  1. The CBSA doesn't need a warrant to search anything crossing international borders.....
  2. Though I don't doubt it will happen one day (When did they automate the shuttle craft in Star Trek again?), I don't expect it anytime soon, as both my wife and I have had several bolters with park assist features, from several different higher end makers......
  3. I agree, I cross over 10-15 times a year and have only gone into secondary, in both directions, maybe a dozen times, when either transporting firearms or returning on a few shopping trips with the wife........and then, both Canadian and American border agents, have been polite and I'm delayed at most 20-30 minutes. Odd that only the criminals and jerks are hassled
  4. I never said different........but claiming a member to be Mr Canada because you disagree with their posts is akin to a witch-hunt.....And let's say said member is Mr Canada, your witch-hunt results in a new banning, and a week later he creates another faux account.....what is the point? As pointed out by the moderators, if a member feels another member to be a troll, or in this case a Mr Canada, ignore and report.......it would seem ignoring a troll/Mr Canada troll, starving them of the attention their chemically unbalanced mind seeks, would achieve the best results.
  5. Its not a threat in the slightest, but fact..........anyone that crosses a land/air border crossing into the United States has their personal info recorded and stored for upwards of 75 years...If you make an ass of yourself with US border agents (or any law enforcement) that too is recorded and could prevent you from future entry, and if you do a real humdinger, you could even get yourself on the TSA's no-fly-list......
  6. I've made my position quite clear in the C-51 thread.
  7. Of course I support the idea of the CBSA carrying out their mandate.......
  8. Smart advice.......not heeding it is a surefire way to have your name and personal information (and those you travel with) highlighted under the Entry/Exit initiative for the rest of your natural life.
  9. Of course, then if you're suspected of unlawful acts, they'll just copy your devices contents anyways, unpack your luggage for you and keep you in secondary for hours on end......fore they, after all, work 24/7......and rest assured, on future trips, you'll get to repeat the process.
  10. If brought into secondary, and requested to unlock your device and you tell them to pound sand, they very much so can and do copy your devices contents and/or seize it.
  11. Fill your boots.......you might even get on Border Security
  12. As I said, I never suggested that you were breaking any laws.
  13. I never suggested you did break any laws.......and of course, the CBSA is within their legal right to search and seize any item that crosses international borders unlawfully.
  14. Or the don't expect you of breaking any laws relating to the Criminal Code or Customs Act.......
  15. To seize or copy the data (and attempt to crack copied data) they don't, further then that courts and warrants enter the equation........of course, not being a goof (or breaking the law) is much more easier........
  16. Thats what it sounds like........of course, throwing a tantrum is a good way to get the borders to boycott you (ala Smirnoff)
  17. My jets are chilled, likewise, I don't go bananas at CBSA members when crossing air/land borders, and oddly enough, I don't get "hassled by the man".....funny how that works.
  18. I'm not, as I already pointed out, I don't respond/read the majority of his posts.
  19. In this most recent conversation of ours, did you not first respond to a response of mine, to another member........then claim I was the one obsessed with other members posts? Likewise accuse another member, devoid of any proof, of using numerous IP/accounts? If this was a concern you wish the mods to address, why would you reply to other members posts in such a combative manner?
  20. Yet most of OGFT's posts I don't respond to and/or don't read, due namely to lack of interest in the given topic.
  21. Indeed, as you said above, you feel no need to justify things........hats off on the honesty though.
  22. Which past posts are you speaking of? You have no need to justify anything, but then some might judge your posts to be baseless.
  23. What obsession? As already pointed out, I hardly respond to said member, likewise other members that respond to his posts, in threads that I don't read and/or don't participate in.........
  24. And the result, your phone/computer will be seized if enough of a scene is made, and the CBSA will put you in cells and obtain a warrant to legally unlock it themselves......that ought to learn them.
