An interesting article in Quillette today on the prevalence of misogyny in society. What a review of studies shows is the reverse, that in almost all things, society favors women over men. Many feminists and progressives argue that the West is plagued by pervasive misogyny. In fact, this claim is made with such frequency, and is so rarely challenged, that it has become part of the Left’s catechism of victimhood, repeated by rote without a second thought. The only real question is how powerful and pernicious the misogyny is. Real-world data, however, suggest a different narrative, complicated by the fact that men have worse outcomes in many domains. For example, they are much more likely to be incarcerated, to be shot by the police, to be a victim of violent crime, to be homeless, to commit suicide, and to die on the job or in combat than women. Furthermore, they have a shorter life expectancy and are less likely to be college educated than women. Although these (and similar) data can be reconciled with the pervasive misogyny theory, they should at least give pause to the open-minded. This is exactly why they've been mandated, of course. I assume you've seen those guys talking from their hospital beds, explaining how they figured they were young, healthy and safe, the virus scare was overblown, no need to wear a mask or social distance - now begging people to take precautions, wash their hands, social distance, wear a mask. Herman Caine thought masks were stupid, too; then he caught Covid-19 and now he's dead. Yes, being asked to take some minor action to protect others is certainly a hallmark of a lack of freedom. Speed limits, drunk driving prohibitions, rules about driving on roads and not just the fuck wherever you want, how we are oppressed! And now a mask! Will the oppression ever end? /s The only ignorance on display here are the anti-maskers who think wearing a mask is some infringement on their freedom. Its really hard not to wish we'd see more of them in hospital beds, admitting their stupidity and begging others not to be so stupid. But that would only put our health care people at more risk, never mind the people these anti-mask morons may have infected before even knowing they were sick. So I'm glad our rates are low, and that your stupidity probably won't land you or anyone you love in the hospital or morgue.

For any who missed it, the Democrats had what they called a "Hearing" yesterday where they called Attorney General Barr to talk on among other things the plague of violence and destruction being unleashed on America - or what those above are being instructed to think of as "protests" or "demonstrations" by the far left supporting mainstream media. They called it a "Hearing," but they didn't hear much - cutting the attorney general off any time he attempted a response, choosing instead to filibuster and demagogue. In fact when the Republicans tried to introduce a video illustrating the violence on the streets and the media's desperate attempts to cover it up, the Democrats cut the video. If anybody would like to dare to see the violence the regressive left won't let you see though, here it is below. See it quick before the Social Media left bans it.
