The fact is that dropping a bomb on an apartment building full of civilians is bound to kill civilians and shelling densly populated area with high explosives is also bound to kill civilians. The intent or at least reasonable knowledge of the effect cannot be denied, no matter how much you squirt about the "moral" goals.

You said nothing to prove otherwise. I can't care less why this is done that isn't. The result is clear: demonstration of hugely superior military might to force people abandon insurgency. Otherwise, they could have used police tactics and went after specific individuals.

Yes I concede that a bomb on a apartment buiding will kill lots of people. Perhaps the insurgents should use apartment buildings? Perhaps y9our example is ummm......during he entire siege of Fallujah no more than 800 civilians were killed and that nmber is contested as being grossly inflated. Considering most of the population evacated annd was allowed to evacate, your exagerated claims don't hold water.

These contingencies are set out in the geneva convention. If all one had to do to avoid a counter attack would be to hide in the women's dorm all attacks would be launched from the YWCA.

If it was that easy, they would, but the greater chance is they are not going after as you so charmingly call "specific individuals", they are going after squads of heavily armed men.......men who would take those police and cut off their heads.......

While I am pointing a finger, I just can't find a reasonable and polite explanation for having such erroneous premises. Especially in the face of reasonable explanations that I have given. I suppose there is a reason you hold on to them, but I am not particulary interested in it.

This may come as a complete shock to you, but in combat, the goal isn't to make the enemy feel safe and cozy, but to scare the crap out of him in hopes they surrender or become ineffectual. But your fuzzy thinking seems to feel that the fight should somehow be fair inb terms of strength. And that is just plain either niave thinking. So your comment about using superior forces to terrorize civilians was addressed. How you choose to spin it is your decision, but don't expect me to pay attention to stupidity. From now one, Myata is on ignore.
