Time to take on far-right terrorists
Realitycheck replied to jacee's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The only thing self-evident is the fact there is no god. To believe there is, to believe in imaginary beings, people who never existed and events which never took place is a classic indicator of mental illness. -

"Hating on"? Clearly grammar is not a prerequisite. -

Reality is not subject to belief, only interpretation. The fact is, there is/are no god/gods. Thus all religions are false regardless of how many believe the contrary. There is a reason believers are called upon to have faith...because there is no proof. I have no difficulty with people being self-deluded. I definitely have a problem when they try to force their mythology and delusions upon others or upon society, as is happening in the US as we write. -

A very scholarly response. However, it doesn't address the fact all religions are false and predicated upon mere mythology and outright lies. The morality and ethics you attribute to xianity were extant long before the xian mythos was devised. There is no god, are no gods. Jesus is a myth adopted from older pagan rising god myths, Moses is mythical and taken from an older Babylonian myth. There was no flood, the ark is an impossibility, adam and eve are myths, the sun never paused in the sky, hebrews were never slaves in egypt so exodus never took place , neither Mo nor Smith rode to heaven on a flying horse. Regardless of what inspiration the heavily flawed Book Of Lies may have provided to many imaginative people, it remains a faulty, contradictory work of primitive men who wondered where the sun went at night. I have never understood why people would be proud of their skin colour or place of origin when they had no choice in the matter. -

Um, where is the proof? This is nothing more than hearsay. -

Wrong. The real world has no gods. Reality is real. Gods are the fallacies of weak minded fools. -
I have and there is nothing there. Mad Max will prove to be one thing and one thing only...a spoiler for both the Reform (cons) and Glibs. This may not be an entirely bad thing. Bad as he is, Trudeau is a devil I know compared to the deep blue and unknown sea Scheer represents.

But that is mere primitive dogma, not fact. -

1400 years of child and other abuse, murder rape, genocide, promoting wars in xianity alone is certainly a fine role model. -

Yah, right. Catholics, Baptists, JW's, all other versions of the cult have horrendous records in promotion of morals and ethics. Thousands of clergy accused and convicted of child rape and other abuse. Wars, rapes, genocides, mutilations, promoting hatred amongst groups and other religions amongst other crimes against humanity. It is very moral to deny that all these things have taken place and are taking place as you read this. Same goes for ethics. Try again. -

The point you seem to be obtuse about is human enjoyed morals and ethics long before religions started taking credit for what is an innate human trait. Hell, Chimps and Elephants show more morality and empathy than many religious cults. -
What a conundrum. Trudeau is a milquetoast and panders to the SJW and PC crowd. Singh is a national joke and mere place-holder in the NDP's never-to-end search for a "leader" (something they have never had) and then there is Scheer. Now, I have met and debated this shallow, hollow, feckless, excuse for a human and despair for Canada if he ever became PM. He is another Harper, without the charisma. What to do?

You don't know your bible, as is the case with the majority of xians. The bible is very much in favour of killing children; • "A pregnant woman who is injured and aborts the fetus warrants financial compensation only (to her husband), suggesting that the fetus is property, not a person (Exodus 21:22-25)." Read even more biblical passages encouraging the murder of babies and children...among others: https://ffrf.org/component/k2/item/25602-abortion-rights So get off your high horse. It is nobody's business what a woman does with her body. It is her business, Not yours. Not governments and certainly not the business of some organization promoting primitive superstitions.

Who has more control of our thinking; God or Satan?
Realitycheck replied to French Patriot's topic in Religion & Politics
In response to the thread title, neither. Both are entirely mythical. -
I have never understood why someone should be proud of something over which they had no control. Skin colour, place of birth etc. Smacks of an inbred sense of insecurity, which is of course, the very root of all racism regardless of the skin colour of said racist.

It is what one might expect from a demonstrated psychopath like Trump. He meets every single criteria here: http://www.minddisorders.com/Flu-Inv/Hare-Psychopathy-Checklist.html. As well, his propensity for denying what he said seconds ago, is a classic indicator he is well down Dementia Avenue. Rather than impeachment, he is in desperate need to a new wardrobe; a nice white coat, with extra long arms and lots of nice, shiny buckles.

The "power" of these stories merely points to the gullibility of millions of people regardless of which myth they choose to be fooled by. As I pointed out in earlier posts, mankind's moral framework has been well established and long before any of the currently popular mythologies became popular. Morals and ethics are inherent in the human psyche.
