Others attribute this to greatly increased demand for Canadian resources and Buzz Hargrove was heard giving ol' Fibber Flaherty the big union raspberry for doing sweet nothing about problems in the Ontario economy. Flaherty has also been trying to take credit for the fact that the big banks all got together to do something about the sub-prime mortgage meltdown. No doubt this is a great source of amusement on Bay Street this week. Flaherty is busy handing out pictures of himself walking down a centre block stairway holding hands with Steve. <<I was told by moderator Charles Anthony to edit the subtitle which originally said "The old fibber is on the ropes" because he thinks it is name-calling. Time for the manufacturers to be more productive. sink or swim. Government should stay out of it other than to cut corporate taxes perhaps and take care of infrastructure. The 'manufacturing section' are the ones responsible for doing something about the 'manufacturing section'. They could start by making products that people want to buy.
