here is a great ad that tells why government and most of the public has no clue about why more money is needed for public education. i hope some of you educate yourselves and understand how important public schools and its teachers are to the fabric of society.

Thankful to have become a free thinker.

Harper disagrees with you on that.

why are you getting off topic. you are missing the great points from the ad that the public commonly overlooks.

maybe in your ignorant simple little world. good ad isn't it shady?

No, not in my ignorant simple little world. In Canada. The constitution is the very fabric of our society, in which our civil society is based upon.

I think for the most part, everyone deserves to be paid more. Unfortunately, that isn't always possible.

Odd.

I always hear that everyone deserves less, except of course any right wing poster. Right wing posters are the only ones who are apparently worth what they are paid... everyone else deserves less.

Ideology does not make good policy. Good policy comes from an analysis of options, comparison of options and selection of one option that works best in the current situation. This option is often a compromise between ideologies.

Oh I quite agree with you, but Harper doesn't:

I also agree with socialist that the teachers who educate our kids make a critical contribution to our society.

In my 20+ years working along side teachers, I was constantly amazed by their insight, dedication, creativity, stamina, and going waaaaaaay beyond hob requirements. They earn every penny, and give more time and effort than they're paid for.

Some people get furious at work to rule - no teams, clubs, etc.

Some people recognize that we owe them respect for the humoungus amount of volunteer time they put in.

Teachers make a huge volunteer contribution to communities.

I find that most people go way beyond their requirements, not just teachers. But again, they go about their everyday lives. They don't beat their chests about it, letting the world know how much they care, and how far they go.
