In Canada, tons of things are considered hate speech that aren't government is all too eager to infringe on the rights of Canadians the current legislation sucks the government is not good at this job yet another reason it shouldn't be it's job

you can choose whether or not you want a gun I can choose whether or not I want a gun others can choose whether or not they want a gun I see no need for a one-size fits all answer people should be free to choose

the intersection between faith and reason the one whose reason best reinforces their faith and whose faith best reinforces their reason is closest to the truth faith checks reason and reason checks faith if we differ on who is closest to the truth then we differ it's about the journey not the destination you want to skip to the end but that isn't how it works the destination wouldn't be a meaningful pursuit if you just skip the journey and it was just handed to you on a silver platter the commitment to the struggle to pursue the higher goal is where the meaning lies if it wasn't difficult and the reward wasn't worth the effort you would simply take it for granted and find no deeper meaning in it

the rights are self evident there is no intermediary who can tell you what all your God given rights are that is not how it works you can discover the truth for yourself no need for anyone or anything between you and God to tell you otherwise I can tell you the conclusions that I have come to based on my observations and thoughts but I am a mere pilgrim I do not have anywhere close to all of the answers nor does anyone else myself and everyone else have come to some wrong conclusions and some right conclusions which is which is for you to determine on your own

God didn't give people different rights based on their nationality all men are created equal not just all men of a particular nationality

the right to keep and bear arms includes firearms but is not limited to firearms

Canadians won't elect politicians who don't want to not infringe on those rights they get what they vote for, the politicians are just pandering to that

sometimes you need guns to defend yourself Americans have that right Canadians are virtue signaling pacifist dummies who deny that reality

of course Canadians don't though they think only cops should have that right they're a bunch of sheep

the God inspired rights are God given legality is not morality plenty of things that are illegal are moral if the government opposes god given rights that doesn't reduce their importance that actually highlights it's importance

not a fan of the lockdowns either both are stupid ideas the lockdowns being more stupid doesn't make the vaccine passports a good idea

I am not making the argument that people should have the absolute freedom to do anything I am not making the argument that those type of restrictions aren't commonplace those are strawman I am making the argument that the restrictions being proposed are counterproductive and that they shouldn't be restricted drug prohibition is stupid vaccine mandates are stupid

hate speech should not be banned just because there is "no purpose for it" or you not liking the purpose for it it should be protected under the same justification in your first paragraph

and when they do so I oppose that same as when you want to take rights away

this all stems from render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's meaning that Caesar shouldn't infringe on God's territory and God shouldn't infringe on Caesar's territory that's where the idea for the separation of church and state comes from and the idea of limited government, because government shouldn't control or manage every aspect of life and some things are outside its purview, specifically what is God's, like rights for example you can't get to rights, without something being put above government authority, Christians believe that authority is God if government is the highest authority then they are mere privileges, not rights see how that works? see how that stems from God, through Jesus, then through the followers of Jesus, to the Constitutions they wrote, to you?

the people who took the ideas from the bible, to discover the idea of rights that should be protected from government infringement, were inspired by God to do so those who were not inspired by God, didn't discover the idea of constitutionally protected rights, until those who were, told them about it and the beliefs that underpined their logic directly or indirectly coming from God is besides the point if you cherish your rights, they came from God, one way or the other, the exact mechanism of that is mere minutae relative to that objective truth
