You are the one who is in serious need of help. I am comparing one country's standard of living with another country's. It doesn't matter what their political system is. Most countries in the world are dictatorships of one kind or another. If Canada is falling below a Communist country or they are moving ahead of us, then we know we are in big trouble. We have the wrong kind of people leading our governments if it is getting that bad. Seriously, give your head a shake.

One website says the median salary in China is $3855 USD. It also says the average monthly salary in China is $4255 USD. What’s the average salary in China in 2024? (timedoctor.com) Another website says: "In 2024, the average salary in China has been steadily increasing across various sectors. The average monthly salary in the country is around 8,452 CNY (Chinese Yuan) or approximately 1,330 USD." Average salary in China (talentup.io) Something is wrong here. This is a vastly different number than the other website. Who is correct?

If it is true that the average person in China, a Communist dictatorship, has a better standard of living than the average Canadian, we are in serious trouble. But I am not sure my figures are correct. It doesn't really make much sense. Can it be possible that the average Chinese person has a better standard of living than the average Canadian? Why can't we be compared to other countries including Communist countries? Are you nuts?

I will say I don't know how accurate the information I found on a search engine is, but it does seem to be saying the average person in China has a better standard of living than the average Canadian. I am not sure how to verify that. It does sound incorrect, but I am not sure. If it is true, it is a sad commentary on our governments in Canada. They have failed Canadians.
-
Yes, seriously, it just proves how bad Canada has become under our governments. When a Communist country like China has a better standard of living than Canada, we know we are in serious trouble. Do you have the ability to see there is a serious problem here? You don't even believe you have a problem. You are so obsessed against God and the Bible, your mental function does not allow you to discuss anything in a normal way.

This is really hard to understand. Rent in China is a fraction of what it is in Canada. The average monthly wage in China is about $4,214 USD. This seems quite high to me, but this what a search engine reveals. Yet the rent in China is between $100 and $900 per month. This is a small percentage of the average monthly income in China. I know of a Canadian who is working in China and his rent is $550 per month and $50 for utilities for a total of $600 per month. Many Canadians are now paying thousands of dollars per month in rent, a large percentage of their monthly income. I believe food price are lower in China as well. Restaurant prices are lower for meals and I believe there is no tipping. The only explanation I can think of is the governments in Canada are really shafting Canadians. They are totally mismanaging things and causing much higher prices for everything. Why is there such a housing shortage in Canada? We have a very large geographical area with a relatively small population. Yet real estate prices in some areas are outrageous. My own view is federal and provincial governments have messed up things so badly that the economy and prices of land and real estate is completely wrecked. I don't know if there is a way out of this mess.

This was perhaps a couple years ago. So nothing can be done now. Also, when you are waiting for care yourself, you don't want to stir up anything that might lead to a bad reaction. I doubt very much asking at the time would have accomplished anything. I am sure they have stock answers all ready to give anybody. They don't care what anybody thinks or says. They also have directives that were given them from higher ups.

Was anybody killed or anything destroyed by the Cold War? Why would anyone in their right mind want a nuclear war and perhaps destroy mankind as we know it? Did you know NATO and the U.S. is not allowing Ukraine to do whatever it wants against Russia? Do you know why? I guess not. You live in your own bubble and don't have any understanding of the world.

"OTTAWA — An NDP MP tabled a bill Thursday seeking to change the Criminal Code to criminalize downplaying, denying or condoning the harms of residential schools in Canada. Leah Gazan, who represents Winnipeg Centre, presented her private member’s bill on Monday, less than a week before the country is set to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, meant to honour residential schools survivors and their families." NDP MP tables bill seeking to criminalize residential school 'denialism' (msn.com) These people don't have a clue about basic freedoms. Much of the residential school claims have been false and some of it is purely subjective or speculation. Canadians have a right to their opinions. The NDP should definitely not be in Parliament. They fit more in Cuba or Russia.

He wasn't in an emergency. He was relaxing and enjoying playing on his smart phone. There is a bit of difference between someone waiting six hours while a guy like that gets in in 20 minutes. You are so opposed to everything I say simply because you are brainwashed by the woke left progressives and liberal ideology and believe blindly that they could never be wrong. I suspect you spent years in a radical union and were brainwashed by the constant propaganda which made you a radical unionist and believer in leftist ideology. Never learned any real truth from the Bible or social conservatism.

You know there is good and evil. Your conscience tells you that. Man has known good and evil ever since Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden. As a result of Adam and Even eating the forbidden fruit, they fell out of their good relationship with God and received a corrupt fallen nature which is passed on to everyone. That is why you have a sinful fallen nature. You might deny there is such a thing as good and evil but that is because you have been deceived by your corrupt fallen nature and Satan. But our consciences tell us much of what is good and what is evil. " 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. " Romans 1:19-21 KJV So man has a darkened, foolish heart by nature. The only way out of that is to believe in and read the Bible, in English, the King James Bible (1611) and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Without doing that one will remain an unredeemed and unsaved sinner.

"Both the ungodly and their wickedness are equally detestable to the Almighty Creator. What they create will be punished along with its maker. That’s why even the idols of the Gentiles will face judgment because these creations have become an abomination in the Almighty Creator’s sight. These idols lead people astray and become traps or stumbling blocks for the souls of men, causing the foolish to stumble." The Folly Of Idolatry And Its Consequences - Bible Study Ministry Making lakes and other things persons with rights is a form of idolatry. Not only is it a lie, but it destroys the natural order of things. Man was given dominion over nature and this destroys that concept. It is a return to pre-settlement days of aboriginal heathen worship of Mother Nature.

The fact is the Trudeau government is shafting Canadians with their war on climate change which includes diminishing and eventually phasing out the oil and gas industry. This will cost the economy big time. It will mean the loss of thousands of good-paying jobs. A Saskatchewan study has found that the federal government's assault on the energy industry will really hurt Saskatchewan. Many in Sask. are prepared to resist and oppose the feds in every way possible. Saskatchewan report says proposed federal oil and gas cap would cause economic damage | Watch (msn.com)

Of course there is good and evil. It is all around you if you open your eyes. The clear evidence of God is also all around you, again if you open your eyes. He created everything. As for talking to God, that was explained in my posting on knowing God. You too can know God if you have read the Bible and receive faith. I will repeat the posting here: quote God is absolutely knowable. This article explains it. "Within all of us there exists a strong desire to be known and to know others. The most important Person to know is our Creator. In fact, Jesus taught that eternal life is not just a span of time; it is a relationship: “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3). The key to truly knowing God is found in what God has revealed about Himself in the Bible. He wants to be known (see Acts 17:27). The problem is our sinfulness. We are all sinful (Romans 3), and we fall short of the standard of holiness required to commune with God. We have “changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things." Romans 1:23 KJV So, in order to truly know God, we must first acknowledge our sin and repent of it (see Acts 3:19). In turning from sin, we must turn to Jesus Christ, the only Savior from sin. In Jesus alone is salvation (Acts 4:12). We receive Jesus by faith: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12 KJV Jesus’ death and resurrection provided for the forgiveness of our sin, and He alone is the way to a personal knowledge of God: “6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 KJV Jesus revealed to us who God is, so in knowing God we must look to Jesus: “he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?” (John 14:9–10; cf. John 17:6). Every work that Jesus did was in obedience to the Father in heaven (John 5:19). Every word Jesus spoke was straight from the Father (John 12:49). To know God, we must know Jesus. Another key ingredient in truly knowing God is reading the Bible, God’s Word. In the Bible we have God’s revelation of His character, His promises, and His will. It is through the Bible that we know that God is "a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth" Psalm 86:15 KJV It is through the Bible that we know that God is a "God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:" Deuteronomy 10:17 KJV It is through the Bible that we know that God is "17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. " 1 Timothy 1:17 KJV Truly knowing God also comes through our commitment to obey what we read in the Scriptures. We were saved unto good works (Ephesians 2:10), and, as we obey the Lord, we become part of God’s plan of continuing to reveal Himself to the world. We are salt and light on this earth (Matthew 5:13–14), designed to bring God’s flavor to the world and to serve as a shining light in the midst of darkness. Jesus Himself placed the greatest importance on loving God with all we are and loving our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–40). These are the keys to truly knowing God. Of course, those who know God will also be committed to prayer, fellowship with other believers, sincere worship, and walking in the Spirit. Jesus taught His disciples about the Holy Spirit, contrasting the world’s ignorance of Him with the disciples’ knowledge: “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." John 14:17 KJV. It is through the Spirit of God: “15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: " Romans 8:15, 16 KJV Through Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit, our lives can be filled with God, and we can experience the joy of truly knowing Him." We waited six hours and my wife did have some pain. This guy waited about 20 minutes and didn't appear to be in any pain or emergency. All things being roughly equal in urgency, but you don't see any difference between someone having to wait six hours and watch someone get in after 20 minutes. The only explanation I can see is the NDP policy of getting natives in fast to placate the complaints of discrimination. Ever heard of people taking their turn based on who arrived first, providing there is no special emergency?
-
I believe this was true for at least years now in B.C. I took my wife to the ER. We waited six hours to be seen. During that time a young native man came in and was playing on his smart phone in the waiting room. He was taken in to be treated after waiting about 20 minutes. That tells it all. Bizarre how some on here sound like they would be ok with a nuclear holocaust even if it would destroy much or most life on earth. Totally ignorant of the real world. Talk is cheap. Nice to sound tough when you think you are safe in mommy's basement on the computer.
-
So you would be ok with a WW3? You say bring it on. A nuclear holocaust would mean the end of probably much or most life on earth. You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Not very bright to want to escalate into world war 3. It takes more intelligence to avoid a major war than it does to start one.

The political system is not ignoring environmental problems. There are tons of regulations around the environment, logging, mining, protecting land with park preserves, etc. In fact the regulations are too extreme in many cases. It can take ten years or more to get approval for resource extraction. The government is also over reaching in many areas such as the energy industry. They also over reached in imposing a carbon tax on the population which does nothing for the environment but does reduce the standard of living of everyone. We also have systems in place that divide the garbage for recycling, organic and the garbage dump. Everyone is forced to do that by government and must pay for all of the infrastructure with taxes. Bible belief is not illiterate. The Bible reveals how God created everything. We did not just appear out of nowhere by a chemical accident. If you want to believe that nonsense, that is your choice. But there is true science which is empirical science proven by the scientific method and then there is false science which we have heard a lot of, which is nothing but speculation and has no proof to back it up. That is not science.

Make Lake Winnipeg a legal 'person' with Constitutional rights, Manitoba chiefs ask court The lawsuit says Lake Winnipeg, one of the world's largest, has a spirit and is alive but is suffering Author of the article: The Canadian Press Bob Weber Published Sep 19, 2024 • Last updated 3 days ago • 3 minute read 115 Comments Lake Winnipeg has problems with algae, E. coli bacteria and invasive species, as swell as a decline in fish, wildlife and vegetation, the lawsuit claims. Photo by Postmedia/File Article content WINNIPEG — A court has been asked to declare Lake Winnipeg a person with constitutional rights to life, liberty and security of person in a case that may go further than any other in trying to establish the rights of nature in Canada. “It really is that simple,” said Grand Chief Jerry Daniels of the Manitoba Southern Chiefs’ Organization, which filed the suit Thursday in Court of King’s Bench in Winnipeg. “The lake has its own rights. The lake is a living being.” The argument is being used to help force the provincial government to conduct an environmental assessment of how Manitoba Hydro regulates lake levels for power generation. Those licences come up for renewal in August 2026, and the chiefs argue that the process under which those licences were granted was outdated and inadequate. They quote Manitoba’s Clean Environment Commission, which said in 2015 that the licences were granted on the basis of poor science, poor consultation and poor public accountability. Meanwhile, the statement of claim says “the (plaintiffs) describe the lake’s current state as being so sick that she is dying.” It describes a long list of symptoms. Fish species have disappeared, declined, migrated or become sick and inedible, the lawsuit says. Birds and wildlife including muskrat, beavers, duck, geese, eagles and gulls are vanishing from the lake’s wetlands. Foods and traditional medicines — weekay, bulrush, cattail, sturgeon and wild rice — are getting harder to find, the document says, and algae blooms and E. coli bacteria levels have increased. unquote Make Lake Winnipeg a legal 'person' with rights: Manitoba chiefs lawsuit | National Post This is a very clever move by the Manitoba Chiefs. Many liberal and left politicians will buy into this idea because they are illiterate on the Biblical truth about the place of man in the world and the false, heathen religion of animism or pantheism. Aboriginal beliefs were historically centered around the idolatry of animism. " Animism (from Latin: anima meaning 'breath, spirit, life')[1][2] is the belief that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence.[3][4][5][6] Animism perceives all things—animals, plants, rocks, rivers, weather systems, human handiwork, and in some cases words—as being animated, having agency and free will.[7] Animism is used in anthropology of religion as a term for the belief system of many Indigenous peoples[8] in contrast to the relatively more recent development of organized religions.[9] Animism is a metaphysical belief which focuses on the supernatural universe: specifically, on the concept of the immaterial soul.[10] Although each culture has its own mythologies and rituals, animism is said to describe the most common, foundational thread of indigenous peoples' "spiritual" or "supernatural" perspectives. The animistic perspective is so widely held and inherent to most indigenous peoples that they often do not even have a word in their languages that corresponds to "animism" (or even "religion").[11] The term "animism" is an anthropological construct." Animism - Wikipedia The Manitoba Chiefs know that this will be a very useful way to gain more control over what they claim as their "traditional territory". Now with the Manitoba Premier being a FN person, they likely believe that he will also work in their favour as he is one of them. What the Premier actually believes about this I don't know. Just how this will play out with the court is another concern. Is the court going to fall for this argument? Animism is also easily hidden behind the claim of FN culture and today it is a big belief system with environmentalists as well. I should point out not all FN people are animists today and some are Bible-believing Christians. I would think the Christians are a small minority, just as in many groups and societies. The big danger in this is it is dragging man backward into pagan or heathen systems of government. The historical Judeo-Christian belief has been based on the Bible truth that God created man in his own image and gave man dominion over everything on the earth. This was unknown by the aboriginals until the arrival of the European founding people and Christian missionaries who brought the word of God to "Turtle Island". "26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. " Genesis 1: 26-28 KJV Trying to change Canada's political system to legally follow animism is a huge step backward into darkness if it succeeds.
