There are real bad things going on down there, like so many people being murdered every day. But isn't every murder an atrocity. I think all of the 19,000 murders a year are one, not just ones where white land barons are killed by the serfs they don't pay.

It also ignores the hostile relations between farmers and the workers and people not being paid or ripped off and that being the main reason behind the murders, not race. Then add on the fact we are talking a high crime country, with many homicides, we realize whites are not persecuted in SA, but actually, highly privileged, they are far less likely to be killed than the average SA, as in even if the homicide rate for white farmers increased 10 times, it would still be lower than that of blacks. And there is much more public documentation of whites being murdered as most whites have access to a phone and internet to ge ttheir story out where most black saffers do not. When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

Blacks own less than 4% of the land despite being in excess of 80% of the population. SA also has no minimum wage, and most of the farm murders, are actually farmers killing farm workers or revenge killings like in the case of Eugene Terreblanche (he called 2 farm workers (blacks) and was later killed by a farm worker (also black and a distant relative of the man he killed) and he is white). Notice there is actually no white people doing any farming, they simply own the land but don't actually perform any farming work, they never had. What this is really is a system of serfdom. Now factor in that most white SA are wealthy compared to their poor African counterparts and live in gated wealthy communities like Sandton where blacks cannot even gain access to, even if they wanted to. Most whites in SA do not live on farms but in subdivisions like on the right, and most blacks live in apartheid era townships with no electricity or running water like on the left. If you look at the picture closely, you'll realize that the African townships don't even have roads, because they are all so poor, none of them even own cars or have access to public transit, so their mobility is severely restricted. This whole misinformation about genocide is being spread by opponents of minimum wage (mainly white land owners and mine owners and whites who don't want to have to pay their domestic workers who fold their bed sheets, wash their clothes, clean their house, etc.) The current government is trying to bring in a minimum wage and reform the land distribution so that this type of serf-lord relationship ends. They want the serf like workers to be able to own their own land so that they can unlock wealth in the country. However this will close the wealth gap and erase the advantage that the Lord class has. The Lord class also tends to be mostly white due to apartheid although their are wealthy Africans as well who are siding with them because they want to exploit poor people. Hence they are getting desperate and playing any card to try to stop the reforms, mainly because they are more interested in having one over the serf like workers than actually moving the nation forward.

South Africa has 19,000 murders a year, there are almost 5 million whites in South Africa, and less than 100 farm murders every year. Compare that to Toronto which has in the same range of murders, less than 100 a year, but with half the population (2.5 million in Toronto). In otherwords, farm murders are incredibly rare even by Canadian standards in what is an otherwise high crime nation. Now add on the fact that not all farm murders are of white farmers and most of the farm murders are actually committed by white farmers onto each other or their farm workers (like Eugene Terreblanche) over disputes of land ownership and pay, I am surprised the murder rate is not much higher. If this is a genocide, it has to be the slowest genocide on the planet and it is not a particularly effective genocide because far more people from the majority population are being killed off than in the white population. This posts makes no sense. In an highly regulated market, you are not going to buy more bypass surgeries. In a no regulation market, you aren't going to buy more bypass surgery. You are only getting it, if you need it. You entire claim was based on a false premise that a free market healthcare system drops the cost of eye surgery faster. It doesn't. In fact US has the highest healthcare cost of any nation, and its not even in the top 10 of healthcare.

Actually it does, its called supply and demand have elasticity. Elective surgeries are highly elastic, one can delay it. Mandatory surgeries are inelastic, you need it so you must pay whatever the price is. When you have an elastic demand which increases when the price drops, more people jump in. If you lower the price of a bypass surgery, you won't get a whole lot more people realizing they have heart attacks and paying for the surgery. However, if you lower the price of an elective procedure like breast implants, alot more people will do it.

Good question, in the case of blacks they were forced here in chains by whites to build the country, in the case of natives, they were already here.
