  1. I am attempting to spearhead a public healthcare opposition response to the Kenney government's assault on healthcare. Our plans have to be as comprehensive and detailed as possible. 1. At this moment, I am trying to figure out how MLAs communicate between themselves. I presume this is via "Dear Colleague" letters. But, I am not certain if there is a particular format, and as to whether there are rules of decorum regarding such. Does anyone have any information they can share regarding this? 2. Does anyone have any advice as to how to research individual MLAs, in regards to what their election campaign platforms were, what they have spoken out about, what their constituent cross-section looks like, what their particular important pillars of support are within their region. Sure, the short answer is: google it. But I am hoping that people might be able to offer up some specific online resources etc that are particularly useful. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. By helping here you might be making an important contribution to the future existence of public healthcare in this country. As Alberta wages its war with their healthcare system, the rest of the country is watching. Thanks again John

  2. My nephews were learning by distance the whole time, so I don't see how children could miss out on education. Seniors are the highest risk for covid. Would you rather attend her funeral? She could play bridge online i am sure, or invite three friends to her house(or one of them to theirs) We went through all of this in the Spanish flu pandemic so I don't see any reason we cannot today. There was no internet back then. Many people did not have cars or electricity. And they pulled through, after a world war no less. Why would you think I'd have to live like a hermit? I can go out anytime I want, provided I wear a mask. So can you.

  4. And meanwhile the rest of the world is frantically building coal fired power plants - hundreds and hundreds every year.

  5. Long time lurker, posting first time as driven by my need to address a perceived problem with the narrative. Am I expected to believe that any data regarding infection rates or deaths is somehow sacrosanct; immune to the laws of probability and margin of error? Seems to me we have no hard empirical evidence of rates of infection .. Population testing samples are quite small, and seemingly the basis for some creative extrapolative modelling. Modelling that to this date has been proven to be absolutely jaw-droppingly wrong. We have what, a 10% tested population ? With a virus that is chimeric, proven to have already mutated, and paired with a test failure rate that provides no surety of any accuracy? I would think that any claims of knowing real infection rate or actual mortality are suspect pending a much more complete testing regimen. We simply can't know given our current coverage. The margins of error are gigantic. Not quite as gigantic as the current hysteria and resulting opportunistic attempts at control, but in the same ballpark. Perhaps a more prudent discussion would be that it isn't whether or not attempts at totalitarian levels of control have occurred, they demonstrably have, but whether or not those attempts are justified in the name of public health. 6. That's not corruption! Lol. He didn't ram it through against the will of conservatives! They voted on it! If I remember it right - the aim was to unite the divided conservatives! At some point, the leader will have to make his decision. That's not a flaw! That's..............................LEADERSHIP! If McKay had indeed thought it best for the Conservatives to be united - then, he decided unselfishly! He gave up leadership for the best interest of all conservatives! That decision had helped tremendously for the Conservatives to finally win a federal election! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_MacKay And why shouldn't McKay negotiate for a cabinet position? He was the leader of the other party - he has to have some important position within the new coalition! How can he have any input at all in this new party if he has no cabinet position? There's nothing wrong with that! That's common! Just look into business mergers - there is something that's always negotiated for! Furthermore, it's not comparable at all to the corruption we've seen REPEATEDLY committed by Trudeau! The brazen and blatant efforts at corruption/unethical dealings by Trudeau is.................................................. groundbreaking! Lol - Trudeau averages one ethic breach a year! There could be more that went on. Let's not forget his attempt to try to sneak in a bill that gives him so much power in that covid bill that was supposed to be emergency aid for Canadians! Lol, good thing that the opposition had caught that! I'd rather take my chances with a new Captain at the helm. I'd like to see an election!

  7. He actually made a campaign promised not to prorogue, he didn't just march against it as an MP. Harper was trying to avoid defeat, but Trudeau is trying to prevent Canadians from learning the truth about how pervasive the this scandal really is, that along with his own family’s clear conflict of interest. All you need to know about Trudeau Prorogation. "We need to prorogue Parliament" "But Parliament already is shut down" "But not the Committee investigating our corruption" "Good Point"
