And to add. I do understand the need to raise the bar and I think this is being successful thanks to the diligence being applied. However, deleting so many posts seems a tad unreasonable and removes the character of many posters here. In the end, it becomes a clinical site.

The woman was an innocent bystander. Cops in Chicago need training to quickly determine when not to shoot.

And it looks like more education is required when a cop accidentally kills a 55 year old mom. Geez.

I'm trying to figure out the heavy handed approach to deleting posts. It seems to me posts are being deleted when the mods are reviewing them in isolation of the entire thread. I know the mods don't have time to follow an entire thread so how on earth can they determine what should be deleted? I know, I know. Charles has explained if they don't add substance to a thread, but really?? How would he know?

It's just not the Chinese. Many immigrants 'and refugees' have this trait to run their own businesses. I have seen it with many of my kids friends parents. I suppose because they are up against prejudice of being hired so they have to try harder to create jobs for themselves and their families and in turn contribute to the local economy with taxes paid and jobs.

Well I'm sure we will soon hear a response that all Chinese in BC are wealthy foreigners.

The emergency personnel also did not relay the information to the cops that it may possibly be a toy gun. Lots of blame to go around.
