The whole business is hopelessly complex, because clothes are a sort of message-code with different groups meaning different things. Females dress 'sexy' to attract (presumably) males they fancy, where as silly males regard this as a general message, permission to rape or some sort of droit de senieur for bossmen, bossy persons in schools love to tell students what to wear, almost all girls in their early teens want to look sexy without considering the consequences because it's a way of growing up. We're just a silly species, if you ask me. I had to wear a cap when I was in school, but I grew enough hair to hide it altogether unless some teacher made a thing of it, at which point it was revealed.
