  1. I simply replied to your comments regarding actual work backgrounds. And it seems your debating skills begin with a "Holy F", and proceed to "woozy wazzy" Now let me ask, did you perhaps study English at University of Calgary?
  2. And luckily we seem to have moved beyond that hoary old fairy tale. Although we still seem to be plagued somewhat by it. The fossils got all excited last week when oil hit $40 for a few minutes before falling back.
  3. Trudeau actually taught school. Harper worked in the mailroom.
  4. Right. Well I guess he did get one in...just in time for the lawsuits to start. Hope you are happy about paying the lawyers fees.
  5. And how are those lawsuits going?
  6. We came through it in large part because we had controls against sub prime mortgages which killed the US economy at the time. And where does it rank, #10? And the rest of the question you ignored is, what experience did he apply his degree to? Answer: 0.
  7. Not sure what point it is you are trying to make. The reality is Harper accomplished virtually nothing with regard to moving fossils by pipeline, mostly because he tried to ignore everyone who had skin in the game such as provinces, first nations, environmentalists etc. Perhaps under the new leadership some of those ideas may be successfully revisited, and once again, lets have a look to the future. Unless you want to continue polluting the atmosphere burning sludge at $35 a barrel.
  8. The US is closely following the EU on renewables. The largest solar power production facility on the planet is in Cal. Obviously you can't just close the tap on fossils next Monday. But the smart money is heading toward sooner rather than later. Unless you are simply a fossil.
  9. Well we have seen what that so called economics degree did for our economy didn't we. Oh and BTW, where did his degree come from? University of Calgary...not exactly renowned for it's economic acumen. And what work did Harper ever do to expand his knowledge of the subject? Answer: zero. At least Justin spent time in front of a classroom. Most recently at a university in the US during his state dinner visit.
  10. Which projects was that he pushed through?
  11. His uncle got him a job in the mail room at Imperial Oil. So fair enough. Trudeau actually qualified as a teacher and worked in that profession. Who knows which of those are the best prerequisites for, especially the lead job, in politics. But I know what my pick is.
  12. At least you looked up your phrase choice. Apparently you don't seem to see how inappropriate it was/is. Why would I detest Obama again?
  13. And you began your interest in history when?
  14. Which is why we will very likely build energy east after the NEB approves it. So that will make the score Trudeau 1, Harper nil. But at the same time it's very positive that the eco crowd has some power as well as a lot of sense.
  15. I suppose if the offender requests it there may be some merit to proceeding. I still question the effectiveness, but it's not really atop my agenda of things to research, so I will admit my ignorance.
  16. Correct, we are not a one trick pony. And so we are better off with a government that doesn't focus on "one trick".
  17. It has been shown over and over that sexual abuse is not so much driven by sexual desire as it is by an abnormal need to control. That desire emanates from the brain, not from the groin.
  18. And where was his first job? And how did he get it?
  19. And that "method" displays total ignorance as to what drives sex offenses. Cutting appendages off offenders is kind of like Sharia law cutting the hands off people who steal something. Lets not go there.
  20. Ah, so you do see then that Trump is a racist and a xenophobe. OK, I have made my point.
  21. Perhaps some of the incompetence began with the idea you may have heard of to do with all the eggs in the fossil fuel basket that Mr. Harper pursued. He is from Alberta so I guess that's a good enough excuse in some minds.
  22. And while you're at it, make damn sure no prisoner ever gets rehabilitated before they return to the street.
  23. If the rich countries of the world fail to show leadership on the issue, the poorer ones will simply thumb their noses and shovel more coal on the fire. If you've ever been to say, small town Scotland at this time of year you'd get the picture of why this is important.
  24. Can you begin to comprehend what self flagellation means? I suspect our green credentials as you call them are the exact opposite. Taking a step toward the future I think makes a lot of Canadians more hopeful than staying stuck in the sludge.
