What "unwanted opinion" are you talking about? The latest bombshell is the reported opinion of a guy by the name of Donald Trump.

You apparently don't, based on what you're saying. Yes the investigation goes on. That does not change the fact Comey was the investigator and was fired, and if Trump did in fact say what he is reported to have in an Oval Office meeting, the firing is clearly obstruction. It matters not a whit in law, that the firing didn't actually stop the investigation.

You don't understand obstruction apparently. Trump has the authority to fire the head of the FBI no doubt. Doing it to stop an investigation involving Trump is a whole different matter.

I'm sure he does and it's now a matter of the courts subpoenaing them to confirm what he said. I suspect there must be some folks close to him who want him gone. The NY Times didn't go to the WH to find this story, it must have come to them.

Except, and for the umpteenth time, his approach to solving this particular problem may well be illegal, and impeachable.

It's not simply that Trump fired Comey, it's WHY he fired him. And if he had enough sense to just fire him and keep his mouth shut he wouldn't be in the trouble he's in currently. But Trump quite obviously hasn't that kind of sense.

I think if you understood the news a little better you would obviously see it's Trump who keeps getting himself in trouble. Or do you like a good conspiracy theory such as perhaps the Ny Times simply made up this latest memo that was leaked? You know, the one that Sean Spicer does not deny.

The Democrats didn't fire the head of the FBI. That was Trump. And as the evidence continues to mount that he did it to stop Comey's investigation of the Trump/Russia connection, there is your obstruction.

I think who's feeling "the pain" right now is the Republican party. (and perhaps yourself since you seem to be a supporter)
