  1. As already stated, our contribution, combined with the Australians, Dutch, Danes and Belgians, equates to the striking power of a USN aircraft carrier. It use, combined with the ISR aircraft, will degrade ISIS the benefit of operating on the roads and in formations larger than “a couple of guys in a Toyota”.....All this of course enables both the Iraqi army and Kurds the ability to provide security to their villages, towns and cities.
  2. What do you hope to achieve with such an inane and (off-topic) offensive statement?
  3. I think there is a realization that regardless of “root causes”, be they from 10, 100 or 1000 years ago, or if we caused them or not, there is a problem presently and if not addressed, it will continue to worsen.
  4. Based on the seat projections Waldo provided, said poll includes the new seats.
  5. Why do you feel its a zero sum game? We already are providing humanitarian aid in areas that its safe to do so, with the objective of military aid being to ensure security through the rest of the country.....you know, so people won't have to flee to refugee camps and require aid. Ironic that Trudeau proposed more Humanitarian aid, without security that military action will bring, the same day a British aid worker lost his head....
  6. There's no question about the threat of ISIS growing: This is a growing threat, a threat that should be addressed now as opposed to later.
  7. How are we over the map? Argus and I both are supportive of military action.
  8. We know not helping the Iraqis will only make things worse.
  9. Define a "little more"........What more is needed to know that the rape and murder of women and children is a "bad thing"?
  10. Did you not state: Genocide against women and children is not a case for military action?
  11. Are you suggesting Trudeau will support military action to help stop the Iraqi genocide of women and children? Clearly stating genocide of women and children isn't a case for action is ridiculous........
  12. It doesn't sound like such action will be required...........But if any Government requested such aid, to the best of our ability, it should be forthwith.
  13. Does it mater? Trudeau doesn't care about abuses towards women......
  14. I'm sure the women and children in Iraq being raped and murdered feels this one has already turned to shit........The same women and children Trudeau doesn't feel justify Western military action to aid the Iraqi Government in stopping.
  15. Which poll does Trudeau base his inaction to genocide on?
  16. What is dumb is Trudeau suggesting further aid alone would address the problem......the same day an aid worker got his head cut off Is this the preview of a PM Trudeau........Women and Children being raped and murdered, but he doesn't feel there is a case for action against those that perpetrate such crimes.....brilliant!!! Pearson is spinning in his grave no doubt!!!
  17. There's no puzzle at all........Trudeau's inaction and failure to recognise crimes against humanity is quite clear......
  18. I suppose for Trudeau, the following UN report isn't enough for action: If that's not a case for action, I don't know what is....
  19. Not quite, we had a PM that said no without UN sanction........Does Trudeau require UN sanction to support operations in Iraq, support for the Government of Iraq in combating a terrorist group committing wholesale genocide...........Funny enough, that same PM that said no to Iraq, also stood by during genocide in Rwanda..... So, Trudeau doesn't care about the women and children being tortured, raped and murdered in Iraq by ISIS?
  20. Not scared of ISIS presently, but if left unchecked, what they will become...........
  21. What then would make the case? Are not the Iraqi Government and Kurd population requesting military action? What more does Trudeau need?
  22. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2008/03/14/conservatives_liberals_extend_afghanistan_mission.html Nothing, other than the request for aid by the Government of Iraq..........Are you suggesting the Trudeau Liberals would support action in Iraq if there was a UN mandate? Does a country require a mandate for military action when requested by the Government of the nation the military action is to take place?
  23. So now that the Liberals have the information, as released Friday, will have a chance to debate/ask further questions (Monday) and a vote.......What is the Problem? Trudeau very clearly stated he opposes Canadian military action........
  24. Indeed.......and for those scoring at home the Liberals stance on military action post 9/11 ---Liberal Government sent military to Afghanistan ---Liberal Government opposed war in Iraq sans a UN mandate, but after the Americans and British, Canada had the third largest contingent within the Gulf, well providing logistical support and escorts to American forces involved in the opening of the war……and of course, soon to be Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff supported the war --Liberal Government increased the scope of Canada’s combat mission in Afghanistan --Liberal Party voted in favour of extending Afghan mission --Liberal Party voted in favour of air strikes over Libya --Liberal Party doesn’t support air strikes in Iraq to aid the elected Government of Iraq and the Kurdish peoples
  25. But of course, we have been providing aid for several months.......I don't think Trudeau knows what he wants.
