  1. At least Spring has actually sprung for a change, it's warm enough to cease winter operations, my mood tends to fluctuate with the weather now, this would be more demoralizing if it was thirty below with six feet of snow.
  2. Canadians are docile, they don't have those Town Meetings here where the locals threaten to hang the congressman from the nearest tree.
  3. People need the Yang Blang, right now, Washington seems keen to push money out the door, but Ottawa so far seems to think they can do this on the cheap
  4. Less is more, avoid becoming a casualty, maintain vigilance, so as not to add additional burden to the system, thus husbanding resources for the vulnerable and ill prepared Defensive Routine. Defend the hospitals by ensuring that you will not require their services. Defensive is boring, but that's when you have to be extra vigilant Home Guard, stand to, stand to.
  5. I'm not expecting hundreds of people to attack me, that was Boges' scenario. If you present me with a tactical scenario I will give you a combat estimate, Jew.
  6. So long as you go over the top when the whistle blows, all is forgiven. Go over the top again and again, and you're in the pantheon Nobody cares if you don't show up for PT after that, you put a battle honour on the colours, you're all living legends now.
  7. But that's the thing, my wife is fun, she's a ball of energy and light that keeps me from the darkness.
  8. I'm not hard up, I only care about my wife now because we've been together for over twenty years, when you start to get old, your priorities change, my wife is hot for her age, but it's more about constant companionship and growing old together now.
  9. Too young for me, at my age now, that's not a date, that's somebodies kid.
  10. I don't like jail, so like I say, I keep to myself to avoid trouble.
  11. Like I say, I'm a recluse. I already engage in Social Distancing, because I am apart from the "society", I'm dangerous and I scare people, so I just keep to myself to avoid trouble.
  12. I compartmentalize, there is the state sanctioned mass murderer me, he lives in a locked box, if I meet contact, he goes into action, otherwise, stand by, stand by.
  13. He's just a nice guy, whereas I am a misanthrope with a coal black heart.
  14. Army Guy is what we used to call an Infantry God Served multiple tours in two wars He's in the pantheon of the Royal Canadian Regiment I was just another face in the ranks.
  15. In this situation here I'm operating under American doctrine. Well Regulated Militia Take care of your own people and your neighbors, so that resources don't have to be diverted to us but rather to those who are far more vulnerable and ill prepared.
  16. One never leaves the regiment but feet first in a pine box, but all my qualifications are out of date, so they wouldn't call me up for operations I know lots of people though, including the Commanding Officer of the local regiment, if he needs civilian volunteers he can trust, he knows how to get ahold of me
  17. Doesn't bother me, I like geopolitical chess, I wanted to fight the Cold War, I joined for ideological reasons, to stand on the trace in the path of World War Three. I have no inhibitions about killing my ideological enemies, if the elites are going to enable that, so be it.
  18. Most of the stuff you do the public never sees nor hears of, the only people whose respect you crave are your peers, they are the only judges who matter.
  19. Snipers are highly analytical, they are constantly learning and improving, the confirmed kill is simply a battle damage assessment with an associated report.
  20. I've done my share of bashing civilians right into the hospital from down at the bars, so it all evens out in the end, I've gotten my pound of flesh many times over.
  21. Her Majesty defends the right, and we defend Her Majesty, so it's all good like that at the end of the day.
  22. It's no skin off my teeth, taxme is my bro, I know where he's coming from, but it's besides the point. Those of us who took the Queen's Schilling all had our own reasons for joining, but the reason we stayed in the end, was the brotherhood. It was a harsh realm, but that was what we wanted, we wanted to see the Elephant, and we went of our own free will. Legio Patria Nostra
  23. No doubt, but all the malaria drugs are kind of sketchy, with Plaquenil they don't even know how it works, but somehow it inhibits the malaria virus from breaking down red blood cells.
  24. When you become a soldier, you undertake of your own free will, to be an instrument of policy A human weapon system at the disposal of whichever sovereign you choose to swear solemn allegiance to. You sacrifice your freedom so that others do not have to, you put yourself in harms way, so others do not have to, you take personal responsibility for the defence of the body politic. Somebody has to do it, and those men are a brotherhood, closer to each other than their own families, it's not a burden to be one of the brothers, it's a privilege.
