Shady Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Wanted: Obama healthcare reform volunteers willing to be paid $15 an hour Craigslist It seems that, despite all the media attention lavished on e-mail appeals to his supporters, not everyone pushing for President Obama's embattled healthcare reform plan these warm August days is an idealistic volunteer in it for the sake of helping move the country forward and gaining medical attention for millions of uninsured Americans. LA Times This from the same people accusing Obamacare protestors of being astroturf, and not grassroots. And this from the same people accusing Obamacare protestors of being paid by lobbyists, or being actual lobbyists. Shame on them. Quote

From the article "It's hiring and assigning canvassers to work in at least 28 states, including California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Oregon, Massachusetts, Minnesota and New Jersey." Nothing about protesters you chose to make that part up. Good job lying, no wait bad job lying. Quote

Shame on them. It is exactly like the so called grassroots movement against the health care reform. I stated that in another thread where the GOP sponsored some movements and charged them 15 bucks a day to 'get the right information to protest properly'. Nice that you missed the other thread I made......... http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums//index....showtopic=14666 ..... which you participated in. I did not see you denouncing the right wing people who acted the same damn way. There is astroturf on both sides of this fence, and they are both playing you for a fool. Quote

All one has to do is look at the polls. Obama's facing an almost 60% disapproval rating related to how he's handled healthcare reform. It's no wonder people are protesting. And most of the protests are grass roots, without any adverisements on craigslist. Quote

Or is this another bait and switch, like when you asked about what part of the end of life provisions were dropped, instead of admitting your initial mistake. You're the classic liberal shell-gamer. As I've already stating in another thread, I'm very pro-living will, and for the most part, don't have a problem with end of life provisions, depending on the details. But you guys are playing a shell game again. This topic wasn't about that, it was about the fake paid protests of the pro-Obamacare crowd, and their willingness to pay $600 a week to anyone who helps them. Read the polls. Obama is upside down on every healthcare poll. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to understand that it's gonna mean a lot of people dislike his program. So the anti-Obamacare protests shouldn't be a suprise. Quote

Oleg Bach Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 America the great corporate giant - where everyone is an employee..and where everyone can become president - if you want or can pay the price tag..what a system. I guess the old disbarred Jewish lawyer communist buddy of mine was right when he said - "they will do anything, say anything for a pay cheaque"....money controls all - and that is the fuel to the machine that is moral neutrality - no wonder they can't get anything done - they are more cocerend about the money than actutally accomplishing something. They hold a place in line for lobbyists in Washington D.C. who are too lazy to attend hearings. Did you even bother reading what you posted? The Hoseins work for linestanding.com, one of several companies that offer the unusual service. The company charges lobbyists and interest groups $36 an hour, with a two-hour minimum, to use a line-stander for hearings. Good one punked! Quote
punked Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Opinion punked? Yes my opinion is that if there is a 2-3 hour wait on lie for Lobbiest to see representatives of the government there is something wrong shady. Quote
