Why does it mater? Pipelines, tanker cars and terminals are utilized by numerous oil companies.......likewise, container ports/ships/trains/trucks etc No, I don't care what you do with your money........an investment portfolio devoid of foreign companies would be rather meek. They don't control marketing of Canadian wheat and barley, only their clients wheat and barley...........you're confusing the purpose of the former CWB.

That was late October and rather mild (-15-20), .........by green, I assume you mean grass/shrubs?

I have, as said several times, despite your inane repetition, there are no ammo storage regulations (devoid of a firearm) currently or proposed........If you feel there are (which there aren't) by all means post them, likewise the portion of the decision (that you wrongly) feel includes laws that don't exist. -
The very avenues grain farmers have been selling grain for several years, devoid of the CWB.........or what Ontario and Quebec farmers use.

No you can't, not under the current laws or any proposed laws......as there are no rules or regulations regarding the storage of ammo devoid of a firearm, namely if the safe storage requirements of a firearm are met. If you feel different, provide the laws that you say exist (they don't). -

Under what law? If a gang member in Surrey has a box of ammo in his car, sans both a gun and license, there is nothing said person can be charged with under current and proposed Canadian laws, outside of perhaps conditions relating to the terms of parole. -

No, I don't get your point, as someone won't be charged solely for improper ammo storage........ -

There are no storage of ammo laws absent a firearm..... -
No problem, it does seem to work.......I opened a photobucket, followed the directions and uploaded a photo from my computer........and here, forever on the internet now, a photo of the Kugluktuk airport:

I would think so, though I haven't tried it (on this site), I would assume uploading to a site like photobucket would probably be the answer.

What needs to be taken from the Bill? There are no requirements, currently or proposed, encompassing the storage of ammo. Right now, per the current Firearms Act (Federal Law) any and all gun related crimes are felonies, or federal crimes and are already subject to federal prosecution and punishment.............likewise, the reason in the recent ruling, the SCC didn't object to MMS, but the use of summary prosecution/convictions. -
No, the new CWB is now owned by a global company with operations and trade deals/supply networks in over 40 countries. Then feel free to invest as you like, you have choice, unlike Western grain farmers under the previous CWB. No, we've turned over the final vestiges of the former CWB to an international company..........farmers can now choose to sell their grain to it or go through other avenues........as they have been doing for several years now, or Quebec/Ontario farmers have been doing for decades.

There are no requirements for the storage of ammo (other than the physical relationship to a firearm), nor does one need a license to possess ammo (only purchase). -

And you're piggybacking on "empirical evidence" from a different country which doesn't apply to Canada, of which I don't necessarily disagree in some examples.........Three plus years for having a little bit of grass in a baggy....no, of course not........three plus years for having an illegal select-fire automatic, damn straight, furthermore, they then should go after the person that sold it to you. -
The former CWB will still be headquartered in Canada (Winnipeg)........but I don't understand your desire for a fictional Canadian company? Who cares if its Canadian, American, Saudi or Outer Mongolian? As an investor, I personally would rather invest in a global company, with existing trade deals and influence in over 40 countries than a fictional company limited to several Canadian provinces.........

A simple solution.......don't buy illegal firearms, no mater how cool you think they to be....... Another alternative for the guy that thought said gun was cool, but knowing said gun was illegal, is to join and donate to various interest groups that are trying to make the ownership and use of "cool guns" legal again within Canada and/or go to a gun range outside of Vegas or Scottsdale........no jail time needed. I think risking ones family, job and home, to illegally play with something cool is f*&^kin STUPID......when there are perfectly legal alternatives. -
Canadians haven't been denied investment opportunities, as Bunge Ltd. is a traded company.....the former CWB not so much.

Sure, the difference, in your cited example, you chose to commit felonies. No, I can own a sports car legally, and choose to drive it safely and in a lawful manner........I can't own a Glock 18 legally, nor use it in a lawful manner. How many gun crimes are committed in a Federal prison? -

Again, what is the desire to limit ownership to domestic buyers?

Right, but you still willing committed numerous felonies. I wonder how many street racers think drag racing on public roads is cool, and in turn, if law enforcement would let it slide....... I don't look at it as a public revenue tool, but public safety. If we as society determine that a reasonable accommodation for the legal ownership of firearms is licensing in addition to other related laws, those that choose to break those laws, endangering public safety, should be punished. -

Right, and as mentioned, once it comes into effect, C-42 will address much of those issues surrounding "paper crimes" I agree, and to further that, go after hard the smugglers and dealers of illegal guns with even stiffer punishments. -

I think Argus's point was "no reason to be carrying a gun around illegally" anywhere in Canada, sans criminal intent. -
Right, but why does that mater? Most industries across Canada have varying degrees of foreign ownership or are subsidiaries of foreign companies......If it is a problem for some, farmers can now choose not to sell their crops to foreign interests, likewise consumers can choose not to buy "foreign" or "domestic but foreign owned".
-
So what? Should the Government of Canada still be in the airline and retail gas business? Likewise, only the majority share of the CWB was sold...
