If I have to leave my compound, I'll do all the safety precautions so I don't bring it back, I'll lock in and lock out But since I don't have to leave my compound for a long long time now, I'm just business as usual up in here, with the bonus that my is home, so it's staycation

Trump Vs Trudeau on Coronavirus
Dougie93 replied to WestCanMan's topic in Canada / United States Relations
I'm not paying much attention to that stuff now. I am in command of what I am in command of. I just focus on my mission and my men. Or wife in this case. All I already have my marching orders, I don't have to monitor that net until there is a change I don't take eyes off the threat, I'm not watching the POTUS I'm watching the bug. -
Ever since I retired and became a recluse, I stopped catching colds & flus, i was never a sickie to start off with, but I stopped catching them altogether Even when my wife catches them when she's traveling for work, I still don't catch them from her So if you just stay home, stay out of the hot zone, be reclusive, you wont catch it and you won't bring it home with you Basically just enjoy the staycation while it lasts

Trump Vs Trudeau on Coronavirus
Dougie93 replied to WestCanMan's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Big Daddy Trump is still President of Canada tho, he's only the Supreme Allied Commander of the United Kingdom -
See, here is an example of how it is a minefield A man in the US had symptoms of the flu, so he thought that was good, not Coronavirus But turns out it was Coronavirus, It was a cough plus nausea, bad flu, so he thought it was flu, but it was COVID He is not likely to die But his little girl has underlying conditions, And now he just has to wait and see if he infected her.

There a multiple strains, and you can catch them over and over, you don't have immunity even if you've had it already, and people are still spreading new virus The crisis is not going to be over until there is a safe & effective vaccine.

Did Trudeau Fail His Country On Covid-19
Dougie93 replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Doug Ford is running things here and he's doing a pretty good job Canada is leaderless and Trudeau is sidelined, but in reality, most of our relevant services are delivered by the province anyways, Canada itself, is just a boondoogle Trudeau wont take command, so each province is basically on its own -
I'll stick to my years of indoctrination training and experience as an infantryman, to include my CBRN instruction as to the nature of BSL3 pathogens, thanks If it turns out to be a false alarm, great But as this State of Emergency has conscripted me in effect, under national mobilization for biological warfare, I am fully operational as to the war effort right now The Prime Minister is not a serious person and he is not a military operator, so he has no clue what he's doing, and that's why he's failing to get command of the situation He is not taking command to fight the de facto war, so Canada is essentially leaderless at this time I however, am an American, and we are at war, so I simply carry on behind the lines here with Foreign Internal Defense of Canada, as our de facto protectorate

Nobody gets out of life alive, indeed, but there is a difference between being prepared to die for Her Majesty, and eager I was a soldier, this is the battlefield, and it is a minefield It's not even about me, I'm protecting my wife, I'm not letting her prance around in a minefield, and if I go out into it I could bring the mine home with me as a bomb
-
My duty is to protect my wife This is a Bio Safety Level 3 Pathogen So I have my wife at DEFCON 1 at this time If it turns out to be a false alarm ; praise the Lord
-
To put it in perspective, 40,000 Canadian troops served in Afghanistan, 150 killed; is a 0.3% death rate The death rate for infections in Italy right now is 9.5% This is not an overseas military adventure, this is a real war
-
The saving grace right now is that the bug is not hunting children But to watch middle aged people out their prancing around in a fog of it, is like watching people dancing in a minefield
-
The Super Cold is insidious, this is the reason it goes all the way down to the Bio Safety Level 3 These sorts of bugs are not kept in the Supermax, but they are kept in the jail right next door
-
Don't anticipate contact, just live in the now There's no sense trying to look through the fog of war Just let it come and execute the immediate action upon contact Otherwise, war is boring So you have to make it fun Embrace the suck, enjoy the little things, clean sheets, hot showers, warm pussy

Oh I don't expect it to be the Doomsday Bug, there is a non zero chance, but don't anticipate contact, stay loose All I'm saying is, I'm pacing myself for a long war, because wars always last longer than people expected they would at the beginning -
To wit, the RCR Battleschool is life altering, once you pass through the gates, you can never go back
-
A lot of guys who off themselves when they leave the army do it because they can't handle going back to the drudgery of bourgeois life They get addicted to this shit, and when they can't have it anymore, they spiral into depression
-
Live in the now like there is no tomorrow, you're never truly living it, until you do Two way range mortal peril, is actually liberating This is how we infantrymen get addicted to this shit
-
So a New Jersey man has been charged with terrorism for coughing on another person Even if you're not spooked by the bug, this is the main reason to hunker down : to avoid the government when the government is in an hysterical panic
-
The Super Cold is actually diabolical by nature, just like its cousin the Common Cold We can't actually stop the Common Cold, not in million years have we figured it out yet This bug is that, except we have no built immunity against it like we do with its cousin

The economy will not be destroyed unless you lose the war, you must defend against the enemy as the highest priority, people whining in the ranks about it, you just ignore them -

This is really just the 1920's all over again Trump is Warren G. Harding. Return to Normalcy. Hawley-Smoot Then it was in reaction to the Bolheviks and the crisis for the farmers with the onset of the Industrial Age Now it is reactionary to the Progressives and the ones needing protection are the industrial workers with the onset of the Information Age Trump is just a vehicle for protectionism, the Neoliberals wouldn't do it, so they lost their seat to Warren G. Trump -

All he did was steal the Democrats old platform of protectionism to prop up the unions in the rust belt, that's how he won The Democrats ignored the industrial blue collars and it cost them -

This is just going to be the Great Canadian Bailout Which will be done on the cheap People wont starve, but they won't spend neither so it will continue crashing This will be similar to the crash in 2008 in America, except incited by the virus rather than a credit crisis Ontario's debt will explode and so will Canada's But that's war, the first duty of a state is to protect life, not the economy -
Yeah, my parents moved us to Toronto in 78' Glenn Gould's Toronto the Good My wife is not a Toronto girl, she's from Halton, so she refused to live in Toronto long term By this point Toronto was getting annoying anyways, and you don't get the bang for your buck, everybody is house poor, even the rich Also it's a boom & bust world and the booms & busts are getting bigger, so after the last one I decided to move out of the dense urban jungle
