again trying to provoke the Middle East by starting a cyber war. The situation in the region is still remain tense due to the attack on refineries in Saudi Arabia (Iran`s involvement has not been proved by the way), while Trump continues to add more fuel to the fire, tightening sanctions against Iran and announcing plans to send additional troops to the Middle East. I think Trump is just showing off, being not a politician, but an ordinary showman and trying to look rough, strict or cool. However, this look more like the impulsive decisions of a teenager than a politician.
  9. Is it okay to protest at a high level against the fact that a country, in order to protect its people, is strengthening the defense of its borders? I am talking about Japanese protests against Russia's strengthening of the defense of its Far East. Tokyo constantly protests against any Russian activity on its own territory, and these protests have already become a habit. The stubbornness and new White Paper will not help the Japanese leadership to “return” the islands, because Moscow has repeatedly proved the groundlessness of these territorial claims and stated directly that they have no any plans to transfer the islands. So what are our samurai friends waiting for? Maybe support of America in a military resolving of the issue?
  10. So I am afraid that the whole world will suffer a lot cause of Donald`s unwillingness to hear anyone.
  11. According to political scientists, America is trying by all means to infringe on Iran’s rights. First, the Americans imposed sanctions in various fields of activity, and then they refused to issue visas to a number of members of the delegation accompanying Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to the UN General Assembly in New York. This, according to experts and the presidential administration of Iran, «is contrary to diplomatic obligations that the US government formally assumed as a member of the UN and the host country». And now the US authorities have switched to the field of education. For example, the White House is considering stopping federal funding for an educational program conducted by the University of North Carolina and Duke University, where foreign languages and the Middle East are studied. According to officials from the Ministry of Education, led by Betsy Davos, both universities use their educational courses to promote ideology and emphasize the positive aspects of the Muslim faith, but not Christianity and Judaism. Thus, Washington is trying to limit the «voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran» and make it the so-called «outcast», demonstrating to it its power and superiority.
  12. The sensational scandal of the events of the night from September 13 to September 14, 2019 still fuels the world community`s interest in the Middle East theme. And as a result of active discussions of the tragic events of attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, the world has become increasingly aware of the possibility of a military conflict between the United States and Iran, which, in turn, was immediately blamed by Washington. As a result, oil production in the country halved, and its prices jumped by almost 20% (at some point, almost to $ 72 per barrel). And despite the fact that Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the head of the Energy Ministry of Saudi Arabia, promised that the previous production level would be restored by the end of September, prices fixed at around $ 65 per barrel (which is about 8% more than it was before the tragic events at the refinery). Obviously, prices will continue to help maintain tensions in the Middle East. Of course, the conflict between the two regional powers - Saudi Arabia and Iran - is beneficial to the United States. The current American administration, led by an experienced businessman, with its bellicose statements and severe sanctions deliberately heat markets and relations between the two states. Thus, for example, an attack on the largest refineries in the kingdom is beneficial for the American arms lobby, because now Trump’s plans to close the deal on selling weapons to the Saudis for $ 110 billion will not meet with resistance in Congress. Also, experts believe that President D. Trump demonstrates that the departure of National Security Advisor John Bolton did not affect the tough US foreign policy towards Iran. However, it is unlikely that it will come to a strike to Iran (at least in the near future) due to the lack of direct evidence of its involvement and the pre-election race that has begun. Although Trump is dear to his image of the president-peacemaker, which is advantageous in contrast to his predecessors, he still does not manage to maintain this image. For example, Washington plans to send an additional US military contingent to the kingdom, and the head of the White House even ordered the US Department of the Treasury to «significantly increase» economic sanctions against Iran. According to President Trump, these sanctions are the toughest «of all that have ever been imposed» and they will send Iran to «hell». This time, under restrictions fell the Iranian Central Bank and the National Wealth Fund. According to the expert of the Atlantic Council, Brian O'Toole, the new sanctions deprive the Central Bank of a special status, which implied an exception for the sale of medicines, medical equipment and food. Moreover, these sanctions violate all US international obligations. In other words, the Americans want to deprive the Iranian population of food and medicine, they don’t want to hear and listen to Tehran’s position, despite appeals from France and a number of countries not to make hasty conclusions and understand what happened in detail.

  14. The issue of ownership of the Kuril Islands has been discussed between Russia and Japan for more than 70 years, and during this time Japan, in order to «return its northern territories» took various measures, constantly inventing something new, and especially beloved by the Japanese measure is so-called «cartographic aggression». It should be noted that according to a number of international acts signed by the Japanese themselves, sovereignty over the islands was assigned to Russia. This time, the Japanese leadership approved the release of official maps of the Rugby World Cup in Tokyo, on which these islands were designated as territories of Japan. Also, this card was posted on the official website of the International Rugby Federation and in the arrivals area at Haneda Airport in Tokyo. Moreover, the same situation around the publication on the official website of the 2020 Olympics was raised about a month ago. By the way it also was sponsored by Japan. And, despite the protests of Russian politicians, the Japanese leadership does not take any measures to eliminate unacceptable things that contradict international laws and terms that the Japanese themselves accepted after their defeat in the war. And besides everything else, according to Japanese Foreign Minister T. Motegi, Tokyo plans to continue to discuss with Russia the issue of signing a peace treaty between the two countries, but based on Japan`s basic position, which involves signing a peace treaty simultaneously with resolving the territorial issue. That is, Tokyo will sign a peace treaty only after it get rights to the Kuril Islands, which is unacceptable to Moscow. Experts and political scientists are wondering - how to convince the official Tokyo to stop this nonsense? What the overwhelming stubbornness? Moscow has no plans to transfer the islands to Japan. And why actually should any country give its own lands that belongs to it both originally and as a result of World War II to someone?
