Canada Needs Direct Election Of The Prime Minister
Exegesisme replied to Exegesisme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Making the party more of value, less of an organization of power. Let us define a party as a group of people who share the same value, and the members are more freely to change their membership among various party. Making amendment of the Constitution to clearly protect the rights of citizens.- 195 replies

I admire your concept of "a more multi-party republic style democracy", and your first point, and we also need to make the republic style in progress. I think the functions of 2 and 3 should be put together, one person is enough, as the President of USA. Maybe the Queen and a Queen-system are needed to represent our tradition.- 195 replies

Traditionally, you are right. No matter what name you use, the reality is that our Canadian federal politics needs to be improved. I hope that you can make your proposal in this direction. I have another reason to use the name PM, this can avoid any change related to the position of Queen. And especially in the direction future-directed, we may need to create something new to try to avoid all sorts of issues from various traditions.- 195 replies

Exegesisme replied to Exegesisme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes to your first paragraph. According to the definition of republic, "A republic is a representative democracy with a written constitution of basic rights that protect the minority from being completely unrepresented or overridden by the majority.", Canada is a republic now, but at low level. My reason is that "the Charter only states these rights and freedoms in very general terms", and "their precise meaning is interpreted and clarified by the Canadian judiciary (and, in particular, the Supreme Court of Canada)."(6) An elected PM is the goodest to create a stable government for its term, and at the same time, releases the freedom of MPs in the House of Commons for representative function and legislative function. We should aim at the goodest for the Canadian future.- 195 replies

Economic Volatility In A Four Decades Period And Life Holism
Exegesisme replied to Exegesisme's topic in Business and Economy
All human behaviors on my opinion are for their hopes, their expectations, their aims, and their goals, so are future-directed on my opinion, or final cause-directed on the philosophy of Aristotle. Super-applied is vs super sensed, and super-sensed is the function of meditation, so super-applied meditation means that the meditation is not pure meditation or super-sensed meditation, but for the super application of the super sensation in jobs or careers of my style of meditation-learners. I believe that the science and technology of future-directed super-applied-meditation will reshape human themselves which include reshaping human morality and ethics and considerably improving human understanding, and in turn reshape all aspects of human being, which include the human knowledge and human economy. Therefore, the future-directed super-applied-meditation in my expectation will play a major role to help economy jump out of its present trap and drive the next big economic cycle.- 2 replies

Canada Needs Direct Election Of The Prime Minister By Exegesisme On studying the House of Commons(1), I proposed eight reforming directions of the federal politics on the eight weaknesses I had found in my study(2). On continuing study and deep thinking(1)(3), I found that there is a rather large proportion of federal politics that is unconstitutional(4), Canada needs to reconstitute(5). Although "the predominant role and influence played by the Prime Minister of Canada both in Cabinet and in the executive branch in general"(6), and "the subordinate position of the practice of responsible government"(6) are not for formally written in any constitutional document, they are seen as a part of constitution as "regularly observed" "unwritten conventions" (6). Although "the Constitution provides for a broad set of individual rights and freedoms, most of which are stated in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms"(6), "the Charter only states these rights and freedoms in very general terms", and "their precise meaning is interpreted and clarified by the Canadian judiciary (and, in particular, the Supreme Court of Canada)."(6) In practice of the Constitution of Canada, "the predominant role and influence played by the Prime Minister" is highly over "the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms", which are still "in very general terms", and "their precise meaning" are waiting to be "interpreted and clarified by the Canadian judiciary". Such a strong power on such a weak people! This actuality makes even the MPs in the House of Commons to give up their freedom and their responsive duty to the power of the Prime Minister system and the potential Prime Minister system(1). For the central position and the publicity of the House of Commons, the practice in the house of Commons would highly likely paly crucial role in reshape the whole nation of Canada. The passion, initiative and creativity of the Canadian people are seized by the unreasonable concentration of the power of the Prime Minister. However, in another aspect, in the present arrangement of the Constitution, we see that the Prime Minister needs to concentrate the power as possible as she or he can for both the legislative role and the executive role of the Prime Minister. If the prime minister is not strong enough to get the support of the majority in the House of Commons, her or his government would resign, which increases the instability of the politics and makes less prediction of future. Therefore, Canada needs the direct election of the Prime Minister, which endows the power to the Prime Minister and makes the power of the executive branch independent of the legislative branch, and makes the Government of Canada more sustainable and predictable. And in the legislative branch, the MPs and Senators(in future as they are elected) enjoy more freedom to represent their constituents from the policy of their party. For this reason, we need to amend the Constitution. A Loving Story By The Four Greatest Emperors Of Qing Dynasty By Exegesisme The Dream Of Red Palace in my translation, which is usually translated as Dream of the Red Chamber, is apparently a loving story, which implies both dream-meditation and Qing history. Until now, no one in recording realizes the authors of this story properly because of many reasons. I may be the person who knows the authors most for I share the experience of dream-meditation with the authors. I also share the experience of the bible study with the authors, and there are also plentiful records in Bible about dream-meditation. I hope that I have enough time to introduce this great loving story piece by piece to my readers. This loving story is not usual loving story, the most major characters is of the same person, the first emperor of the four. Beyond him, the fourth emperor made the second contribution to this story, the second emperor made the third contribution, and the third emperor made the least contribution.

Economic Volatility In A Four Decades Period And Life Holism By Exegesisme As I see back to 1929, 1969, and 2009, there is a clear economic period of four decades. Economy escaped from the first and grew again on demand of WWII and the rebuilding and population fast increasing after WWII. Economy escaped from the second trap and returned to growth on Reagan's economy and the develop of the information technology. And now the economy has been being in its third big trap in the recent one hundred years, what will help it escape from this trap? To my expectation, I believe the future-directed super-applied-meditation will play a major role. The FDSAM technic will be possible applied to every major area of human business in the following half century, and human being as a whole will be the first time to know what is being done and the meaning of it. In the Grace of God, and by the advantage of information, at first human being will learn the fact of human holism, and then learn life holism. The life holism, is a concept I cast, means to see all lives from the beginning four billion years ago to now as an experience of one life, I named her a Chinese name 渌,a word with three parts: 氵vapor 彐snow and 氺water. The 渌 now as a whole is in front of the climate change, and each specific species is seen as a cell in this whole life, and no species can escape from the self-change to fit the change of the climate.

My Account Of One God-ism, Polytheism and Monotheism By Exegesisme I believe there is the perfect one and the only perfect one God, and Trinity is a form of the perfect one and the only perfect one God, and there are other forms too. At the beginning of human faith, the same God revealed the same message to each relatively isolated human community to help their understanding and living. Each relatively isolated community received the same message with their specific understanding in their specific set of living conditions. And at this time, each human community had only one God, but expressed in different names, which meant not only the same message from God, and also meant the specific understanding and the specific set of living conditions of each human community. I call faith at this level as one God-ism. My idea is proved by "many scholars, though, find evidence for early forms of monotheism not influenced by the Hebrew biblical tradition."(1) In the grace of the perfect one and the only perfect one God, some relatively isolated human community developed, and communicated each other. At their level of understanding then, they took different name as different thing, so they began to believe there were many different Gods and Goddess. This stage is already well known. "The ancient Egyptians believed in a lot of gods. Stories told about them tell that they directly control natural phenomena such as rain or drought. Although terrifying, Egyptians depict them as beings that guide the humans in their everyday lives. The gods have the power but also frail because they also feel emotions like we do."(2) In the grace of the perfect one and the only perfect one God, the ability of human understanding farther developed. Now we can see this development in history. "In the history of their religion, a pharaoh named Akhenaten emerged and radically changed their religious beliefs. Their religion at that time focused on one god called Aten, or the disk of the sun. Akhenaten occupied himself much with religion that he forgot his responsibilities to his country, such as good governance and management of their economy. This made him infamous towards the people and thus, by the end of his reign, the next pharaoh restored the old traditions of Egypt."(2) The following story is well known too, that is Moses who in the grace of the perfect one and the only perfect one God, created the monotheism, which had become the mainstream of human faith. 1) The rankings show education in Canada is an issue from eyes on top, do you agree? 2) "In the United States and the United Kingdom, for example, representatives enjoy considerably more freedom from their parties. Canadian MPs, however, are expected to follow the direction set by their parties' leadership and caucus — even when that direction is in opposition to their views or the demands of their constituents". In the House, the constitutional freedom of MPs and representative function are pressed by party politics and party discipline, do you agree? 3) If the MPs can not represent their own willingness in the House, then how do they represent their constituents? If they can not represent both, why do we the people need them, and need the House? 4) the constitutional freedom is fundamental not only for MPs in the House, but also for each of Canadian citizens, do you agree? 5) "Unwritten constitutional convention holds that this authority is actually exercised by the Prime Minister and his/her Cabinet." If the pressure on constitutional fundamental freedom is also sourced of the constitution, we the people should ask for reconstitution, should we? 6) If the constitution can not prevent the actual federal politics presses the constitutional freedom of the MPs in the House, then how can the constitution prevent other forces press the constitutional freedom of each member of the people? 7) the constitutional freedom is fundamental for all other benefits of the people that include but not limit to the progress of higher education system, if the constitutional freedom of Canadian people is considerably less than other peoples, it is reasonable that the space for other benefits is also considerably less. 8) If only one or few provincial educational systems in problems, that are provincial problems. Now, all the provincial educational systems are in problems, that are the problems of the nation. If these problems there are from history to now and in tendency into future, we should consider that they are also probably the problems of constitution.

Reconstitution Of Canada By Exegesisme (1) 1 California Institute of Technology (Caltech) Pasadena United States of America 2 Harvard University Cambridge United States of America 3 University of Oxford Oxford United Kingdom 4 Stanford University Stanford United States of America 5 University of Cambridge Cambridge United Kingdom 6 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Cambridge United States of America 7 Princeton University Princeton United States of America 8 University of California, Berkeley Berkeley United States of America 9 Imperial College London London United Kingdom 9 Yale University New Haven United States of America 11 University of Chicago Chicago United States of America 12 University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Los Angeles United States of America 13 ETH Zürich – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich Zürich Switzerland 14 Columbia University New York United States of America 15 Johns Hopkins University Baltimore United States of America 16 University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia United States of America 17 University of Michigan Ann Arbor United States of America 18 Duke University Durham United States of America 19 Cornell University Ithaca United States of America 20 University of Toronto Toronto Canada As you see the Top20 rankings of world university, what do you feel, and how do you feel? I feel that our dear Canada has lost on the top, is losing on the top, and will lose on the top, if we do not do anything significant. What is wrong with our dear Canada? In the field of higher education, USA is so strong, UK is so strong, but our Canada is so weak! I have tried to look for the reason for a long time, but I have not get the key. Now I believe I get the key, the unconstitutional practice of federal politics. "Whether MPs should act as delegates or trustees, both views of representation are constrained by another reality of Canada's parliamentary tradition: party politics and discipline. Most MPs are members of a political party and, as such, are required to follow the wishes of their party when deliberating and acting in the House. In Canada party discipline is much more acute than in other western democracies. In the United States and the United Kingdom, for example, representatives enjoy considerably more freedom from their parties. Canadian MPs, however, are expected to follow the direction set by their parties' leadership and caucus — even when that direction is in opposition to their views or the demands of their constituents."(2) That is the party politics and discipline! Under the party politics and the party discipline, our MPs in the House even can not represent themselves and their constituents, and their freedom is considerably less than their counterparts in both USA and UK. Our MPs even can not protect their own constitutional freedom in the House! Our higher education system is under suck a federal party politics and party discipline, does not surprise me by losing in long run on the top. As I review the role of the prime minister, and his or her office, the information even surprises me more. "Unwritten constitutional convention holds that this authority is actually exercised by the Prime Minister and his/her Cabinet." (3). Here I understand as the authority of the Prime Minister is constitutional convention although unwritten. "The PMO represents an important central agency in the Canadian government. The term 'central agencies' refers to a group of government administrative bodies whose responsibilities extend across all policies areas. This is due to the Prime Minister’s position at the pinnacle of executive political power in the federal government, and the PMO’s role as the Prime Minister’s personal exempt staff. The PMO acts as an extension of the Prime Minister in his/her dealings with other parts of government and the parliamentary system as a whole and, in this context, plays an important role in political decision-making."(4). Here I learn that the role of the PMO is the central agency as an extension of the Prime Minister in the unwritten constitutional convention. "The Constitution is recognized as the supreme law in Canada."(4). "This notion of supremacy carries with it the principle of Constitutionalism. Under this principle, no political actor or institution is above the principles and norms as defined by the Constitution. Regardless of whether one is the Monarch, the Prime Minister of Canada, a provincial Premier, or an elected representative in a legislature, all are legally obligated to act in accordance with the constitutional rulebook."(4). Here, I learn that the Constitution is the supreme law, and the different parts of the constitution are in balances of each other according each significance in the constitution. However, the balances is still at low level, which have made too much authoritarian and too less freedom, and in turn have made Canada lose the contest of higher educational systems on the top international in long run. For improving everything needed in the future of Canada, our Canadian people should check our constitution, and even reconstitutes Canada if in need. The Unconstitutional Political Practice Should Be Ended Soon By Exegesisme The definition of democracy: is ruled by the omnipotent majority. In a democracy, an individual, and any group of individuals composing any minority, have no protection against the unlimited power of the majority. It is a case of Majority-over-Man.(1) The definition of republic: A republic is a representative democracy with a written constitution of basic rights that protect the minority from being completely unrepresented or overridden by the majority.(1) From the definitions of democracy and republic, I found that politically a republican regime is more advanced than a democratic regime, and a republic is developed for overcoming the trap of democracy. The definition of republic includes the good part meaning of democracy, but the definition of democracy does not the more advanced meaning of republic. If I have right to choose, I choose to live in a republican regime other than a democratic regime, and I choose to live in a more republican regime other than a less republican regime. The reason is that, if I am one of majority, I dislike the omnipotent power, and if I am one of minority, I hope my fundamental rights are in good protection. As I measure the politics in Canada, I believe that it is a republic other than a pure democracy. We have a written constitution, we have the Chapter of Rights and Freedoms. However, I also notice that, in political practice, because of the Canadian political history, even the rights and freedoms of the representative function of a MP are under the limitation of the discipline of her or his own party. Canadian MPs, however, are expected to follow the direction set by their parties' leadership and caucus — even when that direction is in opposition to their views or the demands of their constituents."(2) This corrupt custom, the discipline of a party has been put over the constitutional rights and freedoms, and also over the representative function, is unconstitutional, and should be ended as fast as we can. We, the Canadian people, should ask strongly that each MP should be really responsible for her or his riding, and we need more republic and good democracy, we do not need a false democracy! reference (1) http://www.diffen.com/difference/Democracy_vs_Republic (2) http://mapleleafweb.com/features/house-commons-introduction-canadas-premier-legislative-body

The Reunion Of Altruism And Selfishness On Selfish Morality By Exegesisme I once had lived in Chinese communism regime for decades. I suffered deeply from many good names, but actually they were only all sorts of disguises of evil. As I went deep in Chinese history, I realized the core there is that evil of fa-school disguised with that appearing goodness of Confucianism. And nowadays in that politics of Chinese communism regime, there were so much evil hiding behind so many good words by names. As I turn my attention to western traditions and histories, and realize that that similar phenomena also existed. Therefore, that knowing or unknowing evil beings in various disguises of goodness are that nature of evil. On this finding, I try to look for words and ways to make names to express goodness that are distinguished from those disguises of evils, and are much less likely to be used by evils as their disguises. On this intention, I casted the concept Selfish Morality. The word selfish means that a person cares only about herself or himself, and not about other people. The word morality in my mind means that an inner ability with a set of believes to distinguish the right and acceptable expecting behaviors from those wrong behaviors. I stress the word expecting in the expression the right and acceptable expecting behaviors, to make the word morality work in future direction. As the word selfish and the word morality work together in the concept Selfish Morality, the meaning of Selfish Morality appears as the inner ability with a set of believes to distinguish the right and acceptable expecting behaviors for the expecting good benefits of good self from those wrong behaviors for the wrong benefits of wrong self. From this definition of selfish morality, I see an evolutional mechanism of selfish morality on future-directed healthy self-criticism of those wrong behaviors for the wrong benefits of wrong self in the past. The word self is crucial for understanding the concept selfish morality. There are many different selves of the same person, such as my self in the eyes of God, my self in the eyes of my family; my deep self, my inner self; my past self, my future self, my self at now; my self as an officer, my self as a super-applied-meditator, my self as the image of the president as I try to see everything from the eyes of the president, my self as the image of God as I try to see everything from the eyes of God; and so on. In the open understanding of self and on future-directed healthy self-criticism, I see the reunion of altruism and selfishness in the concept of selfish morality.
