  1. Here's the link http://ca.news.yahoo.com/malaysia-airlines-flight-mh370-know-far-090000703.html According to the link, human intervention is the leading possibility of what could have happened. I believe this is good news! Good news for the passengers and their families who must be worried sick and sleepless for the past week. I sincerely hope the plane safely touched down and that all on board are in good health. WWWTT
  2. I wonder if this is related? http://ri.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEVjaONyRTUysA7WoXFwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTBybnV2cXQwBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--/RV=2/RE=1394911246/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.thestar.com%2fnews%2fworld%2f2014%2f02%2f17%2fethiopian_pilot_hijacks_his_own_plane_in_asylum_bid.html/RK=0/RS=eHDZx4cg3Njx.pcAHAcstpUclZw- An Ethiopian plane was hijacked by the co-pilot and landed in Geneva! This happened less than a month before the Malaysian flight! WWWTT
  3. Anyways segnosaur, I'm not going to go further into this history debate over Afghanistan. Regardless of who was right/wrong, I still don't see anything that would warrant Canadian personal/resources into getting involved. We have no venture there and I'm happy we can put it behind us now. Lesson hard learned as far as I'm concerned! WWWTT
  4. Kevin O'Leary is going to be leaving Dragon's Den!Hi Hip Hooray Hip Hip Hooray Hip Hip Hooray!

No, you're just as bad when it comes to making things up to suit your particular ideology.

Little testy there aren't we Squid? Anyways, I'm sure there's lots of people popping the cork with this news!

I imagine people watch the show specifically to see him be a jerk. Gordon Ramsay has made his rudeness a huge industry.

  5. I partially agree. But hindsight is 20/20. The Soviets were right all along on this one. Furthermore, at the time, the US had greater influence over western countries than now. China, Brazil, India, Indonesia (among others) of today were not the same power/influence during the mid 80's. WWWTT
  6. That's an excellent point you make! The US stayed out of the mess the UK /Great Britain created. I always felt that this isolation attitude helped the US focus internally in turn becoming the world power of the 20 century. WWWTT
  7. Thanks for the link BC! We owe a lot to the pioneers of aviation! WWWTT
  8. It almost seems that you are disappointed that we fail the ability to help in this search. Sorry but I should not be contributing to thread drift. I used the flight as an example as to where our military focus should be placed as opposed to campaigns like Afghanistan. More search and rescue as opposed to destructive abilities. WWWTT
  9. Nope sorry but I do not agree! Canada has absolutely no say in US foreign policy, so why should Canada help the US when their policy fails? WWWTT
  10. Soviets were fighting Islamic extremists, sorry but the Soviets were the "good guys"! Guess you forgot who helped the Afghan Islamic extremists establish power? Here's a reminder to freshen your memory Apparently the founding fathers comment is taken out of context, however the US aid to Bin Laden is real! WWWTT
  11. Ok here's the most recent update link I can find from Borneo. Note the time stamp, it is a full 12hrs ahead there (or something like that). Starting to look like the tracking devices were deliberately shut off as opposed to mechanical failure, so possibly this plane did land safely.(if the info on the link is correct) That's my hope anyways, that all aboard are safe. Either way, this flight is still well on its way into the history books as one of the most oddest in aviation history! WWWTT
  12. Circumstantial evidence is not proof of an invasion. Never said I agreed with belonging to NATO either. WWWTT
  13. Last night I saw a CBC poll that says that well over 80% of Canadians feel the mission was a failure! I'm sorry but NATO is a waste of Canadian resources. I'm fully aware of the huge errors made of previous governments. Meanwhile there are two Canadians missing on that Malaysian flight and not one Canadian vessel helping in the search. Sad wrong and stupid all at the same time. Canada can do lots to help other countries find peace, but not through war. I believe our debate is there. WWWTT
  14. Why should Canada be responsible for a mess the US created? WWWTT
  15. In the end you are right! But I don't sit on my hands. I write my MP! The one I have now sometimes writes back As far as I'm concerned, the Afghan mission was a waste of time and money and only made things worse! Negotiations from the start was always the better path to take! WWWTT
  16. I don't believe so. We are challenging some of the reason for entering into the Afghan campaign through debate! WWWTT
  17. Sounds like a load to me! Smoke and mirrors covering an aggressive foreign policy. WWWTT
  18. Are woman getting equal pay for equal work straight across Canada? What about prostitutes that go missing? Do police dedicate the same resources as say another missing person? WWWTT
  19. I pasted the comments made from the writer of the column in question. But for some reason it was not highlighted (I'm probably doing something wrong). Anyways, the writer does believe that the search was in the wrong area as being the main reason no evidence is appearing. Regardless, there are several facts about the black box, the integrity of such, and search procedures. Lets move on now shall we, I definitely won't be entertaining anymore comments you may have about that site because this is thread drift. WWWTT
  20. Agreed, but the Harper government has been in power now for eight years and has done squat to change the focus of the Canadian military towards a more realistic/helpful direction. There are two Canadians on that plane that have families and friends right here in Canada. Canada needs to be at the table when it comes to aviation safety! Especially taking into account the geography of Canada and our dependence on foreign trade.(S.Korea free trade deal as an example of increased closer relations!) Oh don't worry Spiderfish, I'm going to spend some time this afternoon writing an email to my conservative MP Kyle Seeback that I'm not happy with the conservatives lame approach to protecting valuable Canadian interests! WWWTT
  21. Sorry but that would be saying that the Canadian government cares more about women rights in a foreign country more than Canada. That does not make sense. Therefore not true. WWWTT
  22. That's all speculation Rue. Top priority still has to be searching for the plane or wreckage. As time goes on without finding anything, then I believe the theories will start dominating. Not sure how much time will have to elapse before this happens? WWWTT
  23. I believe that there are many examples of sexism that are still continuing in Canada and other modern countries. But not at the same level as in other less developed countries. WWWTT
  24. Yes actually women are oppressed very much here in Canada and other western countries! I believe almost every country, if not every country in the world still has noticeable oppression towards women. Kind of hypocritical thinking that Canada would occupy a country to improve human rights when we are still an violator. WWWTT
  25. Personally, I'm not buying any of that without a lot more evidence. The most likely explanation so far is that the debris simply hasn't been found yet because it fell over an area which is somehow outside the search zone. But as each day goes by, even this explanation becomes harder and harder to swallow This quote is taken out of the article in question. And then the writers final comment here The frightening part about all this is not that we will find the debris of Flight 370; but rather that we won't. If we never find the debris, it means some entirely new, mysterious and powerful force is at work on our planet which can pluck airplanes out of the sky without leaving behind even a shred of evidence. If there does exist a weapon with such capabilities, whoever controls it already has the ability to dominate all of Earth's nations with a fearsome military weapon of unimaginable power. That thought is a lot more scary than the idea of an aircraft suffering a fatal mechanical failure. This part is far fetched. If the debris is never found, then one must conclude that there is no debris or it cannot be found for some reason. Once again Michael Hardner, I don't care about the messenger, just the info. The link provided good info, if you have doubts, it has been noted. In the mean time, I suggest that you do not be so quick to believe in everything that you may here (UFO's) WWWTT
